The Big Numbers – Gameweek 22

West Brom’s Romelu Lukaku heads up our ICT Index rankings after a weekend of football, with Wigan’s Franco Di Santo an unlikely name to keep Robin Van Persie company in our top three. Our members can investigate these standings in full, digesting all the data from the weekend’s action. Big Numbers makes a return to pick out our take on the key statistics on show, together with an array of trends that have emerged over the past four Gameweeks…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I thought Sagna had a good game today. I got him in a couple of weeks ago purely on price and lots on here prefer Gibbs.
Might keep him on my WC, potential bargain if Arsenal can get a few cleanies.

On a WC. A few questions here gentlemen. Cheers in advance!

    1) Bale > Cazorla. Yes or No (Will have Walcott and Gibbs)

    2) Bale or Silva after the DGW?

    3) Which one of Mariappa/Pearce/Harte from RDG?

The Chelsea DGW gave us so much options that next weeks dgwers kinda pale in comparison. Although carzola is like an explosive. Ticks away doing nothing for 3 or 4 game weeks then BOOM!

Keep Clyne and Davies, get in a QPR boy and either Reading or West Ham

If Ba gets to start most games, he could be explosive in returns. I think it well be to-and-fro between him and Torres for starts until Rafa finally realises Torres is not the same player he managed at Liverpool and play Ba most of the times because he needs to win matches.

Katie, nice one in your Swansea predictions when I asked about benching michu. They all came true: Swansea didn't score (so I wasn't punished by taking the risk of benching michu), they played for a 0-0, they started Rangel at right midfield........ the kicker is that they actually kept the CS and I got punished for benching Davies 😆 😆

So, do you reckon Swans' tight defending will continue? Should I be cautious about owning michu for now if it's true they're focusing on the cups?

Yes I know his pros, otherwise I wouldn't have any doubt in my mind. But person is question a Swans fan with some good knowledge of their club, as seen from the predictions above (based on what Laudrup said to local media). No one wants to avoid michu because they inexplicably dislike him, just trying to stay one step ahead - which is what michu owners were when they had him early.

Ironically if he were starting away I would be even more sure of starting him because Swansea away defending has been absolutely superb. But home to stoke is a bit of a gimme. You would need some seriously special third defender not to start him for that.

    Jaask
    Clichy, O'Brien, Luiz, Gibbs (Clyne)
    Mata, Walcott, Nolan, Bale, Sterling
    RVP (Berba, Benteke)

0 FT's, would you change the line up, maybe take a -4 to get a decent 1 week punt striker out there (will be wildcarding next week)

    dear all,

so far had some top replies re wether i should wildcard- 2-1 for yes but still genuinly have no real idea- know that walcott price is rising and I do have my other wildcard left. However one of you make the astute point tht can have time to see how sturridge affects suarez on the ba situation. Anybody else got any helpeful constructive advice on what they might do if faced with my predicament?

but picking a 2nd striker to make it happen is a ball ache. Sturridge has put a big ❓ over Suarez, Aguero is too expensive, Tevez and Ba are rotation risks. Right now I'm looking at Cisse/Remy, Fletcher or Lambert

Reading comments that Sagna had a good game today.
He was by far the worst player on the pitch imo, he made about 7/8 of Cazorla's passes look misplaced as he was not anticipating/looking for the pass.
There was several opportunities for him to get in behind and he looked too gassed/disinterested to show for the pass.
I'd chuck him out the door if I was Wenger (Unless he is carrying an injury we don't know about).
As an fpl prospect - DGW or not, I'd rather saw off my balls with a rusty breadknife.

Probably the latter! did you not notice the amount of times he got it out wide and had to stretch to receive the pass or the amount of times he was bypassed in the build up in the last 20 mins. He looks spent to me, maybe he is just unfit but there's defo something not right, I reckon he just wants out.

I thought Gibbs was outstanding today, defensively. The stole / intercepted a lot of ball, his positioning was great. He is a great prospect. Playing with 10 men limited his chances to bomb forward.

But yes, I agree, Sagna was borderline atrocious. He is in really poor form.

Great run of green arrows you got there.

I'd swap Bale. Rafael may be torn up by Bale but the rest of Utd's defence is looking pretty strong. Arsenal may or may not turn up, so for that reason I'd go for Mata.
