The ScoutCast takes on the role of support group ahead of Gameweek 18, as the four-strong collective attempt to give advice on how to find motivation when the season begins to slide into the abyss.

I go AWOL, though Peter Kouwenberg comes in for a timely debut. The former Hall of Fame number one is one of those suffering an abject season, after an extraordinary run of three successive top 300 finishes. No, really.

For once, Jonty, Andy and Az are in the presence of Fantasy Premier League greatness, then, as the quartet give counsel on those struggling to soldier on after a season of “unnecessary roughness”.

Elsewhere they talk Harry Kane for once, as exit plans are abandoned, while questioning whether Eden Hazard can justify his selection in light of David Silva’s sudden goal spree.

    Going to try again.

    A move towards a stronger midfield seems the way to go at the moment. I'm thinking of doing Richarlison to Silva this week and then Vardy and Gross to Calvert-Lewin and Pogba next week to give me:

    Christensen, Monreal, Cresswell, Simpson, Lowton
    Salah, Hazard, Silva, Pogba, Loftus-Cheek

    Would like to save the transfer but with 2 injury concerns and not the strongest bench I'm having second thoughts. Any advice? Morata -> Rooney/Firminho and Richarlison -> Sterling/Silva seems like a possible move but doubts about being able to buy back Morata later.

    Which was probably foolish after last GW transfers:
    Mustafi to Kabasele
    Sterling to Cout

    But I realised I prefer to have De Gea more than Jones or Smalling because of rotations.

    Now I have lost -4 from Sterling and didnt have him vs Swansea...
    Lets hope I dont make this kind of transfers again... ( and Coutinho doesnt bite me like Sterling)

      Both.. Neither are likely to start very often.. It's generally quite easily to play fixtures by transferring defenders from lower teams in the draft game and make sure you're getting a sold defence out easy week.
