The Fantasy Flutter – Gameweek 6

We turn to the Scout Picks and Differentials this morning in another attempt to get the better of Paddy.

Palace’s home clash with Leicester brings Jason Puncheon onto our radar. The Eagles have scored three times in two of their three league matches under Neil Warnock and kept a clean sheet in their last match at Selhurst Park – with Paddy willing to offer 9/1 on Puncheon to score and Palace to keep out their opponents, we’re willing to fork out £3.

Our bet of the week goes on Southampton’s clash with QPR at St Mary’s, though. Graziano Pelle is the focus of our attention as Paddy offer 15/2 for the Italian to score two or more and the Saints to register a clean sheet – a scenario that occurred in their previous home match. With the R’s yet to net on their travels, we’re all the more convinced and shell out £4 for the Saturday afternoon encounter.

Our final bet is kept for Monday evening, as Stoke welcome Newcastle to the Britannia. Victor Moses has nailed down a role on the Potters’ left and has offered plenty of attacking threat since making his Gameweek 3 debut – Paddy are offering 15/2 on Moses to score one or more and Mark Hughes’ side to keep a clean sheet against the Tyneside team and we’re prepared to part with our final £3 for this one.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Thinking of ditching Krul. Who is the better option?

    A - Begovic

    B - Mannone

Forster is probably the best bet. Out of those Mannone because he'll probably score similarly to Begovic over the season, but is cheaper.

Was deliberately avoiding Forster, as if Pelle's form continues, he may become my third southampton player and I don't want to swap keepers again.

I've already taken one 4pt hit this week, but wondering if I should go for another to remove Herrera in favour of Sterling?

Any other power 5 midfield teams out there trying to decide between Siggy and Ulloa on the bench?

I've benched Siggy at the moment due to Ulloa's form and Palace being slightly worse defensively than Sunderland.

      I got :

Hazard - Ramsey - Sterling - Di Maria - Sigurdsson

      Rooney - Costa - Ulloa

Im going to bench Ulloa, but its very hard to get the benching right. Im thinkng Swansea have clean sheet potential, therefore i play Sigurdsson over Ulloa.

So who's already planning their strategy to bring Walcott in? Assuming his recovery continues as expected i'm planning a Siggy exit with Walcott coming in to make a power 4 in midfield:

    Fabregas, Walcott, ADM, Sterling

Not trying to be awkward, just understand the reasoning. I've asked a few time this week whether PVA or chambers should start. Every time I ask people choose PVA, I'm trying to work out why. Just checked the bookies, Arsenal are more likely to keep a clean sheet than Sunderland and chambers is more likely to score than PVA. Do people know something I don't?!

I dont agree with the fact that Chambers is more likely to score than PVA, so thats that. Also the London derby often are very high scoring, and that makes bonuspoints for Chambers unlikely. Personally i would play PVA.

Chambers : Marginally higher chance of CS.

PVA : Greater goal threat and a bigger chance for bonus points.

      Reasoning enough?

Also, it looks like you want to play Chambers, maybe just follow your own gut?

Aguero hattie will throw the cat amongst the pigeons today. Expensive, less than 10% ownership and will create the perfect amount of panic that FPL teams all over the place will be performing major surgery to bring him in, resulting in massive gains for current owners.

Seriously considering setting up a PAddy Power account for Utd v West Ham. 7/1 on the Hammers to win is great odds.

If you are a new user, use the account alongside betfair and lay the bet to guarantee a profit.

Havent looked into that. I take it the odds are skewed for new users so baring a draw would come out with a profit?

Personally I would only have 1 big hitting def in order to upgrade attack if needed

Baines and Ivanovic seems too much spent in defence, and Pelle and Ulloa both in seems too little spent up front. But it looks a good team and if those forwards keep pace with the more expensive options you will be laughing. Personally I'd downgrade at the back and have some cash to grab a bigger forward.

Looking ok but would probably drop Ivan and upgrade Ulloa to Welbeck.

Ok lads looks like downgrading the defense and upgrading ulloa to wellbeck seems popular. I had planned to do that but because pelle and ulloa were on good form I thought they have just as much scoring as wellbeck.

Thanks for the input guys 😀

    Good to go?

    Bego (gilks)
Clyne - Chambers - terry (Wisdom, Chester)
    ADM (v) - Fab - Siggy - Sterling (Marney)
    (C)osta - Rooney - ulloa

Rooney, this is your last chance!

Switched Rooney to Pelle, but probably endup having Aquero or Sturridge next week...still a bit worried that it was too early to do, but Pelle vs QPR was just so tempting...

Players are double rising in a single GW the only difference is this season they go from being differentials to being owned by every man and his dog in the space of a week.

I don't have Costa, Pelle, Siggy, Dier, Ivan

Bought ADM at 9.5; Fab in my original team.

No point having a 'me too' team if you want to improve.

Costa is bothering me of course, but happy with my choices.

This weekend and the next one crucial to see who of the forward big hitters are the way to go alongside with Costa for longer term... Aguero, Falcao or Sturridge ? Any views? And then Pelle or Welbeck as a third forwad, probably Welbeck...

Think another mid will replace JWP, in terms of positioning. I'd have to double check last week's line-up though. Koeman fiddles with that midfield constantly.

They are all excellent...I would have Sachez or Welbeck instead of Ramsey, as difficult as it is to say this, as Ramsey such a great player as well! Adm and Sterling are both must haves currently.
