The Dugout Discussion – Monday

It’s nights like this that separate Fantasy managers from the typical football fan. Sunderland’s home game with West Ham may not offer immediate appeal to most folk, but for us, the chance of a Vito Mannone clean sheet makes our Monday viewing worth the while:

The Black Cats have kept out their opponents in two of the last three at the Stadium of Light, and with a pair of double Gameweeks still to follow, their main Fantasy assets are central to our thoughts this evening. Adam Johnson owners will be frustrated, though, with the wide man left on the bench once again by Gus Poyet.

Sam Allardyce’s side will be looking to build on last week’s home win over Hull – a victory tonight would take them 12 points clear of the Wearsiders and give the Hammers breathing space ahead of a tricky schedule which sees them square up to Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and City in the remaining six Gameweeks.

Am I crazy, i've had some bad luck recently and I want to get back on form so how does this sound for a -12?

Kolarov, Puncheon, Koscielny, Lukaku > JRod, Demichelis, Caulker, Eriksen - 12 I definitely think that each of the players I'm getting is at least 3 points better than the one i'm replacing him with and that would give me flexibility to play any formation possible with confidence and leave me with a team of:

Boruc-Mannone
Caulker-Azpi-Demichelis-Chester-Baines
Hazard-Eriksen-Snodgrass-Yaya-Nasri
JRod-Suarez-Sturridge

    I'm tired of having Lukaku in my team to be honest, he may play 90 each match but predicting where the points from the Everton attack has and will be such a crapshot plus JRod has been is superb form and he is cheap and Southampton look relatively free scoring of late. Puncheon is just a nuisance, I brought him in for his last double digit score ages ago but since then he has produced nothing but two pointers and one point cameos off the bench. As you said as well, there is a large rotation risk around him.

    Eriksen has great fixtures and is great to have especially when he's on form and of late he has looked very threatening. Caulker has awesome fixtures the rest of the way and I fancy them to pick up a few clean sheets and as we all know by now he is a constant goal threat. Kosc is still injured and I don't really consider Kolarov a DGW player as there is a very small possibility of him playing moth fixtures

He might not be as bad as Di Canio but Poyet is a fool. Persisting with guys like Vergini and Borini who might as well be wearing floppy boots and red noses they're such clowns. Dropping Johnson who is quite clearly a class above everything else they have. Himself and Ki looked like the only capable players going forward. That Scoco is useless too. And where the hell is Giacherini?

thoughts on Holtby or Degjah for FPL. If rotated with Puncheon it produces

CPL/avl, NOR. STO, HUL, new/sto, CPL

0.1 short of Lallana and have no Everton spots open. Eriksen leaves me 0.2 short if I want Kun for GW34
