I'm playing Caulker (tot) over Colloccini (avl). The community seems almost universally against it, and I'm curious why. Yes, Newcastle have a better fixture for the clean sheet, but you bought Caulker for the goals, and he had a couple of shots at the weekend
Open ControlsYou bought Caulker because of the hype 😉

A month of planning to end up with the arse-end of the FFS template 😆Open Controls😯
5 in midfield and you only hit 1/4 of the double digits! Unlucky, Roscola.Open ControlsYeah, the accidental Jovetic benching turned out to be painless at least. But it's quite weird how template my team is, and how poorly it performed compared to everyone else's templates. I managed to very expertly swerve around the points without doing anything maverick, except perhaps not having Siggy.
But now, having fixed Young with a Siggy-plaster, I don't know what else to do with it. Jovetic will obviously have to leave but I need to make funds for that to happen. Everyone else looks fine.Open Controls

Thinking of going 3-5-2 from 3-4-3
Maybe :
Giroud> Kane
Al Ahmadi > Tadic
What do you think?Open ControlsSo does anybody have any compelling arguments as to why I should not sell Eriksen for Sterling. Only thing stopping me is the fixtures, but is that really a good enough reason? These price rises early in the year are invaluable 😕
Open ControlsNot really, i would probably do it. Posted/ rambled on about price below in waaaay too much lenght
Open ControlsNot below, earlier. .1's really can make a difference, especially if they are tied to .1 drops eg Mata's soon
Open Controls
Fixtures is a good enough reason. But if you can't buy him after his price has risen then that's a better one.
Open ControlsDefinitely do it. Liverpool have many more goals in them than Tottenham!
People telling other people they are stupid for knee jerking (e.g. Mata->Fab), building team value is a perfectly legitimate strategy in this game and Fabregas has proven himself a lot more essential than Mata, over the years.
Surely we've all learned that fixtures dont mean that much. On evidence of the weekend's games, having Rooney and Mata and possibly a defender from Man U is overkill, when Chelsea have Leicester up next and look formidable.Open ControlsIt's a tougher decision then you think.. Eriksen could quite easily score more then sterling this week then roles would be reversed
Open Controls
Who will be this season's Golden Boot winner?
My guess is Wayne Rooney.Open ControlsBum, bottom of last page so further apolg for re re post, last time promise.
Posted this a few hours ago but would love some feedback from a different crowd. Sorry it ended up way longer than i thought.
A genuine question to Mata owners (I am one) who are advising people to hold on to him. Is this based on-
A. Fantasy football tactics and experience ie saving transfers, jerking knees, points hits
B. Actual analysis of how Man U played on Saturday, you saw signs they will actually play better.
C. The vain hope that if you keep saying it others wont transfer him out and might avoid a price fall and it makes you feel more justified in your decision to keep him.
I watched the whole of the Man U game. They were woeful.
-------------------------------------de Gea-----------------------------------------
-------------------------Blackett Smalling Jones-----------------------
----Young------------------- Fletcher------Herrera -------------------- Lingard
------------------------------------Mata----------------------------------------
----------------------------Hernández Rooney---------------------------
Next week Lingard maybe out? Janzai / Valencia in? Evans may be back?
Look at that team, it is not good. There will be moments of individual brilliance from Rooney, Mata and RVP but as an actual team it is poor.
During the game the defense were disorganized, not knowing who to pick up. The system of 3 center back works well when there are 2 up front for the opposition, 2 mark and one sweeps. When the opposition plays only one up front 3 at the back is a waste, it creates indecision over who has responsibility. The 3 centre backs did not get round to cover the wing backs. Herrera was bullied out the game by Shelvey! Young cant defend. There is a distinct lack of creativity in the middle and when Man U had possession they would get slowly into the Swansea half and then looked ponderous. Van Gaal has played this system all pre season but had such little confidence in it/ the players that after 45 mins he went to 4-4-2. He himself has come out and said that this team is not good enough.
Anyway this is not pure Man U bashing, really want to know about advice given on here, the A,B,C above. I have a little experience of fantasy league but have played and coached at ok levels, not sure if my ‘real’ football thoughts helps with the fantasy game?Open ControlsThat team has persuaded me to sell him. And I want DDG out too.
Wow. Its so shit.Open ControlsI shouldn't 🙄
But players who we expected to perform have, and if you don't have them, then you may well get left behind.
I don't think that it is knee jerkjng getting in these players, as they did well last season, and have been tooted on here for ages.
At the end of the day its just Sterling and Fábregas of the ones who did really well that I don't have, but I need to sort out my defence too.Open Controls
Where is Rojo?
Open ControlsI think hanging on to a player because of fixtures is an awful strategy. Form is always more important. I think selling Mata, even for a hit, is justified, especially if you also have Rooney.
Open Controls
Although I did well this first GW I'm waiting until the first five GWs are over to assess whether I planned out my team out well enough.
Hopefully playing Sterling and Sturridge against Spurs/City pays off.Open ControlsHello lads!
Any glaring weaknesses in this team: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/265925/event-history/1/
Should have played Siggy I know:(Open ControlsI have Ramsey mate 😉
Open Controls
defence is a bit sus
Open Controls
1024th in the world with 84 points. Think thats my best start for a good few years :o)
Open ControlsSo Tadic's stats are non existent for the pool game.. yet ppl on here raving about him.. How did he look? loads of potential there? the fixtures are tremendous i must say. if i save my transfer i can swap Young for him next week giving me a midfield of Eriksen Ramsey Siggy Tadic.. gotta say i'll be pretty happy with that 🙂
Open ControlsLooked sharp in the second half. If I had a slot free I'd be tempted.
Open ControlsGood thing about going with 3 big guys upfront is that you always have a slot free for a 7.5 and below punt in midfield 🙂 ..
Open Controls
I'm fairly happy with him sitting in my team 🙂 Looked like one of the main focal points of the Saints attack and his assist was beautiful
Open ControlsYay! thanks irish.. feel a bit better now about missing out on sterling/fabs.. cheers
Open Controls
you just have to watch his assist and you know he is quality.
Open ControlsTadic was mighty impressive. And played as 1 of a front 3. If my midfield weren't already rocking I'd be looking to bring him in, especially with those fixtures.
Open ControlsCheers all.. looks like Tadic is coming into my team next week 🙂 .. Got Costa and Sturridge upfront so hopefully Fabregas and Sterling dont burn me too much 🙂
Open ControlsHe is a very crafty player, his assist for the clyne goal was totally deliberate. If you get him he will be a very good punt and will return points, especially against the lesser teams
Open ControlsHe looked alright but tbh he'd have to show a lot more in the next couple for me to consider him. I reckon Cabella looked more dangerous
Open Controls
After watching the match, Hazard is who I'm scared of not having. Would love to fit him and Fabregas in.
Open ControlsHard to believe Vlaar is going to get a price rise when you look at those fixtures... Presumably people are just looking at the next 1 or 2 games. Still look like a waste of a transfer to me.
Open ControlsSAB on the previous page: I couldn't agree with you more.
When it comes to Mata people are concentrating on fixtures far too much. The team didn't look cohesive going forwards, that isn't going to be magically fixed for Sunderland away at the weekend. Mata did not look threatening against Swansea. Obviously one game can hardly be called 'form' but there's nothing to indicate that United will suddenly up their game. This is particularly significant when compared with the likes of Sterling and Fabregas, playing in well-oiled attacking teams who look dangerous and score goals.Open Controlsthanks, re posted here too as it was nearly dead last on that page. What will change vs Sunderland away? Noting imo
Open Controls
Hopefully Shaw is nearer to 5.0M when he returns from injury. Once he is fit enough he will be an amazing prospect.
Open ControlsHe won't drop anywhere near that much unfortunately.
Open ControlsThink about all the casuals that have him. They only play properly for the first few weeks, and won't want Shaw in then. He will drop a couple this week, then next. He is out for a month, so should certainly be at least 5.5M. Then, due to his lack of fitness (even more of it) he will be rested for a few games. Casuals will see him available but not selected, and his price will plummet more.
Open Controls
Is it crazy to consider Sterling -> Fab instead of Mata -> Fab this GW for TV reasonms, and then evaluate who to swap back again when Pool's fixtures ease?
Open ControlsFor TV reasons, no, it's nonsense. Sterling will go up too. If you're doing it purely for TV reasons then it has to be Mata.
Open Controls
Mids points table
Sterling - Siggy - Fabs - Ramsey - Silva - Cattermole
Cream rising very quickly this season.Open ControlsWhere to start with this
Krul/Foster
Filipe/Davies/NTaylor/Jones/Chambers
Hazard/Sanchez/Ramsey/Siggy/Young
Rooney/Jovetic/Bojan
Who needs to go first? Ideally want to raise cash so i can have Aguero for GWk 4/5 assuming he doesn't get injured.
So who should be first to go?!Open ControlsGod damn Utd...stop trying to buy CBs. You're unsettling my Jones in my team.
Open ControlsI'm playing 5 in midfield. I already have Hazard, what do you guys think of getting Fabregas too?
My midfield is Hazard Eriksen Siggy Ramsey Mata.Open ControlsGood morning guys. Eriksen's gonna have a great season.
Open Controlshope so.
Open Controls
Too early to call but I doubt he will, will rotate a bit with willian

On Hazard dropping out in big games being laughable,
I'll make a bet with you.
Gameweek 5, away to Man City, I'll bet you he gets benched.
I'll bet the play Fabregas central, 2 holding mids and Willian and Schurrle wide.
Either way, Man City v Chelsea, I bet you Hazard drops out as workmen will be needed to chase back.Open ControlsHazard did pretty well last season at the Etihad. He tore Zabaleta to pieces and he's one of the best Right Backs around. I'll be highly surprised if he doesn't start.
Open ControlsI recall it. He did yes. But Jose laid the Champions league exit on Hazard not playing for the team remember.
Open ControlsI wouldn't go that far but he wasn't brilliant defensively in that game. He offers far much more going forward than any other Chelsea attacking midfielder though and Jose knows that despite the Atletico game they wouldn't have got as many points last season had Hazard not played.
Open Controls
That won't happen
Apart from his two lapses in the Champions league, Hazard has become very good at doing his bit and tracking back and he gives much more creativity and incisiveness than SchurrleOpen ControlsDoes he? I must have saw a different World Cup from you.
Open Controls
You think their best player will be dropped in tough games? 😆

And with their current team & moral Utd could end up out of Europe (including Europa) again.Open Controlsim tempted to play caulker (away/ spurs) over debuchy (away/toffee)...anyone have any opinions on this?
Open ControlsThe way Chelsea played the 2nd half yesterday, I can see Fabregas only doing damage in the 1st half.
Open ControlsTempted to double up with Haz + Cesc for a -4
Open ControlsNot usually one for knee jerks but Mata > Fabregas done.
Even with Man U's nice run of next 5 fixtures they were still dire against Swansea. Chelsea are much more the finished article with Man U still a work in progress.
I feel much more comfortable having Fabregas in. Rooneys enough Man U cover for me right now.Open ControlsIm tempted to do Terry/Mata->Cesc/PVA for -4
Will go in with Hazard and Cesc vs Leic(H)Open Controls
