Congrats guys. Well done. I had intended on telling my rivals of FFS this year to ensure a level playing field... But then we don't play for money just bragging rights.... I think it's still the regulars that will continue to prosper... We who were here last season didnt all have the same teams for a reason, we still apply our own logic/wisdom/luck to our selections.

for me i think it's all about community. there are reasons why living in a suburban housing development feels different than living in an urban apartment tower. nobody locks their doors in the suburbs, nobody opens their doors in the city (well, not without undoing no fewer than two locks).

i think people have the same feeling about ffs....it's been a "doors open" community. what with the expected influx of transients looking for the quick fpl points, people here are feeling like they've just been teleported into the big city.

as i said earlier, i think that a members' forum would be the quickest fix to this issue. my 144K finish last year has more to do with my general ability, i'm afraid, than it does with the information i got here, though that information certainly brought me up the rankings a fair margin. sort of a glass ceiling situation for me...

but i completely agree with those today who've said that the playing field ought to be level. my desire for a members' forum has a lot more to do with the intimate community i've come to love than any competitive advantage possibly gained.

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but my FPL homepage is looking weird. I can't see the table and there's an ad banner across the top of the page. Some sort of updating going on? Could be...

I think the sad thing is that all the checking pre-season fixtures/stats will probably but neatly summed up for "casual" players in Mark's first pundit-style column before gameweek 1. Making the effort some of us put in to trying to get an edge largely redundant.

That said it didn't help me last season as I got off to a crappy start anyway! 😀 Probably my worst season ever due to having Metro/Telegraph teams as well - this year back to concentrating on FPL!

With the new age coming, it would be good if peoples links were their fpl team or we had an indication it was not team linked. We could then choose to look or not.

I'm not a techie, but I'm sure it can be done.

FFS was always going to get bigger, yes casual players might read the pundit now and then but only the committed will be trawling this discussion board day and night. For me the increased competition won't be the biggest factor in my final ranking, it'll always be the drunken Friday nights which see silly hits and switching my captain from reliant robin to berbaflop...

Congrats guys, Great to see the web site moving forward. Not sure it will make that big a difference here. Most people dont have the time to spend on here reading everything. i get as much info from some of the post's as i do from the articles.

i continue to use the forum with no link, a couple of my main rivals sign up, link their teams and all of a sudden i know exactly what they're up to!

Nothing has really changed. If any regular FPL players were as obsessive as us, they'd be here already. In fact... they are!

How many people actually read the Pundit? A small minority I'm sure.

If you really care about your FPL performance, you'll dig around for more info. And if you Google:

premier league predicted lineups = FFS
(this is how I first found FFS)

premier league injuries = FFS 2nd
fantasy premier league tips = FFS 2nd
FPL tips = FFS 2nd

Plus even if you know about FFS, if you REALLY you still have devote untold time and attention to get the most out of it.

I'm just looking forward to getting the inside track on BPs and assists.

Massive well done to the team!

Been far from a regular poster in the 3 seasons since i found the site. (thank you cr7 for that handball in the derby and me trying to find out if he would be suspended for the Blackburn game or the carling cup game!) Mainly due to allways being on the go and using my phone is a nightmare for posting. But check the site 4 or 5 times a day, reading the comments. Was thinking that is any of the regulars tempted to not go for a scout role if it became available? Seem to disappear off the face of the boards when they get hired! Very rarely see da beezzz, greek fan, foch etc anymore! I know their putting in a power of work behind the scenes and its much appriciated!

My number 1 aspiration for this fantasy season is to wait until Friday to even consider making a transfer. How about you guys?
