Will Saylor be fit and playing next week and beyond? I'd like to keep him at this point if possible, but I need to get rid if he's wasted space/money...

Exactly. This is what I did before he got flagged. Now I need to decide whether to cut my losses or get some reward out of it.

Yeah no Chelsea cover is a bit worrying moving forward. Lots in that same boat with a lot of those aforementioned names though.

I fell from 17k to 38k, but I'll take it i guess. Might need to take a hit or two now to fix this mess and get me some more Chelski though

      B

Bony + Siggy is to much Swans att. Would rather have Terry than Oscar for the next fixtures and Downing if fit got good fixtures. Not sure I would pick Ameobi (they got a lot of players coming back). Pick another cheapie (Boyd) or due to tight fixtures in December you could strengthen more areas. Downgrade Haz to Fab and upgrade Ameobi. If you already have Fab that will save you 0.7M or something and your upgraded bench is ready to step in for suspensions/Injuries

Anyway, need to generate 0.3m from somewhere in order to do my transfers, which one looks fine?
    A) Coleman/Baines to Terry/Taylor/Cresswell/Yun
    B) Clyne to Taylor/Yun
    C) Duff to Yun
Thinking of C as it has low chance of backfiring but it gives me 0m in bank :/

No because other players on your team are playing and may get injured. Can't think either Yun or Duff are going to change in price this week so I'd wait until after Friday pressers to do the trade.

no probs, i'd love a punt on bony too with juicy fixtures but much like players in his price bracket (lukaku, welbeck, pelle) the inconsistency is head wrecking, so i may just go with ings and upgrade my weak but efficient MF

MF has been so strange this year- it started off looking so promising but now silva, ozil, mata, ramsey, nasri, sterling, gerrard, lamela and to a lesser extent eriksen, all have problems in one form or another.

it's the one position where i think the options are limited barring fab, haz, ADM and sanchez, so i've been happy to load up elsewhere and try build TV before WC.

tbh it was a 55/45 between ivan and azpi and i just went with the extra goal threat, may not be end up being worth the extra £1.2m but that's the beauty of this game. knew it wouldn't affect my upcoming transfers so just went with it.

What do you think about losing ADM for Haz?? I was really considering it this week but Angel was so dangerous against Arsenal

Man U have the better fixture and ADM keeps doing OK so again I wouldn't do that.

I would like Hazard too. Although sideways the easiest player to justify dhipping is Fabregas. But there always seems more important things to do.

    Hello all,

I've had Clyne Bertrand double up for 8 weeks and it's been a beautiful thing.. and tonight teaming up for goal and assist.. poetry..
    can't continue though surely?
MCI ars MUN isn't looking amazing for cleanies.. but maybe they will just continue the attacking returns.. all those teams are vulnerable.

Thinking selling of one or the other for Azpi.. anyone in the same boat.. they've been impossible to seperate for weeks. only 2 points in it and it's almost certain I'll choose the wrong one.

    Clyne 2G 1ass 7 bonus 70pt
    Bertie 1G 2ass 6 bonus 68pt
Bertie's got the better underlying stats and lower ownership..
Clyne would be harder to buy back if i needed to..

Would appreciate any help with this.. even if it's just to say flip a coin you smug *******.
    cheers

i'd hold clyne if i was you. lots of brilliant options to replace him with, azpi just one of them.

u may laugh and no i'm not a man utd fan but blackett/mcNair are viable options depending on gametime (not sure as to the pecking order in all honesty).. cresswell, trippier, Naylor or the more lucrative package of ivanovic.

Flip a coin. Seriously though, there's nothing between them. If it helps a greater proportion of the top 10k teams have Clyne relative to Bertrand. So Bertrand is slightly cheaper (?) and may offer the greater differential.

ah.. interesting.. that could sway me.. bonus would be ML rival below me also has Bertie.
are there any resources for finding things like that out (other than clicking on everyone's team 🙂 )

I was actually thinking before the game that their attacking potential had pretty much disappeared and all the points were coming from CSs. Then they do the assist/goal combo.

Still, I think I will sell at least one before the Soton fixtures turn, possibly both. I wouldn't be surprised if their prices dropped enough in the next 7 or so GWs to have lost enough value to only cost maybe 0.1 more to get them back (I had Clyne at 5.0 and Bertrand at 5.3). So I'm tempted to try to stay ahead of the curve and lose them both.

I'm heading out on a roadtrip and need to set a captain for the weekend. Who would you select at this time?

    A) Costa - sun
    B) Aguero - sou
    C) Sanchez - wba
    D) Di Maria - HUL
    E) Fabregas - sun

    Krul, Gilks
    Baines, Bertrand, Chambers, Hutton, Wisdom
    Fabregas, Sterling, Sigurdsson, Chadli, Marney
    Costa, Aguero, Austin

    1 FT. 3.4m ITB.

Thinking Sterling --> Sanchez towards the end of the week. What are your thoughts?

I would like to have Rooney this week and believe he may well be the best captain choice. But you can't really justify losing Aguero or Costa can you?

Rooney will always be in the BAPs even with only an goal. And Costa's been wasteful as hell of late anyway. It's no contest.

if costa is returning 6ppg per game, it might be matched by fab who is consistently doing that..so u could take a punt..esp the tied cash is not too much. of cos nothing can stop costa from exploding again

yeah its 2ft wasted on that. u have to captain rooney and hope he gets double haul in at least 1 of the game and hope costa not getting >6pts. that's why its not preferable..though if u really want to try to hit top 10k fast u could try..not the worst punt imo

have a feeling there's gonna be big turn arounds in many a mini league over the next 2 weeks with costa and aguero not looking like amazing captaincy options, and the mass exodus of s'hamp players inevitable. can definitely see rooney, bony, austin, and ings turning up as big differentials, just need to get the choice right. anyone have input?

    1. Not Irish
      • 10 Years

Rooney and Bony. Avoid budget options unless they're named Berahino.

      1. andyd

you don't fancy austin at all with everything seemingly on his side? fixtures, form, team looking far better.. or u just think he's gonna dry up?

        1. Not Irish
          • 10 Years

He won't be any more reliable than any of the other budget options. QPR just failed to score against a decent at best Newcastle side and Leicester just kept a cleanie against Sunderland.

Yet people are acting like he's a great captain option. Bizarre.

Still only ever fancied Sakho and Berahino in that bracket although Ings is interesting. But Sakho looks like a rotation risk and obviously has the injury concern. And Ings... Who knows although he had a great record last season in the Championship.

austin has 4 in his last 4 and that was leicester's only cleanie of the season against a woeful s'land team.. plus newc had 3 cleanies in their 4 games before holding qpr and are obviously in brilliant form so austin can surely be forgiven 😛 anyone that has watched him this month will know that he could've/should've had more goals but fact is he didn't take them. i don't think i'd give him the armband even if i did get him in, but he has to be in the converstion.

i think i've just persuaded myself to get him in haha 🙂

    Guzan
    Baines* Dummett Azpi
    Chadli* Hazard Sanchez Downing*
    Costa Aguero Sakho*

    Bench: Foster Hutton, Moore, Obertan*

    A) Chadli / Sakho --> Siggy / Austin for -4pts

    B) Foster / Downing / Sakho --> Myhill / Siggy / Austin for -8pts

    C) Other suggestion?

Just read this on the Mirror. 😯

West Ham are preparing to sue the FA over the mishandling of Stewart Downing's injury while on England duty. The winger was given a pain-killing injection in order to face Scotland, but then missed the Hammers' league defeat to Everton as a result.
