Sunday presents two further Premier League encounters with a variety of Fantasy heavy-hitters on show.

Events begin at Anfield, with Liverpool starting life without Luis Suarez with an encounter against a Southampton side ravaged by a summer exodus. It’s a fascinating scenario that’s set to feature an-all start case of assets, including Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling – players burdened by big Fantasy ownership and expectation. The Saints, meanwhile, arrive on Merseyside looking to gel quickly after a flurry of new arrivals under the guidance of new boss, Ronald Koeman.

The day concludes at St James’ Park, as Newcastle host champions City. Manuel Pellegrini will likely field a much-changed side to the XI that suffered a Community Shield reverse against Arsenal. Even so, Fantasy investment in the City ranks has been tempered, with Yaya Toure remaining the top target, finding his way into 20% of Fantasy Premier League squads. Like Southampton, Newcastle present us with an array of new signings to assess, making Sunday a vital opportunity to scout talent.

Fair enough he wasted his chances and there was that mix up with Kolarov, but he was no worse than Dzeko and co.

  The usual knee jerks. He ain't a bad player at all. Maybe not settled in this league yet, but there was a good reason he went to City for a decent transfer fee and was well followed by other clubs.

    But when I was talking about Dzeko I'm referring to his control of the ball and stuff which is so lacklustre for a City player.

    I've been watching but, I don't care what the narrative tells me.
    
    From a fantasy perspective I only really care about the volume of shots & key passes, because over the course of the entire year it means I've got a better chance to score fantasy points.
    
    As a result, Jovetić has had a very productive day.

    Obviously his accuracy should be better but, in the long term his conversion rate will even out.
    
    I mean Sturridge only managed 3 shots, 0 key passes 85% pa. (Only 1 SoT)
    
    So, comparatively speaking they've had similar weeks but, few bitched & moaned about Sturridge.
