Not mad. I don't see Che keeping a clean sheet though
Start them all
One of the following has to be benched - choose one:
Siggy - Sterling - ADM - Fab - Tadic
Welbz - Costa - Pelle
I'm leaning towards benching Welbz atmI like easy questions 🙂
Wellbeck.
No your not mad, im thinking of something similar , benching Welbz for Moore and playing 4-4-2 with double saints Def and Moreno, Arsenal mid depleted would have struggled at the best of times at Bridge
Nope, perfectly sane. No-brainer in my book Maxwell.
Repost from last page:
Gonna throw this out there once more, any thoughts much appreciated!
A) Ramsey -> Fabregas (will likely do Rooney -> Pelle next week).
B) Ramsey -> Tadic, Rooney -> Aguero (will probably require a -4 and Ramsey out needs to be done tonight due to price drops).I would go B, but transferring Aguero in before the Champions League game is risky. So I would do Ramsey > Tadic now before Ramsey drops then hold off on the Rooney > Aguero move until its clear he is available for the weekends game.........or save the hit and wait a week.
Yeah that's what I was thinking of doing, it's just if Aguero does get injured then I would probably get Pelle instead and therefore would prefer Fab over Tadic. I marginally prefer B longer term (I think), though I'm expecting Fabregas to score well against Arsenal. Guess I need to take a calculated risk. Thanks for the advice!
Did this, thanks
If you're not worried about hits then do A with Roo > Pelle this week too.
Fwiw, I've already done Ramsey + Rooney > Tadic + Aguero for a -4.
Have Pelle so I went Roon + Ram > Aguero and Downing (-4) but would get Tadic if I didn't have Pelle...
Why does that make a difference? They can still both get you points...
Me too.
Thanks
Hah I'm in this spot too pretty much exactly. Except I can afforrd to wait on B) if I want.
Have a feeling we might have missed the boat on Cesc, great player but he seems to mostly offer assists. Well of course not missed the boat, but Tadic is a lot cheaper and offers good assists too. Seems like he's been unlucky not to score so far - http://thefplassistant.blogspot.com.au/
I'm hoping more people will give their input though!Yeah there's so little in the Fab vs. Tadic and the Kun vs. Pelle stat battles, it's been so hard to decide. On one hand I'd like to fall back on Aguero's historic points production and proven finishing ability but then there's also his injury. With Cesc, I'm mostly being swayed by this gameweek, the "script" suggests he'll score against his old club and with Arsenal's injury crisis I think Chelsea could put a few past them.
injury record*
😀 Cheers
Thanks for the advice all, I'm gonna go Tadic in tonight, then get Aguero if he comes through tomorrow unscathed. I will probably captain Costa so I can sort of "cover" Chelsea giving Arsenal a thrashing even without Cesc.
Anyone thought of picking up Lampard yet?
No.
Far from nailed
Nope
i would if he's nailed.
I have....just a thought...but I'm FPL insane 😆
Roo & Ramsey >
A) Pelle & ADM. Leaves 2.1 ITB for Caulker > Baines next week.
B) Kun & Tadic.Very close. A just for me... because of Baines
reason for my question was that i failed to apply grav to my acc. been 2 days now and nothing happened. pretty sure it's one of the two emails in grav that i used..
Make sure the rating in the lowest and the email address in profile.
@TM Can i enter LMS league??
52587-7172
Be quick.Done, Cheers 🙂 !!
I have bad news, you don't pass this round. 33/34 after hits needed. 🙁
ok no prob cheers!! Next tym maybe.
Krul 🙁
Moore van Aanholt Taylor
Sterling ADM Hazard Fabregas Siggy
Ulloa Costa(c)
(Clyne Welbeck Wilson)
good to go for next week providing no injuries? already used my FTYep looks good
Yep.
cheers guys 🙂
I would captain hazard this week, penos + he will be against chambers.
Chambers is no mug
Yeah but dont rate him at all.
Really? Has all the attributes to be a great defender...at the moment he is a bit rash and doesn't stay on his feet enough, but that will come...
Chambers was quality the last day! And all in all a decent young player.
He's been on penalties all season, and he's been up against far worse than Chambers so far...
Best midfielder for £7.5m or less for a week only? Downing?
Siggy (you should have him already)
I do...
Post your MF then to save us all some time 😛
McGeady, Puncheon, Moses
Tadic, Chadil, keep an eye on Mane, Siggy maybe
Thanks for the replies lads, currently considering Puncheon, Chadli and Downing.
Sarj, submitted the article at your request. Should be up tonight(Aus) and sometime in the morning(UK) 🙂
Was really late when I submitted it though...missing a few bits and pieces I edited into my blog.Once again... http://thefplassistant.blogspot.com.au/
😀
Anybody considering Mangala at all? One bad half does not maketh the man I feel. Could be a decent differential if he gets his noggin' on the end of a cross. In the opponents goal that is.
Demi did! He got an own goal and yellow card for it 😆
Ah, but has he transferred him out?
nope. Rather city attack than defense right now. 6 mil seems like an overspend for a defender the way things are shaping up.
Which combo gets more points over the next 3 weeks or so?
1) Moreno and Falcao +4
2) Taylor and Aguero2 IMO and Kun is also captainable
So many variables with that one, flip a coin really imo........2) sets your team up better long term.
I think its very close if Falcao turns out to be who we know he can be. Prob is despite man u scoring a bunch their overall attacking numbers are pretty bad(shots in the box numbers are very low). It could just be varience over the first few games but its something to take note of
2.
Maybe 1, i really like Moreno pick.
Pool looks pretty bad at the back right now. Dear I say Man U like... On paper the fixtures are good but 1,1,1 since I drafted him has made me think twice
Moreno and Falcao +4 but I reckon its close. Pool have great fixtures and I fancy Falcao to start notching a few soon.
Krul
Clyne Wilson Chambo Hutton Wisdom
Fab Sterling Siggy ADM Rambo
Costa Ulloa Roo
Which option do you prefer ?
A Roo, Rambo to Kun, Tadic (-4), keep WC
B Roo, Rambo to Kun, Boyd (-4), get Baines in gw8 with FT
C Roo to Sakho/Valencia (1 week punt) then WC in gw 8
ThanksA. I doubt very much that Baines will see the returns he enjoyed in previous years.
It might be a madness, but considering Newcastle's recent form I kinda want to captain Siggy.
Aye good option
I know, right? However I don't know if I have the balls lol. Sterling is another option.
Form over fixtures for me. Its not a bad to have fun with the C option but this move seems has a very high risk reward ratio.
best replacement for Rooney GW 7? thx
(assuming i might go for the WC gw 8 - 75% CHANCE)
1.pelle tot
2.dzeko avl
3.ulloa BUR
4.welbeck che
5.berahino (!) poolDzeko
add 6.Falcao EVE
1. Great option as he's on form and Tott have Europa mid week
2. Mid week game may effect playing time - decent shout
3. This is the best option for 1 week only
4. Absolutely not
5. NogOT MAXWELL WHAT DO U THINK FOR OPTION6.fALCAO for week ag EVE?
2
Moses went off tonight with a slight knock. He seemed OK in the interview afterwards. No cause for concern right?
Had a blinder and looked their main spark. Ran a lot. Got brought down a lot. Should have had at least another assist for that 'not given' pen. Should be fine by my eyes. And a good differential as a 5th Mid
about to do Ivanovic + Rooney > Moore + RVP for free
😯RVP could be a good variable, may not play though as LVG may re-shape following Rooney's red
RVP is his favorite, he'll play every game
Go on
done did it
http://i.imgur.com/2lCqyB7.jpgLooking good 🙂
That'll tick the differential box for sure. RVP has ownership of less than 70,000!
a hattie vs Everton would do nicely!
% chance Rooney will drop tonight?
Is it bad t follow the herd?
Krul and Elliot they all said
Naismith they all said after he scored a coupe
Begovic no good they said get Forster.
Burney defence great they said
Now they all say get KunThe difference is Aguero is proven
I'll go against the grain then ... Aguero hurt too often.
(Naismith made me a nice profit, however.)In what way was Naismith not proven to be a great goalscorer and Stoke's defense proven to be poor?
Those first two don't go with the latter two.
And Kun is Kun so yeah.hope Kun/Dzeko blank this week !
Who said Elliot?
I was laughing at the folks getting Naismith
Begovic always a decent pick, unlucky not to have cs against Leicester and Hull.
Burnley defence has been great for the price. This isn't actually about results. He's just on one. The first two OK I get it. But the truth is that Forster is a much better pick than Bego, who was lucky to get a cleanie never mind BAPs today. And Burnley defense is great value. I've raked it in with both since my WC three weeks ago.
I prefer Bego to Forster, Stoke's cs will predictably come at home and while Forster may well outscore Begovic after 38 matches, it'll rarely happen that I have him sitting on the bench when he gets 6+, i'll get most of his good days (obviously missed the one at the Etihad though 🙂 )
Nah, Stoke are poor. Have had plum fixtures and if not for the miss of the season would only have the fluke CS to City to show for it so far. This place is so reactionary.
If it was reactionary I would have sold Begovic by now. Look at the Hull game, they were all over them and conceded to pretty much Hull's only shot.
You could look at it that way or you could say they're a team that's not good enough to attack so naively. It's not about how many chances they give up but the quality of the chances they give up. They're basically reliant on the opposing team being both poor and wasteful on the day to get a cleanie. That's not good.
No idea what you're on about. Every team will inevitably give the opposition opportunities in a match, that's just football. Stoke don't give away many, certainly not as many as most. It just so happens that Hull hit them with a suckerpunch and Leicester scored with their one shot on target. The QPR match aside, they've been very tight at the back.
Interesting you forgot to mention everything that has gone right...
1) Don't recall many saying this was a good idea.
2) Was obv not gonna sustain his 1 in 1 but for 5 mil getting 8-10 goals in the season is decent value.
3) Forster wasn't a bad call. CS returns between similar teams tend to even out over the long term
4) Villa also had a good defense according to the CS numbers but a closer look at the stats would tell you they had been very lucky to keep any CS this season. Burney were in the same boat.Hindsights a great thing isnt it? What about bad calls youve made in the past?
I rose a whopping 102 spots overall this week. 😯
A green arrow nonetheless 😉
Better than the alternative no doubt.
So close to the coveted grey arrow! 😀
😆
185k here 🙂
Jumped nearly 300k a few weeks ago. Feels good don't it.
Feels even better when it's almost entirely down to 3 CSs from cheapie options 😀
Indeed. They've been doing the business for me all season. Now if I could just get those high priced strikers to do their part...
152 here
Doesn't exactly feel like progress does it. Although considering this GW it could be a lot worse I suppose.
As long as they are green aye Muppet. 4/5 greenies for me so far, long may that percentage continue
Need to bench 1 of the following: Naylor, Terry, PVA, Tadic, Pelle what dya think
Probably PVA or Terry.
That's the way i'm leaning alright, I always fancy Chelsea cleanies against the big clubs but Sunderland having stoke at home is tempting too
Terry may be..but don't think double up Southampton attack is a good idea..
PVA
Which three would you prefer?
A. Pelle, ADM, Baines
B. Kun, Tadic, CaulkerA
A
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I read on the other page you have Caulker already. So would require 1 less transfer..
I do. This woud be after this GW. If I bring in Aguero & Tadic I won't have the funds to get rid of Caulker for Baines next week.
OK, but the comparison isn't fair then. Because B only requires 2 transfers, right? And you don't say how much cash you'd have left over after B
would*
I'm not saying A isn't better, but you can basically ignore the 2 posts saying A. You've given incomplete/wrong information, of course A is a better combo than B but it requires more transfers and more money (you don't say how much)
Prices changed yet lads? 2.30 no?
In 7 mins or so.
pfft hit transfer just as they changed lol
How's this WC?
Mannone (Heaton)
Baines Clyne Chambers (Taylor Wisdom)
Di Maria Fabregas Sterling Siggy (Boyd)
Costa Dzeko Pelle
Still 0.5m ITB, where do I spend it? Alternatively I could get Aguero and Moore (and lose a second GK) for Dzeko and Baines.looks fine..but bear in mind that Jovetic is back ! could do good or harm to his compatriot..well , wc next GW would be better...
Already hit the button! I figure if he gets rotated he's an easy downgrade to Welbeck.
similar to mine , only that I picked Ulloa instead of Dzeko last week(T.T) , so I am gonna stick to him hoping he will do good for the hit taken last week..
Costa Ulloa Pelle this week..(stick)..performance prediction for this line up?
Well last week was an anti climax. Roll on next week. No 1 by Christmas!
Dropping RVP, Playing Mata in the hole behind falcao and januzaj and Di Maria on wings is the way to bring best from mata(bit chelse type) and the team but LVG is biased towards his compatriot. Especially the wings will look frightening for defenders.
with Rooney out, there's no need to drop RVP
and RVP does the drop deep interchange play just as well as Rooney (if not better)..
Rooney is the one that should arguably be droppedSo you prefer Rvp over Mata/Januzaj??
RVP is a striker...
I'm saying Rooney should be dropped to play Mata with RVP and Falcao up top..
Januzaj is too raw and doesn't deserve to start unless we have injuries as there will rarely be fatigueMy only concern is that playing two out and out forward is bit top heavy + januzaj needs chances coz he has potential. Wat if rogers hadnt given Sterling so much game time, he would not be player he is so early in his career. Anyway good point tho.
tbh though we've seen that they're not out and out forwards..Moyes' tactics isolated RVP but under Fergie he dropped deep into mid and was part of the link-up play..
Falcao also has shown that he enjoys assisting his teammates as much as he might enjoy scoring (when that starts)
I think having a diverse front 3 of that nature is great and dynamic and hard to defend and RVP and Falcao are better strikers than Rooney and Mata is a better #10..
honestly Rooney should be 3rd in the pecking order to play in the hole behind Mata and JanuzajCheers man!! good analysis, but i like rooney coz he is my fab United player 😀
Rooney should have been a striker and only a striker his whole career..would have broken all those goal scoring records by now..but him thinking he could play mid set him back IMO..
Yes his form has dipped with all those different playing positions but he still adds a lot to the team with his work rate and vision.
Last call to do Rooney > Aguero before price changes! My fingers over the trigger, do I....?
Well you going to want to change it to someone
Well idea was to wait until after UCL games tomorrow to see if Aguero makes it through/plays well
too late already
why not wait till after the CL games?
Well I opted to do that in the end. Obviously was a trade off for that vs price changes tonight (just happened)
if you are not short of fund , stick..City have Roma game to go..
tic toc tic toc
ah FFS Baines just rose to 7.0.. really bad timing that. was gonna get him in on saturday 🙁
he hasn't even been transferred in much this week!Yay 😀
Maybe it's a sigh.
What?! FPL towers are monitoring us. They're having a laugh, that's what it is.
Risers: Baines Di Maria Costa Dzeko
Fallers: Ramsey Naismith Osman P Jones Boruc Bruce JanuzajNaismith dropping like a rock.
Really pissed off that Baines rose already. He had nowhere near the required NTI to rise 🙁
Losing 0.1 on Lovren and then Baines' rise means I've lost 0.2 on that move. Damn. The system is so strangeSame with Falcao, dropped after i trasfered him in for Rooney 🙁
Keep holding on, piggy!
yes rooney didn't fall!

I have a feeling Tottenham will struggle this weekend at home to Southampton; shaky form and they typically struggle following a Eurpoean game (though it is at WHL this week).
Think I may play Tadic, Clyne and Pelle and put Welbz on the bench for the Chels v Ars game.
Am I mad?
