The ScoutCast – Episode 58 – Holy Moses

This week’s episode of the FFS podcast features some classic match-ups – Nani vs Young, Narni vs Nanny, Tomayto vs Tomahto, Sessegnon v Row Z, Common Sense vs Mark.

All battles are resolved, with the regular stalwarts of the ScoutCast thrown in, culminating with Mark’s desperate defence of his seemingly unshakable faith in Victor Moses. Also, look out for a mention of my Champions League placing – England’s number one for 24 hours no less.

Grab the goodness here…

Did I mention I was England’s number one in the Champions League game? (edit – I see Mark has been busy editing my post)

I like it, VDV is second in the league for shots on goal. There is the problem that they may play him on the wing, but I doubt it. Just got him in today for Walcott as well to beat the price drop.

That explains why he ALWAYS used to take O'Shea (amongst others) off on 59mins - just to piss the rest of the managers off.

Maybe bamblington is actually SAF in a cunning disguise, teasing us ahead of the deadline...

Although many may disagree he is a little helpful and often will confirm 2 or 3 players who will definitely get a game.

That is counter balanced by the fact that no one loves springing a starting lineup surprise like Fergie.

Don't expect any help on the Rooney issue though.

Not really, he is Scottish. Scottish manager rarely give anything away, except Strachan, God bless him.

Moyes at Everton is the worst. Saha was presumed dead there for weeks until he turned up last week such was the lack of updates. McLeish again, remember the Zigic bandwagon last year. No mention of any injury, then he is ruled out and cue 3 weeks of non-commital 'Nikola is really close to a return' waffle. I suppose we deserved it though for buying Zigic but still..

plan to get Ramsey in during my WC. I think any other Arsenal options are over-priced to be honest, even RVP. Want to keep Suarez for Liverpools upcoming fixtures rather than try and fit RVP in. No other MU coverage aside from Rooney, hence why I am so keen to get Nani in or for Sir Alex to give me a bell at lunchtime tomorrow to say Rooney is fit and will play 90 mins....

Aguero and Nani (with Rooney out) seem to the must have players this week. Walcott and Rooney are both injury doubts.

Banking on Simpson to keep his place. Think Santon can play either side, but has been playing leftback. And Simpson's been first choice rightback for some time, including last season when Taylor was fit but Simpson was keeping him out (while Enrique was at LB).

Cant decide whether to remove sessegrom for a four point hit or just wait till next week

Advantage of doing it now are

    1) it gets someone useful in for this week
    2) improves team quicker
    3) avoids losing money
4 may make wildcard next week less b]nescessary

    Disadvantages are

    1) loses 4 points
    2) will have more information next week regarding best replacement
    3) if i wildcard next week then spending 4 now is silly

    Thoughts?

To all those debating the Rooney conundrum....

Yes he might play, but he may also get no goals,
he may reagrivate the injury after 10 minutes,
    he could get sent off.
    He may score 1 only
He may go and shag an old lady

Basically I love the way everyone assumes that if he plays hexwill get a hat trick!
    There are other options!

      u must really be stupid.
the probability of everything u say is much lesser than him coming out the match with a big load of points if he plays.

      P.S. i dont own rooney.

    Given (Vorm)
Cole, Brown, R Johnson (Shawcross, R Taylor)
    Silva, Cabaye, Anderson, Nani(c) (Moses)
    Agbonlahor(v), Suarez, Rooney.

    Settled.

Will rely on bench points if Rooney's out, fancy Utd to score 3 or 4 vs Norwich. Cole, Anderson & Taylor will go in the coming weeks if they don't perform - Santon returning as well.

Moses will rot on my bench like Tevez.
