With Liverpool facing a blank Gameweek this time round, sales of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge are picking up pace. The Uruguayan has so far seen over 73,000 owners part company, while Sturridge has been moved on by 38,000+, despite a strong set of fixtures to follow. Indeed, with an upcoming schedule that pits Brendan Rodgersโ side against four of the current bottom six in their next six fixtures from Gameweek 28 onwards (wig, TOT, sou, avl, WHM, rea), we analyse the performances of the pair since Sturridgeโs arrival from Chelsea last month:

Still not liking the Wire? I think the over-hype factor may have come into play here.
With neither The Wire or Breaking Bad, will you be blown by the first episode. But get through a bunch of them, and you will suddenly start appreciating the writing, acting etc.Open ControlsWire lived upto the hype for me. Maybe even exceeded it ๐

Morning folks, I assume it's been mentioned that Ben Arfa is in line for "a cameo role on the bench" in the Swansea game?
Open Controlsi think he could be on the bench this weekend.
Open ControlsPardew's comments:
“He looks match-fitness short, but we hope we can get him up to speed for the next round. Sunday is too early. But against Swansea on March 2 he could have a cameo role on the bench.”Open Controls
Swansea? Thought he'd be ready for the bench this weekend?
Open ControlsSee comments above. Could be Pardew being tricksy a la first game of the season where nobody thought he'd play and then he did but thought I'd put the info out there.
Open Controls
I'm thinking to do Davies > Saylor instead of Enrique > Debuchy for a hit? Thoughts?
Open ControlsWhen selling I always consider whether its better to have Liverpool or Swansea defensive cover going forward. I think Liverpool defense is worth investing in as they have solid fixtures till the end of the season. Swansea for that matter have the worst.
Open ControlsExactly. How about Saylor's nailed-on ess?
Open ControlsHow about a Norwich defender? and which one? I'm not too keen on getting Wilson to complete my 11 when his starting place is not quite there yet.
Open Controls
Yanga-Mbiwa is a genuine threat to his place. I personally wouldn't drop Saylor for the new boy, especially when we're still in real relegation trouble but the threat is there...
Open ControlsSimilar situation here. Keeping Enrique now and selling Davies. Can only afford Santon instead of Debuchy. Worth it?
Open ControlsPersonally, I'm not investing in the Newcastle defence but I seem to be swimming against the tide. If I were to I'd go for Debuchy, failing that then Santon is the next best option.
Open Controls
Good shout there, I forgot the new guy.

how many of you think-
Liverpool striking options>>>>City striking options (this season only)Open ControlsEasily!
Open Controlsand you guys reckon it will stay that way for the rest of the season?
Open ControlsI think the "this season only" part is pretty important. Because we all know what Aguero is capable of and could be unleashed at any moment, he's potentially equal to or even greater than Suarez. And, when you consider the differential side of things he becomes quite appealing.
I do agree that Sturridge is a better pick than any of City's supporting strikers however.Open Controls

Open Controls
Ryan, you still about mate? Noticed the post on the last page about our conundrum. With Suarez, Sturridge, Enrique, Davies and Michu with 2FTs
I don't think making just one transfer it totally out of the question, especially if United and City have a blank in GW29 as it seriously reduces the sensible options available. This would also give you an extra transfer in GW29 and might only mean fielding 10 now and 11 in GW29, as opposed to 11 now and 10 in GW29... if you catch my drift.
Ideally I want to keep Suarez, Sturridge and Enrique, but if I want to field 11, at least one of the has to go.
I'm starting to consider a Norwich defender, despite having Bunn (I believe your in the same position). I don't think it's such a bad thing doubling up as my first keeper will play every game (except perhaps GW29 when Szczesney has a blank and, luckily, Norwich have a decent fixture).
Of course, Wilson would also be a good option but if we don't have anything encouraging by the deadline, I might do Davies > a Norwich defender.
Whether I do Enrique > Evans probably depends on whether we have news on United's GW29 fixture.
Of course, I may end up selling Suarez after all, but I don't think Cisse, Lambert or any of the other options quite match his potential, despite him having one less game before the end of the season.Open ControlsSorry but that sounds quite stupid to me. So shoot yourself in the foot now and focus on GW29?
Focus on the present, get out 11 players this week, and sort out GW29 when news is released on it/ when it comes around.
My two cents. Its only logical.Open Controls"Ridicule is the tribute paid to the genius by the mediocrities."
But seriously, IF we have a confirmed blank in GW29 for United, City, Arsenal, Everton and Chelsea, it seems silly selling a player who is a good pick for either (a) a player who also has a blank coming up or (b) a substandard option who will probably get 2 points in GW27 and be outscored by the player you sold him for over the course of the next 6 games.
Not saying we're there yet, just an idea.Open ControlsRule #1 of FPL: Field 11 every week possible. This week Ryan can field 11 for free, its a win - win (some are even taking hits to field 11!). He also isn't required to purchase someone involved in the GW29 blank.
No brainerOpen ControlsI'm not sure it's a no-brainer with another huge potential set of blanks 2 GWs down the line but it certainly seems the smart move on balance.
I'm just not ready to wave goodbye to a certain buck-toothed striker ๐Open Controls
Whats better in your opinion then going forward for the next while. Doubling up on Liverpool strikers and have 10 starters this week. Or getting the likes of Cisse/Lambert, having more diversity and cash to spend elsewhere and having 11 this week.
Open Controls
There really is nothing wrong with picking up a Norwich defender as you probably wouldn't play the Norwich defender every game either.
I'm gonna have to agree with Acqua in the sense that playing 1 transfer is strategically inferior to playing 2, since he has 2 freebies. He could always do nothing pre-GW28 for another 2FTs come GW29 when there's more news.Open ControlsWe're in the same boat and I'm just hesitant to sell good fantasy options who could outscore the replacements over the next 6 despite playing one less game. See what I mean?
Yes, you could save your GW28 transfer, but we will know about the blank then anyway so we could plan ahead.
Not saying I'm going to do it though.Open ControlsI see the logic. I'm having the same problems (got the same DGWers except GJ over Enrique), and I'm thinking maybe GJ & Michu has to go for Wilson & Bale.
Open ControlsIn your case, Michu > Bale is an actual improvement so I'd consider doing that.
I'd be wary of putting too much money into your attack though and being thread-bare at the back. That's not necassary with the likes of Lambert, Sturridge and Michu available.Open Controls
Yea of course. Long term is definitely prioritised, just that I would like to point out that if Ryan's in the position to get long term replacements for his current DGW players anyway (a norwich def with good rotation could possibly outscore Enrique over the next 6)
I don't know about your dilemma Tinkerman and I hope it is the same as Ryan's. However in times of uncertainty, I would like to suggest having liquidity and certain starters rather than value asset players that wouldn't play. Just my opinion.Open ControlsThanks for the input, much appreciated.
In my case, Norwich defenders don't rotate so well. Granted, I get an average fixture this week (EVE) and a good one in GW29, but the rest of the rotation is horrible and means I'd rely on Onouha to get me points in average games.Open ControlsNo problem man. I guessif you're rotating a Norwich def with Onuoha you'll suffer a bit. Would you consider 3 team rotation? I'm on a Sou/Nor/Sto one at the moment...
Open ControlsI have Harte and Onu so Wilson works well. Cuellar isn't bad either but he's not nailed on.
Open Controls
Cheers for your thoughts. I believe I can be in a position to have 11 starters for this week and GW29 so will endeavor to plan for that. Safe picks from two of Stoke, Norwich, Southampton or Newcastle for instance can provide me with that outcome.
Wilson is a conundrum but if Pulis gives us the green light I might do the same transfers you're planning on making. They do make the most sense (although I do have that Baines feeling at the moment). I also see your point on a Norwich defender as I too will invest in a keeper who I expect to play every game (DDG). It seems like it will come down to the Stoke presserOpen ControlsJust realised I could do Suarez & Davies -> Lambert & Baines ๐ฏ All possibilities still exist.
Open ControlsIf I do sell Suarez, the money will go on upgrading Fellaini/Puncheon.
Davies > Wilson & Suarez > Lambert would probably be the moves I'd do.Open ControlsAfter Everton win tomorrow you'll scrap that awful Baines idea.
Don't see how you're tempted by a 7.6 defender and not AGUEROOOOOOOO!Open Controls

Open ControlsWell I def wouldn`t this GW - hopefully you`ll pick the best one out of RVP Wally Bale this gw and your rival doesn`t , just claw a little back now coz otherwise in a couple of gw`s you`d probably be looking at a 100 point gap !

Loved the man marking on Messi by Ambrosini. I wonder why these techniques is not used more often. Lately have had great results for other clubs too, like Phil Jones on Fellaini.
Open ControlsHe didn't man mark him. He was just always the first to close him down, followed by 1 or 2 other players, forcing him to give the ball to another player.
Good tactics.Open Controls
I had a dream last night that Brek Shea scored with a header against Fulham. Get him in now, thank me later.

This GW is where new teams are emerging. This Suarez out decision was probably the biggest decision i made this season after kicking out Santi and Tevez out (both in good form) for Theo and Suarez for a hit early in the season. Tevez got his biggest haul next week and i missed out on Santi's hat-trick but it has served me well in general i reckon. Interesting few weeks we have ahead of us.
Open ControlsStill playing with the idea of keeping both Suarez and Sturridge...
Open ControlsI am sticking with Suarez.. *fingers crossed*
Open ControlsWe can always get Suarez back if Kun fails to fire. That's the beauty of it.
Open Controlswill lose a lot of money, waste transfers before those possible blanks
Open ControlsThis.
Assuming he does well, by the time you can get him back, a lot of the damage will be done and everyone else will be making the same move.Open Controls
It'll be a Bale kinda situation. The moment you don't have either, one will go crazy.
Open Controls
I have the massive decision after this GW -- to bring in Aguero or Suarez for Pod.
All will depend on how Aguero performs vs Chelsea... he has 1 game to impress me!Open Controlstime of the season when MLs will be won and lost and ranks will be determined by those "emerging teams".
Open ControlsI still keep both Suarez & Sturridge.
I dont think Aguero will do much damage this week vs Chelsea, and after that Suarez is better value than Aguero, Liv fixtures are better and even City could have blank Gw 29
Sturridge is great value tooOpen ControlsSuarez over Aguero from gw 28 onwards is a no brainer for me. end of story.
Open Controls
So true, this is season defining. I fear GW29 more than anything though, and the subsequent DGWs as i don't have a WC.
Open Controls
This game week there will be a goal of the season contender, I promise you .
Open Controls5 days until we find out whether Arsenal Everton goes ahead. Is there a vague date telling us when the United game is rescheduled?
Open ControlsBasically thinking of doing Cisse(c)!
80 points behind my rival i reckon a good week to do it with not many other options around.
Am i mental?Open Controlswhat if the 4th CL spot was given to the FA cup winners instead of the 4th team in the league? thoughts?
Open ControlsWhat would happen when (as is frequently the case) the FA Cup winner was already in the top 3? Would you give the runner up the CL spot? Millwall in the Champions League would have been hilarious! ๐
Open Controlseither you give the runner up the CL spot or you give the 4th place team in the league the CL spot.
with a CL spot at stake i doubt millwall would make it to the finals. the majority of the EPL teams would be trying to reach the final as that is a very big incentive. would make the cup a lot more interestingOpen ControlsWould definately make the FA Cup a lot more important/special than it already is .
Open Controls
Off to bed.
Night lads.
For fantasy sake I hope Chelsea + Liverpool are knocked out of Europa tomorrow ๐Open ControlsEither of these transfers worth a hit to field 10 (ex. Demel and Guthrie)?
A. Davies > evans
B. Guthrie > maloneyOpen ControlsI wonder if Mark got any better. I'm not expecting a scoutcast tonight.
Open ControlsSo there are possible blank for Everton, Arsenal, Mancit, Manutd, Chelsea, WIgan, Westham and Fulham on week 29?? !!!!
Open ControlsI need the United blank cancelled really ๐
Open Controls
Hello my lovelies... Tell me, would you rather put these 10 out and hope for the best:
Federici (Begovic)
Evans Martin Demel (Johnson) (Davies)
Mata Walcott Bale Puncheon (Michu)
RVP Benteke (Sturridge)
Or take a 4 point hit to do Davies->Santon/Debuchy?Open ControlsThe 4 point hit is a long term move. Do it.
Yes, southampton can very easily score but it also saves you a transfer you don't have to do later.Open ControlsI would say stick Jonny, but then I'm struggling with 'never take a hit for a defender' this GW. As it stands, I'm due to field Collins and Demel, so there's potential for only 9 players. I could make a similar transfer to you Jonny, which could then help me through GW29 as well. Worth doing it in that instance?
Open Controls
If you take a hit to replace someone with a blank GW, you only lose 2 points so it's not THAT bad. Just pick someone with good upside. Johnson to Walker/Dawson perhaps? Or would Clyne get your attention?
Open ControlsNot really feeling Clyne, don't see many clean sheets there. I think maybe Newcastle can tighten up a bit over the next few and the fullbacks can hopefully pick up some assists too. Would get Azpi or Zaba in for Johnson if they weren't playing each other this week.
