The Big Numbers – Gameweek 10

Another unplayable performance from Marouane Fellaini, ably supported by a string of outstanding Everton displays, lights up this weekend’s Big Numbers analysis, while the likes of Pablo Hernandez, Christian Benteke, Nicky Shorey, Robin Van Persie and Luis Suarez crash the party. Here’s our choice of the key statistics on show in the Gameweek so far…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Pienaar to Fellaini is nothing but chasing the latest points. Both are good shouts and I wouldn't make that kind of a transfer unless the rest of my team was set up perfectly.

Scout picks were pretty miserable this week (as they are most weeks)
Just shows this game is about patience more than luck I think

Anyway, heres hoping Morrison does the business tomorrow.

To all those who stuck with their assets through the rough patches (ala Cazorla, Fellaini, Suarez, Evra) congrats on not knee jerking like me, I took Cazorla, Fellaini and Suarez out in the last 4 weeks, ouch!

Alright lads, hows everyone doing tonight?

Gonna have trouble deciding who to bench next week I reckon, considering I messed up my bench pretty badly this week anyway...

Walters (QPR), Santi (FUL), Hazard (LIV), Michu (sot), Maloney (WBA)
Berba (ars), Jelly (SUN), RVP (avl)

    Any thoughts guys???

Colo out means Saylor is nailed on for two home games...foolish to sell now imo. I'd say get Fellaini if you're in the mood Demi...hard to advise anything further than that...I just got rid of Fletch for Berb but obviously you have Berb so maybe you could look at a cheaper striker for a few games...whoever has the most favourable fixtures.

tbh...I don't know if it is...Colo is over-rated. He looked rubbish today! Might be a little harsh...but anyway...I still think it's a bad idea to get rid of him with two home games where he's guaranteed to play and will get one or two CS most likely.

It's to do with my team's circumstances...if I didn't get Fellaini now I think I'd probably never be able to afford him down the line without tweaks...I felt I could deal with the ban too.

I beleive he hit Clattenburg twice in the dressing room after going in there uninvited.
Clattenburg is sueing Chelsea and Mikel.
G.Cahill refused to back up Mata's claims of racism as he didn't think they were true.

best way to get a united striker?

    a) ba + kolorov > rooney + nelsen
    b) ba + kolorov + hba > rvp + nelsen + ramirez
    c) ba + bale > rvp + ramirez
    d) lambert + hba + kolorov > rooney + sterling + nelsen
    e) berb + hba + kolorov > rvp + sterling + nelsen

and i've only got 1 ft so should i wait a week to save 4pts?

RVP over Rooney, hold on a week see how ramirez does, Ba may play... then e) in my opinion. Bale is too good for me to get rid, Ba is enough Newcastle cover if fit and Kolorov needs to go anyway.

I take it you can't afford Ramirez, Nelson, RVP and keep Ba......

Maybe C is your best bet. It would be a shame to lose all your Newcastle for these fixtures.

nope... if i get nelsen and rvp in for kolorov and berb that leaves me 5.2 for a mf. though i could bring in ramirez for michu the week after... what do you think about that?

assuming ba is fit, d and e would only involve shipping hba so i'd keep hold of ba and give me a strike force of either rvp, ba, lambert or rooney, ba, berb

sounds like a pretty good idea. thanks mate. just afraid rvp and/or rooney will tear it up this week vs villa and i'll fall further behind.

if i didn't ship kolorov in these transfers i'd dowgrade him the week after to allow me to upgrade one of my other forwards. really want to get suarez in a few weeks but not sure if i can afford him or not...

Hmm, personally I think that maybe A would be best given the lack of transfers. Although RVP is much safer than Rooney, given you had Kolarov to begin with though that shouldn't be a problem 😉

    Hi all,

I'm wondering how important people think Michu is these days? He's obviously attractive as an OOP striker and his recent returns have been ok considering his price - but upcoming fixtures are not great.

He's holding my fourth midfielder slot at the moment (behind Mata, Cazorla, Bale). I generally try to avoid kneejerking - but the switch to Fellaini is tempting.

    Comments / thoughts appreciated...

Jerk it out. Depends how much you'd lose on getting him back when fixtures/form improve, but Fellaini is looking the bees knees.

They both basically play a very advanced role for their respective teams. Everton's fixtures are better than Swansea's. Everton are also better than Swansea. Do the transfer. Don't let people put you off regarding Fellaini's 4 YCs.

No chance. Bale's stats are very impressive. His returns have been very good already this season despite Tottenham not doing overly well as a team. Arguably he's a better player away from home - so the next two fixtures dont worry me.

Thanks all. I'd be selling Michu for a profit - but I'm not overly concerned about the ablity to buy him back again. For a while I thought that he might be a 'season-keeper' but there are other options around about the same price who are providing similar returns - so I'm coming around to thinking that it might be better to rotate players in and out based on fixtures.

My fifth midfielder is Maloney - who I'm happy with.

      Ta again.

    B) Jela – Suarez (Even though i hate him)

    C) Lescott – Rafa

Down to last 6 in a last man standing, looking at a 600 euro pot if I can get through.

Next week my choices are either

    Stoke at home to QPR

Either side in Reading v Norwich.

    Any suggestions are very welcome.
