The Sun Dream Team – Scout League Launched with £1000 Prize

The Sun Dream Team is now open for registration and Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce an official league, with The Sun offering a huge £1,000 prize to our winner.

Having had a few weeks to tinker with your starting XI, the serious business starts here. You can register your saved team, put together further lineups and create and enter leagues for the new season.

Select a free team and you can compete for £80,000 in prize money, but if you back yourself by opting for a Premium Package (two teams for £10 or six teams for £25), you’ll have more chances to win and be in the mix to win the full £500,000, whilst also earning the right to compete for the monthly game prizes, which make up £80,000 of the overall prize pot.

Joining and Creating Leagues

You can join or create up to ten leagues with any of your teams and set up your own leagues as you wish. The Sun Dream Team game offers real incentive to get involved – there’s a new Chairman’s prize pool of £10,000 available for those who manage to recruit ten or more managers to their league.

If you’re looking to join an ready-made league, you can challenge the likes of Ian Wright and Terry Venables with Dream Team allowing you to take on an array of celebrity managers.

The Scout League

You should also enroll in the official Fantasy Football Scout League, with Dream Team very kindly offering a £1,000 prize pot to the winner.

Once you register and create your team or teams, simply use the following PIN and password to enter.

League Name: Fantasy Football Scout
Password: ReWOZhn1T1
PIN: 8061654

You’ll find these details on the middle column of the homepage from this point on.

Ur attack is way to weak. All three are ~8, so what will u do when u want to transfer Aguero, Rvp or Suarez in, go -?

Dont fancy Mirallas that much under Martinez.

Boruc? what will u do gw3 when hes not playing, davies also wont play...

      imo, 5.8/10

I quite like it as a 3-5-2. Plenty of decent replacement options for Benteke and Lukaku (Soldado, Sturidge, Giroud etc). Only fly in the ointment for me is Dawson - Coleman or Toure are better picks imo

    RMT Draft please 🙂

    Boruc*, Lewis

    Toure, Collins, Shaw, Brayford, Parr

    Michu*, Hazard, Walcott, Mata*, Thomas

    Lukaku, Benteke, Soldado

*Is there a doubt over Boruc? Davis seems very popular for 4m keeper...

*Conflicted over Michu or Silva or Coutinho. Michu most proven imo as goal scorer, but fixtures are stiff.

*I currently plan on keeping Mata & Hazard after the DGW.

the thing that rvp has over soldado & a lot of the other strikers people are talking about is that you know what you're getting, there's no question marks & it's easier to downgrade once you've had a chance to assess players you're not sure about like soldado who might not even start the first few games due to fitness or bony or sturridge & his fitness or aspas etc etc

      Cech

      Cole, Toure, Collins

      Hazard, Coutinho, Wallcott, Mirallas

      Soldado, Dzeko, Hooper

      Subs

      Boruc, Coleman, Wanyama, £4m def

Cech will be downgraded (probably to Mannone) after week 1
Dzeko short term option due to fixtures and Aguero doubts.

I have a front line of Sturridge/Giroud/Dzeko with Oscar as my third Chelsea player.

Would I be better off fitting Lukaku in for one of these three and getting in Coutinho/Michu in Oscar's place?

Yeah, really difficult to predict who will score the most points.
If I miss out on a big points haul from Dzeko I really don't want to have to transfer him in as he is definitely not a season keeper but could score big the first few games. Also either of Michu or Coutinho could drop in value incredibly quickly if they have a couple of blanks.
Just a bit worried about missing out on Chelsea's main striker with two home fixtures against two defensively poor teams.

Just an observation on Citeh's defence, which some folk on here seem to be assuming as being safe bets for CS's. From what I've observed in pre-season they've been leaking quite a few, so I for one and far from convinced about them being watertight at the back. With the exception of Chelsea (DGW) I am avoiding any defenders from any of the other top 6 teams with new managers.

    One final thought:

IMO you should try to get explosive players early on as they are more likely to rise in value as casuals knee-jerk on big returns. So when presented with a choice, Silva or Michu for example, go the explosive player. Silva is unlikely to get a haul, just steady assists, Michu can explode against anyone.

    Giggs out.

    SOLDADO

    some thoughts:

1.spurs have not been bright in the pre season
    2. spurs will be weakened when/if bale leaves
    3. soldado has not trained yet so he lacks fitness and match fitness and will probably take him some time to get both
    4. soldado's attacking providers, chadli and lennon, the former is completely unknown and unproven while the latter is below par and injury prone

dont all of the above make sense NOT to get soldado until we see spurs later on in the season how they perform?

Soldado has an undeniably good goal ratio, he is strong, relatively quick, possesses decent acceleration and times his runs very very well. He is very good at finding space.

However, he is not outstanding in the air (although capable).

Are you considering Chadli and Lennon to be wingers, therefore supplying crosses? If so (and considering Chadli is versatile and can play behind the striker anyway) then its worth bearing in mind that Soldado is used to receiving the ball along the ground. Spurs possess plenty of talent in the middle of the park, all of whom are capable of playing excellent passes and through balls. Soldado has arrived at a team where there should be no shortage of supply, from the wings or otherwise - just take a look at Vertonghen.

What is crucial however is how quickly he gets used to his new team mates. That will make all the difference. Undoubtedly an 'easy' opening fixture is the perfect way for a new striker to gain that all-important confidence in front of goal.

I must state that I will not bring him in, easy fixture or otherwise, and will wait for him to settle. He is still an unproven striker whose style I feel requires him to gel with team mates rather than make an instant impact, and at 9.5 million, there are better options at that price

Let's just say that Aguero is fit for GW1 and Rooney leaves, making Kagawa a very attractive option.

I like this more than anything else I've made this week:

    Mignolet
    Turner • Coleman • Collins
    Oscar • Hazard (c) • Kagawa • Coutinho (vc)
    Lukaku • Sturridge • Aguero

    Lewis • Kim • Shaw • Brayford

Kim helps me keep Lukaku through GW3

Back to the drawing board, I guess.

          Dezko -> Sturridge
          Anelka -> Benteke
          Bale -> Paulinho

I played it on the last GW of the season and won about £10. Seemed quite an easy little earner, would probably play it again if it's about this year.
