No thrills. Few spills. Just two men in a room talking about Fantasy Football.

Granville and I handed Jonty and the “Professor” an extended pre-season and rolled the ScoutCast back to its rawest form. Just myself and the Mancunian sharing our thoughts after a summer break and looking forward to another Fantasy campaign.

We talk double Gameweek assets, I roll out the van Persie duvet, Granville reveals more than he should about his team lineup and, around all that, we assess the early bandwagons and preview the weekend fixtures.

Forty-five minutes of two blokes talking about the stuff that’s rattling around in most of our heads right now.

    Why are 3 Chelsea players a risk for GW3?

    Two FTs gets out two of the DGWers for the bandwagons going at the time, and then bench the defender. No problem. You have 8 playing attacking players for GW3, no hits, and the bandwagons are on board.

    Is Wilshire really gonna play in the hole? He's never been a big scorer in FF but is this the season he comes to life and scores mega? If you have him in instead of Walcott it frees up some cash...

    Are city defenders a bad idea? I see their first 3 fixtures and think they'll get easily 2 cleanies from first 3 games, but hardly any in RMT's.

    Theoretically, Lukaku is a 13m+ striker when he's on the pitch. He scored 159 points in 2005 minutes for a mid-table club last season while RVP racked up 262 in 3123 minutes for the champions.

    Now, even I'm not stupid enough to suggest that he would have accumulated the 247 points that the arithmetic suggests he would with similar minutes. However, there's a bloody significant enough margin for error there to suggest that this guy merits serious consideration to be the captain of choice this game week.

    I just cannot get my brain around this comparison:
    I'm going Gerrard over Coutinho!

    Gerrard will play deeper, but he'll make forward runs, is on Pens, is Stevie G after all....while Coutinho is not proven! I'm not as swayed by that performance by Coutinho at the end of last year.

    Someone convince me...otherwise I'm sticking with Gerrard. Cheers.
