The Big Numbers – Gameweek 12

We turn our attentions to the weekend’s nine matches now and delve into the data in our first member’s article of the week. Chelsea, Man City and Tottenham’s goalscoring midfielders arrive on our radar, whilst Swansea’s in-form frontman and Andy Carroll’s impact on West Ham’s style of play are also amongst this evening’s topics.

4 yellow flags, anyone got an idea on their chances?

    1- Baines
    2 - Duff
    3 - Downing
    4 - Sakho

I'm hopeful on 1,3 and 4 cause I have them and I'm not selling.

Just an early look at next week if you'd be so kind. Assuming everyone is fit...

    Forster
    Baines, Bertrand, Naylor
    Haz, Cesc, ADM, Siggy
    Aguero, Pelle, Sakho

    Subs: Boyd, Dawson, Moore
    2 FTs, 1.3 itb

    A: Bertrand + Pelle > up to 6.8 Def + Bony
    B: Bertrand + Pelle > Yun + Costa (c) (Chelsea triple up)
    C: Bertrand + Pelle > up to 4.7 Def + Rooney (c)
    D: Bertrand + Cesc > Yun + Sanchez

Feck me you can make a very strong argument for any of those four choices, Beavis. I like A or C most. A with Terry or C with whoever rotates best with Naylor and Dawson.

Yeah it's been a pain not owning him recently but Arsenal have some tough fixtures up until Xmas. Think he will continue to score well but seems unjustifiable to remove any of the midfielders?

Was just thinking you could always get Cesc back for ADM/Haz or even Sanchez back out if need be. But whilst you haven't got Sanchez it's harder to twist him in with his higher value.

Yeah Sanchez is constantly going up. Have had Cesc from the start though so would lose 0.4 or so on him. Bit painful!

I think this is best long term tbh but as a United fan with our next 2 and Rooney' history of going on hit streaks I am getting tempted by C.

It looks like an opportunity to gamble especially with Costa on 4 yellows.

How many games does Costa have to get through?

I'm tempted by Fellaini in for Chadli.

Sounds stupid but it'd be for two games, set up well enough on the wildcard to have a punt.

Not the worst idea in the world. Now that we have easier fixtures I'd rather see Herrera start but Fellaini probably deserves to so will continue. Could be a decent option for the next few if Chadders is out, otherwise just save. They'll come in handy!

    A) Pelle, Chadli, Clyne -> Costa, Boyd, Shackell (-4)
    B) Pelle, Fabergas -> Costa, 6.3 or less
    C) Pelle, Clyne -> Giroud, Trippier.

Stuck on how to get Costa in, even with 2FT. The main issue is the lack of viable budget midfielders.

I'd wait a couple days and then only transfer those unlikely to play, at least to field 11 players. That means keeping 2 soton players. Baines should be OK from reports earlier today.

Too early to tell for sure

Pro to wildcard this week: It was a terrible week for many many players so therefore it could induce more transfer activity which includes other people wildcarding and taking hits.

    Advice appreciated -

    Adrian - Gilks
    Baines - Clyne - Bertrand - Hutton - Moore
    Sanchez - Fab - Siggy - Tadic - Boyd
    Aguero - Costa - Sakho

    2FT and 0.1 ITB

What would you do with 2FT this week with that squad? Will shift one of the SOU defenders.

    Currently thinking -

    A) Fab, Tadic & Bert > Hazard, Bolasie & Azpi
    B) Fab, Tadic & Bert > Hazard, Oscar & Yun
    C) Bert > Naylor
    D) Something else...

After GW 3 his ICT has been poor (except 1 gw). I just think with these tough fixtures now gone where he wasn't expected to get anything, Swansea will now score goals and he is almost always involved, at least with assists.

With Chadli out I will get Wanyama of the bench to form triple Saints attack alongside Pelle and Tadic. It went well for me against Sunderland.

    Hopefully 8-1 this time 🙂

Sod it. Transfers done, don't feel like thinking about it all week and can't absorb any price changes. Welbz and Pelle out for Rooney (c) and Kane. As if anyone cares.

Cheers UD. I hope so! Firmly on the Kane-train now. I quite like him versus the other budget striker options and think he has proven himself rather nailed at the moment!

Looks to be the case. Am still considering Austin but am finding it hard to go beyond Kane at his price. A bit fearful of Ade but really there's no good reason for Kane to lose his spot

That's what won out in my mind - couldn't see a good enough reason or scenario to see Kane losing his place over the next handful of gameweeks. And if he does, well that's why we get a new transfer every week 🙂

Anyone ever used Chromecast to watch streamed football from laptop on their TV?

Yes. It didn't work at all. Chromecast biggest waste of money I've ever spent. IDK if it was the device, my tv, or my internet connection, but it doesn't stream fluidly and was unwatchable.

I've never tried Chrome cast actually, always plug in an hdmi to my laptop from my TV and stream though, I imagine it's not particularly different.

Is this a stupid question but do you have to keep the laptop open? Lol

Might try that with the HDMI. Been reading about the Chromecast thought I'd ask on here to check public opinion.

If you go on power options and change the settings for what happens when you close the laptop lid (I've got it on do nothing), then it works with it being closed. Except with sky go, there you have to keep it open.

Said it earlier I'll say it again, Jedi is like a half priced Gerard. If only Warnock would stop being a daft jackass and start Zaha weekly Palace have a lot of pens in them between him, Bolasie, and now Gayle. Lots of pace in the box.

    Which is better?

    A- Begovic > Fabinski

    B- Rafeal > Yun

Clyne to score in the 61st min with a bullet header concussing himself in the process. Taken off as a precaution. Then villa to win 2-1 with forster and tadic getting sent off.

    Oh and Pelle blank.
