Nothing yet, but if fit he will keep scoring points, chambers still in poor defence and could also get replaced once players come back.

I know everyone knows, but this game has such fine margins. If Hazard scores when he's clean through (and therefore assuming no subsequent corner) he moves above Fabregas and looks reasonable value.

As it is, he's struggling to compete and costing his owners both points and value.

    (A disgruntled Hazard owner)

But you are one of the more intelligent ones! For starters you actually watch the games (which puts you ahead of about 80% of the field (including half of the f uckers on here!) and can see the real value.

        The margins are so fine

a couple of weeks back Hazard was just 2 points behind Cesc

since then Cesc has scored and assisted, Hazard has done nowt

One Hazard explosion and he'll close in again

        It's consistency v explosivness

Exactly. It just hurts owning the one who is behind.

(Plus Chelsea should have had a couple more penalties this year, including today).

It was no different last season. Hazard is a streaky player in FPL. You need a lot of luck to catch his good scores with a captaincy.

            Spot on.

Although this year is more frustrating as there wasn't really an alternative last year for Chelsea coverage, whereas half the game own Fabregas.

The very reason I won't own him, fixtures and form don't really matter, it is merely the case of he gets a huge haul one week and nothing the following couple of weeks.

Is he though? His shots per game (and various other stats) aren't great atm. There's clearly explosive potential, but atm Fabregas is leading on value and points. And with corners/fks I think it'll still be a while before Hazard comes to the fore.

your opinion is respected but for me it doesn't take 80% skill to put together a template or near template team. there is a pool of around 100 or so players that are FF suited - it then becomes a matter of a great deal of luck if your picks come off on any given week.

I think that the talk of a template is overrated. Very few people on here have the same team. There's a pool of players that most people own, but there are still a plethora of options and differentials.

Plus, the 'template' team is very reactive - the best players are proactive.

Of course it can but it's easy to make a prediction about a certain period of time. Consistency eventually prevails. You can sit here and say arsenal will finish top 5 and you know ghats gonna happen obviously fpl involved more luck but still

Exactly. You can win or lose an individual hand easily. Over the course of a tournament (/season) the best players will utilise the narrow margins to perform better.

Why do we bother playing if it's all luck?

There's still a large amount of skill over a season (not just an individual match), hence why the top players are consistently good.

Naismith hits the bar and is denied another assist. Hence he's dropping tonight. Fine margins. I've been tearing my hair out all season about Trippier. It's a mystery how he hasn't had a single assist considering he's the most successful crosser in the PL.

Fellow Hazard owner (since GW1). Considered shipping him out a few times, but just watching him play always convinces me to keep. That, and the fact that he's still one of the top midfield scorers this season. And just an explosion or two away from being THE top. Which he's capable of.

He came off early against Leicester, think it's a thigh strain or something, doesn't look too serious, but it's the fixtures turning for the swans causing greater concern

Same dilemma. Stand to lose a lot of TV if I switch him out, but those fixtures are ugly! Currently have 2 FTs and thinking of downgrading him to afford ADM > Sanchez (I have nothing in the bank). Downing maybe.
