The Weekend Team News

Seamus Coleman is back for Everton. The injuries build up for Newcastle ahead of tomorrow’s trip to the Bridge. Victor Wanyama and Calum Chambers will be assessed before Southampton’s clash with Stoke, who have a couple of midfield concerns to fret over. James Morrison is back for the Baggies. Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger edge towards a return for Liverpool, whilst Ron Vlaar remains a doubt for Villa’s clash with the Hammers:

Earlier this morning, Roberto Martinez confirmedSeamus Coleman “has come through training really well” ahead of Sunday’s trip to Tottenham. Antolin Alcaraz remains out for the Toffees, whilst Romelu Lukaku is set to miss the next couple of weekends. The Everton manager revealed Ross Barkley has been playing through the pain barrier after sustaining a broken toe but expects the youngster to be fully fit and went on to say he will ”need to check” on Lacina Traore, who is no “fully fit from a medical point of view”.

Newcastle United have revealed that midfielder Cheick Tiote will miss the Magpies’ next two fixtures at least, after he picked up a hamstring injury during the week. Papiss Cisse remains a doubt with a back injury, whilst Alan Pardew has confirmed that Yoan Gouffran is “unlikely” to return this weekend. Elsewhere, captain Fabricio Coloccini is expected to be out for another three weeks.

Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that Victor Wanyama and Calum Chambers came off against Fulham with a knock and dead leg respectively. The pair are back in training, though, and set to be assessed ahead of the Stoke clash. Injury absentees Dejan Lovren and Gaston Ramirez have returned to light training, with Pochettino suggesting that the duo will be back in action “sooner than expected.”

James Morrison is available for West Brom’s clash with Palace this weekend after recovering from the calf problem which led to his absence in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool. Nicolas Anelka, Jonas Olsson and Stephane Sessegnon have all been ruled out however, with Pepe Mel confirming that defender Craig Dawson will be thrust into the starting XI to face the Eagles.

Brendan Rodgers has suggested that defenders Daniel Agger and Glen Johnson could both return to training next week following calf and ankle/groin problems. The Liverpool boss was less optimistic on Mamadou Sakho, though, revealing that the summer signing is “still out for a little bit.”

Norwich centre-back Ryan Bennett (thigh) has emerged as a doubt for the weekend, with Hughton declaring that it will be “touch and go” as to whether the defender features. Hughton also delivered positive news on the fitness of Michael Turner (hamstring) and Jonny Howson (back), revealing that, despite not being available this weekend, the duo have made good progress in recent days.

Marko Arnautovic and Jon Walters are both concerns for Stoke after limping out of last weekend’s victory over Man United. Mark Hughes remains hopeful that the pair will be available for the trip to Southampton, though. Long-term absentees Matthew Etherington and Andy Wilkinson are back in training for the Potters but Robert Huth is still a couple of weeks away from a return.

Aston Villa have mixed injury news ahead of the visit of West Ham this weekend. Skipper Ron Vlaar remains a doubt with the hamstring problem that forced him off at Goodison Park last week, though there is good news on Gabby Agbonlahor, with Paul Lambert optimistic on the forward’s chances of featuring, revealing that he “looks pretty good at the minute.”

Agree with that, Ward over Chambers. If you looking to make a move, Kosc to Cahill or Fonte might be a good idea with Arsenal's upcoming schedule.

Upgrade Giroud or Dzeko to Sturridge by selling Evans (and get a cheapy defender). Yes, this requires a hit.

Having a tough time calling whether to play Kolarov (nor) or Vlaar (WHU).
RMT has Vlaar down as more points at 2.67, cf Kolarov at 2.36.
Vlaar has a hamstring problem, potentially ruling him out.
    But WHU without Andy Carroll.

    Thoughts?
