Jonty Joins As Community Manager

Fantasy Football Scout is delighted to announce that Jonty has joined the team as Community Manager from this week. Jonty has been a fantastic contributor to the site for several seasons but now joins the ranks, along with Paul, on a more permanent basis as Fantasy Football Scout continues to grow.

Jonty will be dedicated to working with the community over the season. His first task will be to recruit a team of moderators to work with us on HomeCrowd, the new comments system, to ensure that this new system helps to improve community interaction over the summer and for the season ahead.

He will also be responsible for such matters as Fantasy Football Scout cup tournaments, the Fantasy Football Scout Leagues, the weekly newsletter for members and for a series of articles that will draw on the very best community contributions and activity as the weeks roll by. It’s also pretty certain that he’ll continue to contribute to the ScoutCast, of course, bringing further community insight to the regular nonsense provided by Granville and myself.

I trust you’ll join me in welcoming Jonty as Fantasy Football Scout’s new Community Manager.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

3rdturd...I said skill wasmore important and you argued with me...but if I misrepresented your conclusion I apologise

    Finding it difficult to post

You guys need to remember it doesnt matter what scores you get so longlong as everybody else does slightly worse

I wasn't arguing with your conclusion so much as the way you got to your conclusion, i.e. your comment "some people get top 1000 every season which tells you pretty conclusively that skill is way more important than luck".

It may be you are correct, but I don't think you can infer one from the other. If you read my original post I was not dismissing skill as a relevant factor, I was just saying that luck is often underplayed as a factor, particularly when people do well. I think there is a large degree of self-serving attribution bias going on when people finish with a good rank.

And yes I agree it's nice to have the space to have a discussion like this.

So where does FFP fit into this PSG spending spree. Sounds like they're taking their chances and will cross that bridge when they come to it.

Big time. Maybe they think they have found a loophole in it some how. Is it possible for a rich owner to get one of his other companies to make some sort of massive sponsorship deal or something like that? Would hope it wouldn't be that easy to circumvent FFP but you never know!

apparently FFP is more beneficial to the big teams than the small ones
and I think as PSG keep winning, they will not have to worry about that

              lol

it is all about the music.
He is a music producer/rapper, not a celebrity. (that's what he says)

he is my favourite artist. Pure genius IMO. King of samples.

He seems to get caught up in fashion and drama which other producers don't seem to. I like humble artists and he isn't that. Still makes some great music but there should definitely be a likability factor aswell.

J Dilla, Pete Rock, RZA and DJ Premier beat Kanye any day.

I still think no one beats Kanye as a producer, his samples choices are unreal.

obviously, he is not the humble type. His new album is named 'Yeezus', so you will hate him even more 😆

I don't think you have heard enough of the producers above to appreciate how good their sampling is. Kanye is not a better producer than any of those guys. I don't care how much you like the guy 😉

fair enough, but there are still many other examples
basically all of College dropout and Late regisration has a light beat rapping feel, which I really enjoy.

songs like Good Life in Graduation is also my favourite, with its light, jumpy upbeat rapping.

It's not how much they pay him...they can do that, it's the effect on the other players that most well run clubs guard against. United have had problems in the past with relative pay, as a lot of clubs have, and i'm sure they would be very careful about opening a can of worms long term. Same goes for many teams who would like his services.

Everton could get in if Wigan rejects to play

that's what Portsmouth did a few years back i think (they also went down and qualified trough FA cuo)

The Premier League is close to finalising its deals which will see a total of around £5.5 billion in broadcasting rights for the 2013-16 period - some £2bn more than the current deals.

Computers have reached a level where there is less room for improvement compared to the 80's and 90's and like you say HDTV makes for crisp gaming but there will be noticeable differences when you start playing the new consoles. You always think what is current is best because that's all you know but something new always comes along and takes over.

I don't think we're going to see the same graphics on the 360 and 720. Time will tell though.

If the console isn't operating at it's biggest capability and this new one enables that then you will get an enhanced gaming experience in conjunction with HDTV.

Who cares? They always be inferior to PCs whatever happens? Although it nice that new ones are coming out as multi-platform games have been held back loads in terms of technology because of them being ported by the ancient 360 technology.

And in last place is Alison McOyster on -20137 showing some dedication to transfers. She started off quite calmly with 1 then 3.

She then went off the deep end with 97, 106, 108, 142.. and carried on going until GW24 when she got sectioned.

She was let out for GW30 but made 539 transfers so was re-admitted and is still there.

Total transfers: 5129, Team value: 66.4, In the bank 29
