Suspensions

The Suspension Tightrope – Galling

A couple of Frenchman are set for a short stint on the sidelines after falling foul of the referee’s wrath over the weekend’s fixtures. Mathieu Debuchy and Mathieu Flamini received their fifth yellow cards of the campaign, meaning both are set to serve a one-match suspension in Gameweek 12:

Debuchy’s caution in Newcastle’s 1-0 win at White Hart Lane will force him out of the upcoming home game against Norwich as Alan Pardew’s side go in search of a third successive clean sheet. The right-back’s absence is a real blow to the Tyneside team – he has played every minute of the season so far, though the versatile Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa could deputise, allowing fit-again Fabricio Coloccini the chance to slot in alongside Mike Williamson in the heart of the backline.

Flamini has certainly show a flair for racking up the cards since returning to the Emirates this summer. The holding midfielder has received five cautions in just 511 minutes’ game time – his absence for the upcoming visit of Southampton should see Aaron Ramsey shift back into the double-pivot alongside Mikel Arteta, after the Welshman was moved to the right flank once again away to United yesterday.

The Suspension Tightrope welcomed a number of new faces in the Gameweek gone by. West Brom duo Jonas Olsson and Claudio Yacob, Hull’s defensive rock Curtis Davies, Fulham’s Scott Parker, Chelsea right-back Branislav Ivanovic and Norwich’s Michael Turner all climbed aboard on Saturday. Sunday’s matches saw Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, Spurs centre-half Michael Dawson, City’s Javi Garcia, United utility man Phil Jones, Stoke centre-half Robert Huth, Swansea pair Chico and Angel Rangel and Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko also earn their fourth bookings of the season.

Only four clubs – Liverpool, Cardiff, Palace and Southampton – are not represented in the updated widget on your sidebar, which now heaves under the weight of 23 players.

In terms of ongoing suspensions, Sunderland pair Andreas Dossena and Lee Cattermole will sit out the second of a three-match ban in the upcoming round of matches– both will be available for the Gameweek 14 visit of Chelsea. Swansea stopper Michel Vorm makes a return after serving a one-match ban in Sunday’s 3-3 draw with Stoke.

Basically, its my birthday today and as a present my gf wants to take me to an arsenal game. She has the flights booked but doesn't have a ticket (for southampton at home). Is there any chance of me getting a ticket now and if so what is the best way to go about it?

It'll be very difficult.. Game is sold out, once it sells out all you have is the ticket exchange where members put their tickets up if they can't go but due to how well we're doing at the moment there are a lot less popping up on there than last season. You'd need to be a member to get access to the ticket exchange so 2 x Arsenal memberships which are around £25 each just to have the chance to look on there.

Alternatively, if you've got Twitter you could keep an eye on something like @Arsenal_Tickets where people post spares but again difficult and even more so for a pair together.

            🙁

I have a friend who is a red member. Maybe i could get him to check the ticket exchange? Even that is unlikely though ya?

No hope at all? Ill be in London the day of the game now either way!

Migs owners, come GW16 when the fixtures turn what are you planning to do?

I was thinking about selling for Howard for an Everton double-up for that insane run. But I notice Howard doesn't get many saves so I was thinking of having Coleman and either Jags (BPs) or Baines (attacking points) and keeping Migs over GJ

Guess I'll worry about it nearer the time

Personally, I think CBs are BAPS magnets which is great.

So look for players who are strong contenders to collect the baps

wouldn't worry to much about rotation, imo your plans end up getting scuppered by injuries, change in form, bans etc.

the teams you have gone for may have nice fixtures but don't usually get cleanies

          Aresenal/WBA/WestHam(no reid)Norwich/Villa

We could well be wrong though.....

I agree but as this is unpredictable I want Citeh striker but not Aguero'
Have owned Negredo but in all games I have seen Dzeko stands out as the better player.

Maybe Pell. will mix it up a bit now especially with his dire away record.

Stoke had a Minileague last year, with Peter Crouch topping it.

Yes, but they were full of crappy Stoke players. If the renewed it, and invited Doosra, he'd win it

Why am I so tempted to press confirm on Silva-->Sess right now. I should wait until the internationals are over incase of injuries but I can't resist that confirm button jesus.

Can't see him being back. Even so, I think I'd rather have Sess. But yeah, absolutely no need to press confirm now, I just get such an urge haha

Rooney has two games for Enlgand (?),

    A game against Cardiff

    A tricky UCL away game

A cruicial league game away to Tottneham

Obviously won't start vs Cardiff. One pointer coming up
