Rush. The best form of goalkeepers for the playground. A long-haired Canadian prog-rock outfit. A mustachioed goal sniffer and, sadly, a description of how Granville and myself had to approach this latest episode of the podcast.

With our studio slot limited, we had to skinny things up and turn this one out double-time. Nonetheless, in 26-minutes, we touched on all the regulars, whilst scattering the silence in between with the usual sniping between the pair of us. It makes you wonder what we waste the other twenty minutes on every week.

    I am 50 points behind my rival who is in 1st place.

    He has Gibbs, Pod, Walcott.

    I have Walcott.

    Should I

    A. Get Gibbs, and Pod. Play it Safe
    B. Get Caz and Giroud and hope they will explode and catch up?

      I wouldn't worry about your rival at this point. Get the players who you think will score the best. For me, that would be Gibbs and Cazorla. But if you think Giroud or Podolski is better than either one, get him...

    OMG WTH LOOK!!!!

    is it crazy to keep clyne, puncheon and lambert? i dont mind keeping clyne as my 5th defender, puncheon as my 5th mid, and lambert is playing and scoring very well. i wont drop any of them if i dont have to, but having 3 southampton players in my team just feels so wrong!!

    Already made one move for week, bringing in Walcott for Bale. What say those around tonight about taking a four pointer to move Lambert out for Lukaku. Despite my grav, I really don't think Everton will keep Southampton off the score sheet, but it's just that Villa suck so badly, I can just envision Lukaku feasting.

      It's a gamble. Lukaku could be rested if Long is back (I don't think it's likely, but I don't understand why Lukaku hasn't been starting all year) and there's no doubt his upside is higher than Lambert. I don't think it's worth 4 points personally. I'm terrified of leaving Lambert on the bench this week.

    Sad though it is, think the risk of snow leading to games being called off is such that I am going to have to ignore the price rises over the next couple of days and wait until the last possible minute before making transfers. Not beyond realms of possibility for couple of games to be called off - could change everything

      It would surprise me if we didn't have a full programme. The lower leagues will be affected but the Premier League clubs have very good facilities in place to allow the games to go ahead - the only issue seems to be when they're not given full warning and are caught unprepared.

          Very rarely the transport - the recent postponements (last few years) that weren't due to teams like Blackpool/Fulham that didn't have under soil heating were all due to unsafe conditions for the spectators - like the area immediately surrounding the stadium or the gangways in the stands being too icy.

      I think Mata delivers more over remainder. More integral to their play. If you have both, would keep, but I wouldn't chase Hazard just to add him to Mata

          can you not just filter by attributes then scroll down till you hit the value you want. Am not sure that you can filter by value on FM.

            Cant filter by value, and I am trying to find bargains. Barnet have sod all money but I am in the prem now, so my average squad wont do.

          Maybe go for a short term loan move with a view to a permanent deal, or offer the money you have now alongside monthly/ 3-monthly add-ons which you can pay off later.
