Not often acclaimed for his sage-like wisdom, Granville is enjoying his season in the sun and is firing advice, sympathy and jibes my way, in equal measure. With little to lose, I’ve even resorted to taking his guidance on board. After spending points on transfers on the Mancunian’s recommendation, I’m looking on my squad with optimistic eyes, although Granville is far from convinced that I made the “greatest hits”.

After raining on my revival parade, Granville joins me to talk Suarez, Oscar vs Hazard and Jim Bowen before we roll out the podcast regulars – “All Aboard”, the weekend preview and the usual dalliance with the ScoutCast team.

      Yeah... good. Most defences this week have the same problem so dw bout that too much. Ive also considered hazard captain but too risky for me. His points so far have been pretty lucky.

      Great team and rank Hazzy, should do well even considering a hit. I think Terry will get a CS and Baps this GW.

      I think both Migs and Boruc will concede but Boruc will get more save points. Not saying you should change as it would be a double up but...

        Thanks ILB... I thought that also but really dont want to double up.. I think liverpool have a slight chance to get a cleansheet so going to stick with that. Captain choice is tough this week, possible I go for abit of a punty one but not quite sure yet. Currently on suarez. Who will you be captaining tgis week?

          If I had a MU striker it would be on them. As I don't it will either be Suarez or Kun. Not confident about either tbh. That is why I am still considering a hit fro Remy.

            yeah.. thats a tough call. lukaku looks like a good option for next week, so that would make it difficult. i keep changing from aguero to suarez then back to rooney. i still think they just as good options.

      Id play clyne over dawson.. not much in that though. And possibly whittingham over barkley only due to the fact that barkley will probs start on the bench. Rest looks good.

        really? It just goes against the reason of having a defender if you are expecting a clean sheet, because I want my 3 attackers/mids to score???

        but you are right, I think clyne has a better chance that dawson even if slight, ill change them up!

      I like the Bony punt. Seems to be the forgotten man and Swans have a good run of fixtures.

    ok me again 🙂

    as I said earlier im using my wildcard. I changed my 2nd gk from Speroni to McGregor as he is .1 cheaper and a better gk. so I have 2 questions.

    1- which gk to plat at weekend....Krul or McGregor?

    2- I have Coutino but I could swap him for Gerrard. Should I?

      I'd play McGregor fwiw. He'll be out to impress and Palace have less threat than Nor.

      Leave Coutinho as Studge may sit out some game time leaving him to move further up the pitch. Also Gerrard may be crocked.

      That looks fine to me. Evra and terry look good for tgis werk and baines always has that scoring potential. No problem there I think for this week and probably most weeks bar any injuries

          i wouldnt worry about the keepers. if you look at the majority of teams people post coming into this gw, i doubt you will see many are looking good for this gw.

    Reasons:
    I don't like my captain choices as it is.
    Lukaku (and Eve) have been woeful in attack for weeks now.
    Eve have a bad run of fixtures coming up from GW 14.
    I have G.Johnson starting.

    Reasons not to take a hit:
    Lukaku and Eve could miraculously turn their form around and score some goals.

      it really is a tough decision. I do not mind the suarez or aguero captaincy option to be honest. I do however feel Remy will outscore lukaku by 4. if it were me, i would probably take the hit.. I just dont want to tell you that and lukaku ends up bagging a brace! But i took lukaku out for a hit this week for rooney so you can see what i think.

        Haha... yeah well I would have done for Rooney but I couldn't afford it. Will look at him for GW14/15 if he is still in form.

        I guess the possibility of Lukaku getting a goal isn't too far fetched but after his poor games recently I've lost confidence in Everton attack.

        I just don't know.

      I don't trust Castle at all so I wouldn't. I mean would you put remi to score +4 more than Luka over the next 4 weeks or so cause that what you are planning on doing. All the prediction numbers I've see have Luka over Remi though he has looked decent over the last few weeks.

        To tell the truth I don't get to watch any games except MOTD highlights. From what I read on here though it doesn't sound like Lukaku is looking decent at all and Remy is on fire.

        I wont be comfortable with either choice tbh.
        I'm leaning towards keeping faith and reassessing after this GW.

        Yeah Luka hasn't looked great but I assume Barkley will start over Osman and give them the extra drive they've been lacking lately. Him and Luka looked good at the start of the season but then he started getting rested

          Rvp i understand as a solid captain. but so is suarez rooney and aguero. Ozil on the other hand i dont really see how you would class him as a solid captain choice. Hardly consistent. and this week isnt up against the easiest side to break down.

            its just that arsenal has to win it and some one has to score and giroud wont do it so it all falls back to arsenal mid and Ozil will the happy candidate. But still ramsey cazorla can share that responsibility. So its sick and confusing.

              and Ozil is not known for scoring goals. i dont know how you would think hed have any better chance at all scoring over giroud, cazorla. walcott or ramsey. assists.. yes he probabaly will assist. but not captain material.

    A: Keep Sturridge + Suarez + Aguero

    B: Just take -4pts hit and switch Sturridge ->> Remy

    C: Bravely take -8pts hits

    C1: Sturridge ->> Rooney and Mignolet ->> Myhill

    C2: Sturridge ->> Rooney and Dawson ->> Moxey / Ward / Gabbidon / Baker

    last i checked demichelis has been a pretty consistent goal-threat throughout his career...i've noticed most people going for nastasic however

    is demi worth the extra .5?

    seems like he is less injury-prone and more likely to start week in week out as long as kompany is out

      just look at the stats and apparently he isn't THAT much of a goal threat, so that part of the argument aside, is being able to not have to worry about injuries worth that extra .5?

      especially this week, i see that Nasty is 75 % likely to play, does anyone have any extra information?

      when Bad K is back he will suffer heavy rotation. He's also look pretty sloppy when I've see city so don't bank on many CSs while he and Nasty are starting

      Don't know about goal threat but he's a serious contender for most over rated player ever. Never seen a performance from him in 10 years better than average and with barely 300 appearances in over 13 years I can't see any long term appeal fantasy or otherwise. I'd be surprised to see him holding down a place.

          Walcott very likely to start on the bench. Bony is decent based on your team. Brady does well when Hull get pens but doubt he's good for much more than that.
