Ohh..I thought Melbourne is hotter since they stage the Australian Open there 😀

So a Degree in Architecture is not that helpful in that condition, eh? 😉

What does my academic accreditation have to do with the glorious Queensland weather? 😀

But no, only air con can help in this situation...

Haha, just thinking maybe that extra knowledge in ventilation and lighting calculation might help to adapt. 😛 don't worry, we're in the same business, since I'm an urban planner.

    De Gea (myhill)

Shawcross - Coloccini - neil Taylor (Van aanholt, Wisdom)

Dyer - Ramsey - Sigursson - Eriksen (Sterling)

Diego Costa - Rooney - Naismith

    FT : 0 ITB : 4.4m

Any changes for hit? I got money in bank now to replace Naismith for Pelle? Upgrade Eriksen to Di maria or Fab? (to late to go for fab wagon?)

I know but I'm reluctant to double up on Saints' attack. Don't rate Pelle much (not yet anyway) & I thought Newcastle were terrible.

Do you really think Adebayor's fixtures are tough?

WBA, ars (derby), SOT, mci, NEW, avl, STK.

I don't know how he's playing these days (would appreciate insights) but being spearhead of Spurs attack coupled with Penalty duties tempting me.

Chadli is the best pick in the Spurs attack atm. The 3 fixtures after the wba game are tough... soton against qpr could be a blood bath...

Anyone wildcarding this week and would like to join a h2h league? Had a cosy 10 players league with those who wildcard with me, kinda nice to see how fellow wildcarders are doing?

Not sure if I will get any response though, and I guess this is not a popular week to wildcard.

So Moreno lost his UCL assist, Artur lost a playing point and Dominguez managed to recover some extra balls. Who knew that points could be scored after they'd been confirmed for the match day.
    [/sarcasm font]

At least the site is working so I can make some substitutions this morning (not Artur though - he's stuck). Not going to risk waiting for lineups again.

As an aside. One of the UEFA guys ( @UEFAcomAndrewH ) has offered to pass on any issues people are having to the people who run the UEFA game. Feel free to send him some tweets to explain any issues you've had.

As we have some of the most knowledgeable crowd around at this point in time, I would love to know your thoughts about doubling up on defenders. Would you for example, double up on Clyne and Bertrand from next week when the Saints have these fixtures up till game week 12

    QPR,tot,SUN,STO,hul,LEI,avl

Or would you prefer one of Clyne/Bertrand and get someone like a Chambers who could represent good value for money with these fixtures

I'm doubling up, but it's Clyne and Forster for me.

Having 2/5 of your defenders from one team really limits your options each week in terms of fixtures for your defenders, for example if they have a bad fixture (tot) you'll have to rely on all of your other defenders having good fixtures, which is unlikely... That probably doesn't make sense but maybe someone will know what I mean 😆

Plus, if they concede a goal, the keeper can always get a bucketful of saves!

Innsie on wildcard? Why not Bertrand instead of Clyne as he is cheaper and has better stats?

          • 10 Years
          9 years, 9 months ago

I have considering getting Bertrand, but I've had Clyne from the start and have grown quite attached to him 😆 I think Clyne has better goal threat and Bertrand better assist threat... I'll consider it again, are getting Bertrand?

          1. Turtlepower
            • 10 Years
            9 years, 9 months ago

Was more keen on Clyne initially(got him start of wc at 5.1), but Bertrand does seem to be a little better and heard he has good combination with Tadic down the left.

Know Clyne better from last season though, and have a soft spot for him.

            Bertrand edging it for now.

    4. Aaron Ramessi - Straya
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

I don't trust our defence - I would go for Bertrand...critically, both he and Clyne have good attacking threat, so there is nothing wrong with a double up with those fixtures imo 🙂

      Agreed...

One can only speculate on the reasons why Keane moved... maybe he was happy being higher up the pecking order... i.e back up for Duff... whereas he wouldn't get a look in for United...

      1. President John F. Keninnsie
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

        That's exactly what I think...

He's Burnley's 3rd choice CB, any injury or form drop by Duff/Shackell and he'll be starting, whereas for United he'd be behind Rojo/Smalling/Evans/Jones etc and wouldn't even make the bench for the majority of their games.

The cross hit the defender first, then Rick O'Shead about until Balotelli finally got it under control and finished it. I have Moreno and was surprised at that time when i saw it was given.

Let Mark or one of the Mods know. I told a mod before, can't remember who, and they informed Mark and got it sorted pretty quick.

    Finally Thinking

Jones --> Bertrand and Cahill --> Baines for a hit!!

many will say avoid hit..but they just might recover the hit points!

yeah but against Liverpool could be a 0-0 draw..and Chelsea also has tough fixtures..so both have tough games..and because of the easy game that's how he might recover the -4 points..

    Really need some insight.

    Krul
    Terry Clyne Hutton
    Hazard Ramsey Sterling Siggy
    Costa Rooney Naismith

    Elliot Marney Chester Wisdom

    1 FT, 2.9 itb

Think I'll keep Haxzard since I'm chasing and need him as a differential, so

    A. Terry -> Baines
    B. Wisdom -> Duff & bench who?
    C. save FT

Yep, anything can happen in a derby. But the Merseyside one is not famous for goals, unlike NLD or Tyne–Wear derby

10 goals in two games last season though. Different managers, different styles. I think well see more of the same this season.

In 135 years Everton have only been awarded one penalty at Anfield. The odds don't look good.

Hmm your defence is in a bit of trouble... Hopefully Chester regains his spot after Hull conceded 2 goals, but unless they switch back to 3 at the back I think that's unlikely.

I may be biased since I'm on a WC, but I think you should consider yours - I'm not a fan of Krul, Elliot, Terry, Chester, Wisdom, Marney, Hazard(?) and Naismith.

If you don't WC then Wisdom > Duff looks good, Terry has AVL next week so they may keep a clean sheet then. The possible price drops of Terry and Hazard will be annoying for you though...

Yeah that's the transfer I'm looking at. MEh, I think it's too late for me to WC, Terry has dropped, and I kinda like my front 7, for now.

I will give Hazard until Villa game. If he does nothing, then off he go.

Hazard's stats are improving, BUT - his points may be cannibalised by Fabregas/Oscar.

Terry may have to go, but can limp on. Hutton has a run of truly crap fixtures, ditto. Chester ... Wisdom, keep for Burnley, then defenestrate.

Krul: Newcastle may be in for another bumpy ride. Some of us have been here with DePardieu before ...

    DeGea
    Wilson PvA Duff
    Hazard Siggy Ramsey Sterling
    Ade Rooney Costa

    Bench: xx, Clyne, Marney, Hutton.

Any ideas as to how to spend a FT on this team?

    How's this team guys

    Guzan (manone)

    Terry chambers Blackett (Hutton Wilson)
Siggy Ramsay di Maria Fabregas sterling
    Costa (adebayor Naismith)

Feel like I've covered most bases but I don't have a Southampton player, sort or wanted Bertrand in but I'm 0.4 short. Still, what do we think?

      Terry to Bertrand?

Also i dont like Ade at all as a player but i feel you have to start him at home to West Brom

or if you dont do terry to Bertrand this week, Ade to pelle next

Not sure about playing Guzan this week. Better off playing Mannone against QPR I reckon. Similarly, play Wilson over Terry. I'd probably bench Siggy and play Adebayor at home to hapless WBA. Get rid of Blackett if I was you for Bertrand or Clyne. Blackett may lose his spot as players come back from injury.
