After Arsenal swept aside Everton at Goodison Park, we turn our attentions to Wembley Stadium as Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool bring the curtain down on Gameweek 9.

All eyes are on Harry Kane, who is still seeking his first league goal at Spurs’ temporary home.

Despite that record, he is second only to Romelu Lukaku in the race for the Gameweek 9 captaincy – 18.4% of FPL managers have handed him the armband.

Given that only two of the top 10 captains have scored so far, a haul from Kane could have a major impact on the overall standings.

Elsewhere for the hosts, Ben Davies is passed fit to return but surprisingly has to settle for a spot on the bench along with Danny Rose.

Sold by over 195,000+ FPL managers last week, the Welshman has started just two of the last five Gameweeks and next faces a weekend trip to Old Trafford.

For the visitors, Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino have the chance to play their way into our plans as the fixtures turn in Liverpool’s favour from Gameweek 10.

And James Milner – listed as a defender in FPL – could also be one to watch as an out of position option, with Jurgen Klopp naming him in midfield this afternoon.

      Sane when playing is a better option but be prepared to be disappointed when he doesn’t start. Silva prob the most nailed player and will get a good share of points. Tough one

    City mids first, third, fifth and sixth in mids table, all scored over 50pts.
    City strikers second and fifth in their table, both over 48pts.
    Suggests to me that you pick the ones you like then stick. There will also be a few extra pts from autosubs which could boost their tallies even higher for FPL, anyway.
    This week proves that you are just as likely to miss the big hauls trying to second guess Pep.

    Do we expect Jesus to play vs Wolves in mid week and then Aguero vs WBA or vice versa? I mean if Kun starts vs Wolves, does that mean that he won't play at least 30 min vs WBA? I would ship Lukaku for Aguero, maybe even tonight because of price drops. 🙁

    Is Firmino about to be dropped after another poor performance in the league?

    Next week may lend itself to Sturridge. I plan to hold on to Sterling and Jesus so it could be even worse than this week if Klopp drops Gok Wan.

      I was considering bringing in Firmino for next week, but after Everton shambles v Arsenal am keeping Vardy.

      I also have Sterling and Jesus, but would hope they play - don't think it's as simple as "play midweek = rest at weekend"

      Sturridge hardly grabbed his last league start with both hands and Bobby did play well vs Maribor...
