G'day lads been mulling over this for a week.. I've got 2FT and 0.0itb

    Krul | Gilks
    Chambers | Kaboul | Clyne | Ferdinand | Taylor
    Mata | Ramsey | Hazard | Siggy | Sterling
    Rooney | Costa | Zamora

    A) Chambers -->> Wilson save 1FT
    B) Chambers & Mata -->> Moreno & Mirallas/Tadic
    C) Chambers & Mata -->> Moreno & Zaha (Use the left over funds for Zamora to Welbeck next wk)
Any other suggestions are welcome. Cheers DZ

Mata => Sterling (-4) yes or no?

    Yes:
Mata is not my only problem so no doubt I will have to take at least one hit in gw's 4-6. Makes sense to do this now. Also saves me 0.2.

    No:
I'm not totally convinced that Mata is a 'no go' now and also not totally convinced about Sterlings almost essential status atm.

I usually advise against hits but in thhis case I'd do it.

      Sterling is hot atm.

It's hard to justify it for a hit, almost impossible. For a free, yes, ok. But with no price movements hits are losing their appeal by about 50%

But he's not doing it for TV, he's doing it because Mata has been pish. There's a decent chance Mata won't start in which case he'll only have to make back 2 Pts. I would do it in a heartbeat.

      Thanks guys.
Have to say that I don't like it for a hit, but then again, hit is needed sooner or later anyway so....well have to decide pretty soon, because I really don't won't to risk with prices for too long anymore πŸ™‚

    Please advise,
    DDG, Gilks
    Wisdom, Cahill, Clyne, Naylor, Coloccini
    Lamela, Sigurdsson, Sterling, Ramsey, Marney
    Jovetic, Rooney, Costa

    1ft- 0.7M in the Bank.

    I am considering-
    Jovetic/Costa- Welbeck/Aguero for a -4 hit.

    What would you do?

        Solid team Moin.

Only not sure about Alba at that price. PSG in gw 2 as well.

What about the bench? You got to have some decent players as backup in this format. Otherwise your start players blanking may leave you with a lot of catching up to do.

Howdy chaps, just wondering if I could gather some thoughts on my WC team please ... whilst it's quiet and only if you have time πŸ™‚

    Krul Mannone

    Moreno Pieters Clyne Naylor Dier

Ramsey Sterling Fabregas Sigurdsson 4.5 (likely Jones / King)

    Costa Welbeck Falcao

Obvious queries about the forward line but i'm quietly confident that Danny and Radamel will fire for their respective sides from the start, considering their quality. Other options would be Costa Aguero & Naismith.

Not sure about Falcao and Welbz. They may not start this week and you'll want to transfer them out next week due to worries about their gametime.

I think it's better to go for only nailed on players when on a WC. I suggest you to get Aguero as you're on WC. He'll be essential soon enough and you also have the option to downgrade to Falcao when he settles in and if Kun doesn't fire.

I personally hate money on the bench, hate it. I'd prefer money in the bank if you must. Sell Pieters and Dier to 4.0 options and consider upgrade of Welbeck.

Or bank it....I believe Sanchez and Hazard will emerge so you may require cash

    Terry Chester NTaylor (Wisdom Hutton)
    Hazard Ramsey Sterling Siggy (Marney)
    Rooney Costa Jovetic

0.3ITB. Already used my 1FT to go Mata to Sterling.

Costa, Hazard and Jovetic are injury worries. If Jovetic doesn't pull would you get Adebayor or Welbeck? And is either one worth a hit?

    Ramsey, Siggy, Sterling, Hazard (King)
    Costa, Rooney, Pelle

    WC in play.

I'd prefer Welbeck to Pelle. I reckon Ivan is essential if on a WC. There are also question marks over Rooney's position (he might become reverse OOP).

      1. UpAndAway

I have considered Wellbeck, but he has a tough run in the next 4. Pelle has Newcastle, QPR, Sunderland and Stoke at all home in the next 6.

As for Rooney, I could go Balotelli with Sturridge out.

And I don't think Ivanovic will keep this scoring trend for too much longer. It's a huge investment with his current price.

        Thanks for your thoughts.

Fair enough on Pelle. Yeah I'd keep Rooney for now, just make a plan to get Kun or Falcao if he doesn't perform the next couple weeks.

I have enough in the bank to go Folcao for sure. Want to see him play first.

Plus there are huge Q marks about how LVG will integrate his new signings into the formation.

          I'd either:

          1) Save the FT.
          2) Get rid of a defender (probably Wisdom) for Wilson/Pieters, and play them over Caulker.
          3) Get rid of Caulker for Moreno.

Captain is a choice between Rooney, Balo, Sterling and Hazard. All good options IMO.

Chances of Alex McCarthy taking Rob Greens spot at goal? He wouldn't of left Reading to sit on the bench all season. He is a quality GK and is only 4.0.

He has had 70 appearances in total, only 16 last Season. I think you may be barking up the wrong tree. He is 24 - at this age nearly all decent goalkeepers are well-ensconced.

Read here that Jovetic is out until Christmas? So it is pretty safe to bring Aguero on wildcard? No rotation / resting in PL games no when champions league kicks in.

    Todays price change rant

This is my last post commenting on the lack of price changes. Many think i have been complaining because i have wildcarded and am doing poorly. Fact is im in about 11,000 odd better than most years after three rounds, not normally in top 100k

Reason i dont like the lack of price movement is simply because its boring , nothing to do now midweek. Just wait till saturday then make a transfer, its now no challenge. Deadzone now a shadow of its former self without the excitement of the price change deadline

Fact is less price movements actually help me , i dont take hits, those that do previously gained financially from them , almost making their hits worthwhile now however the hit takers gain no financial reward and will be easier to pick off, especially as most are too incompetent and impatient not to take hits

    Rant over

I think most know your rank atm. I see why you WC'ed but at 11K with no major shift in the fixtures, you probably know you didn't need to. In the old days Rooney would have dropped etc but things have changed. Time to adapt. πŸ™‚

Price changes are big part of this game and no price movement makes this game much easier. For example Ramsey isn't included in my wc team and if he starts shooting again its easy to get him again due to lack of price rises.
