Gameweek 8 sees the launch of the latest team competition for the Fantasy Football Scout community organised by FFS UEFA. Following the success of last season’s ICC-themed cricket tournament, the group have created FFS Beach Soccer World Cup 2013, with 16 teams, each comprised of 11 players, competing for the crown.

Essentially, the scoring is based around the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.
Each team started scouting for players (ie, FPL managers) on Sunday, October 6 and the recruitment period will come to a close on Wednesday, October 16, with the roster of team players announced on Thursday, October 17.
The teams are led by a captain and vice-captain and guided by a manager, who decide which seven of their 11 players to field each week – depending on the perceived prospects of their FPL line-ups -and which four to bench. Their overall FPL scores for the Gameweek, with hits taken into account, will form the team’s score that week – by outscoring their opponents, they chalk up a win.
The first match in Gameweek 8 will be no more than a friendly before the main event gets underway the following weekend. This sees the 16 teams compete in four groups of four between Gameweek 9 and 11 – the top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stages, where sides square up in a head-to-head elimination process from Gameweek 12 until the final in Gameweek 15. Reporter 1: What about Spain?
Emir Heels: Spain have filed an illegal lineup with no captain or vice-captain playing. This is not possible. They will surely not be allowed to legally play.
Reporter 2: What if they show up at the match?
Emir Heels: This is fine. We could use some practice. We will treat it like a friendly.

Emir Heels: Of course it is wise. It is how our team play. Sheik Henry Hill and The Banana Sheikh have shown they are dynamic together leading the line. This week they will step up their level of play more with Team UAE's all time scoring leader, The Gravless Sheik Of Dreams, playing in behind them.
Reporter 3: In your lineup, you completely changed your entire defense this week. After Tahiti ran the score up on you, is bringing in new faces the right answer? Aren't you like Pellegrini reacting to the failures at Cardiff which only led to the failures at Aston Villa?
Emir Heels: This is not as it appears. Sheik Doctor X was making a house call last match and couldn't be there. Sheik Dogba aggravated his groin playing in the hole last match, and with Sheik Doctor X away, there was no one to attend to it. We need Sheik Doctor X in the team today for the health of the squad. Meanwhile, Sheik Snevitz has let himself go wild(card) in Tahiti, and we want to set him loose in central defense to apocalyptically mow down anyone attempting attack on our goal (http://tinyurl.com/k2s5nrr). Sheik Smith brings the savvy we were lacking at the back and also brings a physical element, a willingness to make tough challenges and take a hit when necessary.
Reporter 3: And what about goal? Sheik Captain Binij hasn't been seen for a few days.
Emir Heels: Yes. He is still in Papeari Prison (http://tinyurl.com/pcgol6s) as were myself and our top scorer until late Friday. We are working for his release, but Sheik VC Ellipsis will deputise in goal today.
Reporter 1: What were all of you jailed for? and how come The Gravless Sheik Of Dreams and yourself were released, while Sheik Binij is still in prison.
Emir Heels: I cannot discuss this.
Reporter 2: Is it true that the three of you got drunk after your loss to Tahiti and were arrested when caught tormenting Royal Mascot John Terry's Dog.
Emir Heels: That is a vicious slur. No truth to it.
Reporter 1: Was it due to racial tension over The Gravless Sheik Of Dreams lack of a grav?
Emir Heels: I truly cannot comment on this matter.
Reporter 3: I heard there was a connection between the arrest of the three of you and the United Arab Emirates attempt to purchase Tahiti as a holiday home for UAE's royalty and elite. Is this true?
Emir Heels: Gentlemen and ladies, thank you for questions. I must go now. I have not seen my second or third wives in several days.
