A number of midfielders are placed under the spotlight, with Arsenal, City, Chelsea and Liverpool all serving up some strong statistics. The performance of Unitedโs frontmen at Villa and Tottenhamโs inability to find the net under the now-departed Andre Boas-Villa also come under analysis as we delve into the data.

GJ + Jan > wally + chester/ward worth an 8pter though? ๐ or better to wait a week and do it for -4?Open Controlsi'd wait a week.. GJ looks good for this week and so does Janu if he starts
Open ControlsGet off the booze... ๐
Open ControlsSensible thing would be probably to wait. Walcott has Chelsea next he would need to score just for you to break even. But more fun to do it now.
Open Controls
by the way, well done on your suarez captain this week ๐
wish I'd joined you. was down to suarez vs lukaku and went with the belgian unfortunatelyOpen ControlsAt 11.29 i switched from Rooney to Suarez(c) and benched GJ for Burner.. a cool 25 points swing ๐ .. Took a hit for Rosenior to Distin and bought Redmond instead of Silva so the captain move kind of saved me. This week Suarez(c) surely

Hoddle keen on return to Tottenham
"Glenn Hoddle would be willing to become Tottenham manager for a second time in a short-term or long-term capacity."
http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/25394591?SThisEMOpen ControlsDeadzone Madness or master stroke........
Aguero, Barkley, Terry to Negredo, Silva & Distin
12 point hit?Open ControlsNot for a -12!!! Don't take a hit to remove Terry.
Open ControlsTerry only to afford the rest....... Negredo and Silva to outscore Aguero and Barkley for the next couple of weeks by 12 points very likely. I have exactly the right money won't be able to afford it next week.
Open ControlsWhy not just transfer out Aguero this week, and then bring in Silva next week?
Open ControlsI probably can't afford Silva by next week if he rises by .1 more. But i think that is what i will do and find another way to fund it.
Open Controls
I would, but then I'm hardly hit-averse.
An Everton CS and City put a few past Fulham, there's your 12 points back almost immediately.Open Controls
Good Day Gents!
Start Ravel (Man Utd Away) or Chester (WBA Away)?
My other subs are JWP & Ward..
Thanks!Open ControlsHas there been any news on Koscielny?
Badly need him for GW18...Open ControlsI read they are trying to get him fit for chelsea,so it doesn't look too serious.
Open ControlsIf I were their medical team id put those fibre glue stuff, wrap it tight, wear a knee brace, give him painkillers and put him on the pitch this weekend. He's supposed to be a tough lad isn't he?
Doesn't look half as bad as the Rooney one but it's just in a tough place to heal.Open ControlsI had a similar looking injury but it was on the shin rather than the knee, and was back in 2 weeks - I don't think the healing will be a problem but, because of where the injury is, the risk of it opening up again would be the main concern.
Open Controls
Twitter talk that Arsenal have already submitted a bid for Benteke.
๐ฏOpen Controlswouldn't be too bad a signing, they should get him cheap since he's not scoring, Wenger likes a cheap buy
Open ControlsExactly. Taking advantage of the current poor form. Classic Wenger.
Open Controlsyeah, they'll probably start out with a 2 mil offer, ha
Open Controls
He won't come cheap. He has long term contract with Villa.
Open Controls
I suspect this is one of the reason for his poor form. He desperately wants to leave Villa. Would be a good signing for Arsenal if it happens and good option in FPL too.
Open ControlsBetter do it before the Bayern clash.

"Following the dismissal of Villas-Boas, 36, a quarter of the Premier League's clubs have parted company with their managers this season.
Ian Holloway, Martin Jol, Steve Clarke and Paolo Di Canio all lost their jobs since the start of the campaign, with further managerial casualties in the Football League.
"This is a particularly turbulent period. As it stands, 19 managers [across the top four divisions] have already lost their jobs in this campaign.
"Almost half of the managers sacked so far have been given less than one year in the job.
"The volatility in management and coaching continues to undermine the profession at a time when the game needs to continue to encourage players towards the end of their career to stay in football."
from http://m.bbc.com/sport/football/25394591?SThisEMOpen ControlsHow many more do you think will go this season? Moyes next..... Mourinho not safe either....
Open ControlsWhaaaaaat?! I didn't even know Clarke had been sacked!!! I've seen loads of bits about West Brom fans wanting certain managers at the club, but I didn't know it was official.
Open ControlsChris Hughton was on thin ice until 2 games ago...
Paul lambert?Open ControlsOnly 2 points more then 15th position.
A striker that hasn't scored 14th Sept and it seems he is prob going to lose him in January.
There next 4 fixtures could be crucial: stoke/CPAL/swans/SUNOpen Controls
Pick one Only this GW:
Ramsey(CHE)
Sess(HUL)
My rivals have ramsey so maybe don't take the risk with sess.
Thanks.Open ControlsRamsey easily. Form over fixtures. Whilst Ramsey doesn't have much form, 2 assists over the past 3 matches, it's still a lot more than Sessegnon.
Open ControlsRamsey. Never bench him.
Open ControlsRamsey all day
Open ControlsI'm going to go Sess.
Depends how much you like a gamble. New manager playing an average team.
May even play up front, you just don't know.
If you're top if MLs go Ramsey, if chasing (and those above don't have Sess) I'd be tempted by Sess
*huge caveat- I'm STILL a Sess owner also.Open Controls
Who to play?
A) Chico
B) Chester
C) Burner
Speroni
Zab-Coleman-????
Ireland-Ramsey-Walcott-Hazard
Lukaku-Rooney-Suarez (C)Open ControlsChico or Chester. Depends what you expect from a managerless WBA. I'd expect Everton to score so probably go with Chester.
Open ControlsChester.
Open ControlsChico if he's available, followed by Chester & Burner.
Open ControlsChester
Open ControlsChester, why is Burner even in the list? ๐

"According to Gazzetta dello Sport an agreement has been reached between Chelsea and Inter Milan for central midfielder Fredy Guarin."
Open ControlsBox to box. Very good player. Would be perfect in their double pivot.
Open ControlsYeah at the moment we have only Lampard, Mikel & Ramires for 2 positions.
Open Controls
with Ba & Mikel going the other way i think..
Open Controls
Taking a hit and still having Sess and Brady just doesn't seem right somehow ๐
I was going to do -8 and get Mirallas for Sess but that wouldn't make sense this week... Would it?Open ControlsI sense a mega score for mirallas this week and i already got rid for silva ๐
Open ControlsCould work. Sess has to go next week regardless so you may still end up taking a hit for him anyway.
Open ControlsSacked manager syndrome worries me with Sess though. Oh wait, just spotted that Everton are on Sky ๐
Open Controls
Same issue. Might have to play Sess again this week and hope for wonders. ๐

Good to go? and my subs in order?
Please suggest..
Thanks!Open ControlsAny Changes needed? (0FT & 1.2m)
Howard (Harper)
Coleman G.Johnson MCAuley (Walker Chambers)
Haz Wally Ramsey Brunt (Ravel)
Suarez Lukaku RooneyOpen ControlsI'd get rid of McAuley next week, fine for this week though.
Open ControlsWas thinking the same as West Brom r out of form & conceding goals. Only thing is to see is the new manager effect.
Open ControlsYour def is too heavy IMO so I'd downgrade him for a cheapie (Burner/Ward/Chester) next week. Too expensive for a WBA defender!
Open ControlsTrue, I might struggle to bring in Silva without HITS as I hv a lot of Cash imbedded in defense. perhaps I cud follow Mark's strategy & Save FT in gw 18 & then do 3 transfers in gw 19. What say ?
Open ControlsSounds good, but knowing this season there will be injuries this week to ruin any plans...
Open Controls
my team (already -4)
Gazza
GJ Coleman Ward
Hazard Ramsey Yaya Brady
Suarez Rooney Lukaku
Ravel Dawson Burner
A. dont take another hit. play Brady / Ravel / Dawson ?
B. take another hit. Brady -> WallyOpen ControlsOnly a matter of time before the likes of Silva and Walcott start having massive transfers in. Their current status of being a differential won't last for long. Get them in when the ownership is low.
Also, its the defence that's gonna help in pushing you up the rankings IMO. That's the only area where a template hasn't emerged. Except for maybe an Everton defender. Now that people are planning to go cheap in defence, it would also be useful to be kept in mind that if your defenders score big/ well, you could go up further in rankings than let's say the mids and the strikers.Open ControlsUpvote from me. That said, it's not easy squeezing out the cash to get the template mids and forwards.
Open ControlsI agree but hard to predict defenders its more of a lottery. So might as well have strong midfield where odds are safer and you might get a bonus with defenders. No one's defines seems very strong at the moment.
Open ControlsSome cheapies like Chester and a Crystal Palace defender have emerged. Also Sunderland have been quietly keeping clean sheets, and Norwich have kept a number of clean sheets at home, but have flown under the radar because they've been absolutely clobbered away.
Open Controls
The template front 7 is already set in stone.
๐Open Controlsand I can't afford all 7 cuz I was late to the aguero and ramsey parties ๐
Open ControlsYeah Ramsey has killed me points and value wise. To make it worse is I owned Ozil when he scored 2's while Ramsey was raking in the points and TV. Then I sold Ozil...the rest is history...
Open Controls
Whats your 7. I would say 4 are fixed Suarez, Lukaku, Ramsey, Hazard, but then there is choice. Rooney or Negredo Silva or Yaya, Ozil or Walcott. I am going with Negredo, Silva and Walcott as its what i can afford.
Open Controls
Silva can remain under the radar due to Yaya. Yaya is still getting more transfers in than silva.
Open ControlsI'll get both next week. God, please don't let them rise too much this week.
Open ControlsNot much room for error for me. Looks like hits galore...
Open Controls
My tip for a great diff over the next few weeks...
Rafael ๐Open ControlsNot worth the price over evans.
Open ControlsYou know this? Rafael is a great attacking player when he's firing and more nailed on than Evans imo
Open ControlsHe is also subject to rotation and is injured very easily. Better options for 5.9.
Hes a good pick but united are not united this season. Evans is probably worth it if you have a few decent subsOpen ControlsOne of the reasons Utd have been poor at the back is the lack of a decen rb. I agree he is a bit injury prone but no more than Evans and is easier to replace if that happens
Open Controls
Waaaay to expensive. Might have considered him at 4.8.
Open ControlsTerrific option. He was great for me last season.
Open Controls
Any hits needed?
Howard
Terry, Distin, Ward
Ozil, Hazard, Ramsey, Bannan
Suarez, Lukaku, Rooney
4m, Morrison, Rat, Burner
3.7m in bank.
Thanks in advance.Open ControlsYeah got rid of Aguero for Lukaku this week. I could do Ravel > Nasri for a hit but I'd prefer Silva so think I'll wait a week. Terry might go soon for Zaba too.
Open ControlsI was asking this because I don't have city also and have a similar team like you.
I am playing bannan or 4 defendersOpen ControlsI don't mind playing Bannan this week, he could nick something at home. Probably look to get a City mid in soon though! Good luck
Open ControlsYeah because Chelsea were dominating so with CPL playing on the counter attack Bolasie's pace was needed. I think Bannan will start this week
Open Controls
No hits needed, but two west ham players? I would look to transfer Rat next GW.
Open ControlsWest Hams fixtures are great in a couple of weeks. I'm basically playing Terry and Distin every week and the Ward/Burner rotation is excellent so I don't think Rat is a must sell ATM. Cheers for the reply
Open Controls
Looks good for this week. Only problem might be Rat not starting for West Ham. So next week u cud change him if he has last his spot to McCartney.
Open ControlsHe's been injured so hopefully he'll be back soon. Cheers

Open ControlsMignolet,
Koscielny*, Chico, Coleman,
Hazard, Silva, Ramsey, Morrison,
Suárez, Rooney, Lukaku.
Daniels, Clyne, Chester, Brady*.
£1.2m in the bank.
I've already used my FT on Agüero -> Rooney. Should I take a hit somewhere? Thanks.Open ControlsA team with Mignolet is always due a hit. Maybe Howard?
Open ControlsWhen he is playing Cardiff at home? I would wait a week on that move.
Open Controls
Looks alright without a hit to me, although I think Clyne's still out, and Koscielny won't be back.
Open ControlsLooks good, I'd get rid of Brady soon though.
Open Controls
Morning gang!
Which looks tastier?
A) Rooney + Shelvey + Shawcross
B) Lukaku + Hazard + Chester
C) Lukaku + Silva + Curtis DaviesOpen ControlsBest GK from GW18? Money no issue...
De Gea?Open ControlsDe Gea or Howard for upcoming run?
Open ControlsTook an 8 point hit to do Aguero, Barkley & Clyne > Lukaku, Silva & Ward... Leaves me with nothing in the bank. G2G?
http://imgur.com/0vT7AccOpen ControlsI'm probably the only one still isn't sure if Lukaku is the way to go as replacement for Kun.
๐Open ControlsMy concern is if it's worth owning a player that has 32% ownership to make up a 70pts deficit in my ML.
He should have had 2;2 the last 2 games.Open Controls
I think Lukaku, Rooney, Negredo and Giroud are all worthy companions for Suarez.
Open ControlsOf course. My Rooney "differential" is now out the window.
Suarez is set in stone.
The 3rd is the problem.Open ControlsHas to be Negredo or Lukaku imo.
Remy for a punt, Tekkers for a big risk.Open ControlsNah. I had a look, but no thanks.
Open Controls
You're not the only one. I'm not convinced at all.
He doesn't get enough of the ball for my liking, Everton seemed to prioritise defending. And Negredo obviously has his flaws with City's upcoming schedule. It's screaming out for boxing day Berba.Open ControlsBut would you pick Berba for City(H)?
Open Controls
GW18 onwards
A) De Gea
B)Howard
C) SchcehceznyOpen Controlsreason?
Open Controls
A
Open ControlsI brought in Szczesny last week in anticipation of Arsenal's upcoming fixtures and defensive solidarity prior to the City hammering. With Koscielny out I'd go Howard if you don't have an Everton defender or else De Gea to spread the risk.
Open Controlsthanks for the detailed analysis i have Coleman so was thinking De Gea
Open Controls
4 consecutive reds - reckon this lot will stop the bleeding?

Evra, Ward, Clyne
Hazard, Nasri, Mirallas, Ramsey
Suarez(c), Rooney(v), Lukaku

How are we going to brake the template?
What trade did you do?Open ControlsAguero -> Rooney. Was tempted with Negredo, but went safe.
Really want Walcott in and am considering Nasri/Mirallas -> Wally for a hit. Thoughts?Open ControlsYou obviously wont stick with Nasri and mirallas. If thats the case just get rid of Nasri for Walcott and that will settle your nerves ๐
Open ControlsJeez, I dunno hey. What's the plan to get City attacking cover if you sell Nasri?
I can do Kun/Sess->Negredo/Wally for -4
0.0m
Not sure myselfOpen ControlsHow about:
GW17: Nasri -> Walcott (4 points)
GW18: Save
GW19: Evra & Mirallas -> 5.1m defender & Silva
??
I really like your hit and would do it.Open ControlsYeah, that looks nice.
It looks like you have some space for a Silva price hike. Maybe get Evans in for 5m?Open ControlsYeah, Evans is a good option also, although I'm planning to WC straight after GW20, and United have (nor, TOT) - not the worst, but not the best either.
Ahhh, but Nasri is bang on form. Reckon he'll suffer more rotation than Walcott over Xmas?Open ControlsNasri doing well. I just hate his guts, even from Ars days. ML leader also owns him, so I'm giving him a miss.
For me its a Q of how much will Silva/Wally be rested with their injury recordsOpen Controls
That move looks very good to me. -4 will be repaid easily. I am doing something very similar but it is going to cost me more.
Open Controls
Looks great for this week, though it's always risky benching Terry with his goal threat.
Open ControlsArguably the only reason why people have got reds over the last month is cos they DIDNT captain Suarez.
Solution to reds: always captain Suarez
Now you're going to tell me you did captain Suarez.Open Controls
I may be over obsessive on this issue but then again I have some comments on watchlist factors. As Aguero is not in forward list, I assume that it is updated following GW16.
Yet; the season ticker advice that City, Liverpool and United have 2nd, 9th and 11th favorable fixtures. However watchlist suggest Suarez has unfavorable, Rooney has favorable fixtures and Negredo has no sign. Isn't it incoherent?Open ControlsMignolet
Terry ¤ Coleman ¤ Flanagan
Hazard ¤ Walcott ¤ Mirallas ¤ Morrison
Suarez (C) ¤ Rooney ¤ Lukaku
Vlaar ¤ Whittingham ¤ Turner
