The ScoutCast – Episode 110 – Cosmo

He’s well travelled. He’s multi-lingual. He’s just 19 points behind me. Despite my best start to a Fantasy Football season in living memory, Granville is right on my tail. In this latest episode of the ScoutCast, Granville takes delight in taunting me by wrapping his tongue around every “Pochettino” with ease, leaving me to struggle like Paul Merson with a mouth ulcer.

In between the mispronunciations, myself and the “cosmopolitan Manc” get heated about Robin Van Persie, rinse through the Gameweek 1 bandwagons, preview the weekend’s action and welcome the flying start made by this season’s ScoutCast team. It’s breathless stuff, squeezed into a low fat 40 minutes.

I feel a bit exposed at the moment being adrift from the FFS template team structure.

Not seen anyone else with RVP and Aguero!

Seems to be all mid-upper mid strikers like Soldado, Benteke, Sturridge, etc

Shameless repost I'm afraid. Does Koscielny + Anelka > Zabaleta + Chamakh make any sense at all? You can guess which one of Zaba/Chamakh I'm not sure about...

    If I went Chamakh I'd probably play 4-4-2, benching him and playing Garrido/Clyne.
    
    I admit though, I can't believe I'm considering Chamakh. But Kos and Anelka are both gonna fall in price surely?

Need help... I've done Lukaku to Lambert. Do I risk Ivan to Zab for -4? Everyone says never risk a -4 for a defender but Zab is a big goal threat. Can't see Ivan getting a clean sheet at Utd. Plus Zaba is rising tonight and I'll want Chelsea players out before their blank next week. Someone convince me otherwise...

The best laid schemes of mice and men...

This Anelka drama has buggered me right up. I've already taken a four point hit this week (Kos & No-luck-aku > Coleman & Dzeko) but now this little episode is forcing me involuntarily away from my master plan of bringing in RVP without cost in GW4 and towards an eight pointer in GW2!

If I've got to go the RVP-less kamikaze route, I definitely want Benteke as my third striker to accompany the aforementioned Dzeko & Soldado. However, would a good manager bring him in now with GW3 looming but more cost effectively, or wait till GW4 and go for a Giroud, Lambert or even Cisse till then?

we all know Yaya Toure is nailed on starter and a well points earner, but is he worth bringing in instead of Silva/Navas? ive had him in my teams since he started the prem...... and really tempted to bring him in this term,

highest passing rate in GW1 only made 2 mistakes, scored a goal, and is dangerous when he starts his runs.

Really dont understand why he is being overlooked by FF managers this season?

Instead of RMT.. If people asked a question, ie A or B, or whether X is more likely to start than Y for example, then it would be so much more beneficial to all and more likely to get a reply too... page after page of RMT's just get ignored as it get's busier

I just wasted my time writing this didn't I? Most people posting a RMT are really just after a hug and a public praising aren't they? 😉

  Very much reliant on what he does this week. If one of Sturridge, Soldado, Benteke, any City forward etc does well and he blanks then you'll see the transfers move in the other direction.

So far (only one week) all the talk seems to be about strikers in terms of possible transfers in and very little about the big midfielders. What are people's thoughts about the popular premium midfield choices now we have a little to go on? I.e.
