    Need to make some big changes, team is a bit of a shambles at the moment.

    Begovic*
    Baines*, Clyne, Chambers
    Sanchez, ADM, Downing*, Boyd*
    Costa, Aguero, Pelle*

    Elliot, Moore, Saylor, Wanyama

    1.6 ITB 2 FT

    Begovic -> Guzan
    Baines -> Taylor
    Downing -> Hazard
    Boyd -> Siggy
    Pelle -> Austin

    For a delightful -12

    Running with the assumption that Downing and Baines are out for next week. I also think they might struggle for 3 games in 10 days.

      Can you just afford Baines --> Taylor, Downing --> Hazard?

      Don't get rid of Baines. Don't get rid of Downing. Even if they ARE confirmed out for this weekend (they're not) I'd think twice about getting rid.

      I'd change Bego and Pelle as first priority, and try to upgrade Boyd. He should be your 5th mid not your 4th. Can you get Siggy, Austin, and Begovic > Fabianski? He looks better prospect than Guzan

    Bottom of last page; sorry for the bump (I'm going to be away from a PC for awhile; so need to make changes tonight):

    I'm finally shipping Shackell for a better defender. Who is a good target for £5.4?

    I already have Bertrand.

    How's my team looking ladies and gents?

    Krul (Schmeichel)
    Baines, Azpi, Chambers (Wisdom, Yun)
    Sanchez, Haz, Siggy, Chadli (Boyd)
    Aguero, Rooney, Austin

    P.S. Muppet Rage United convinced me to take the punt on Rooney over Costa 😉

          Aye, good pick. Was about to say 😉
          Both good moves, who will have it "easier" vs the City backline? The marking will be interesting & we'll see who has the easier route into goal.

        Interesting front 7 that, I'd wait for more news on Chadli's fitness before making the move.
        Also w/ UCL games this week to consider I'd wait as well 'til Thursday minimum .
        I think Rooney will definitely get you back those points especially if you captain him, but in your situation I'd be more worried about Mane's goal threat than Pelle's.

          Thanks Zasa, that front 7 is always causing me headaches... A lot of transfers lately to try and stay ahead of the points, I'm just lucky my (C) picks have been giving me green arrows really.

          I really like what Mane offers after watching a few Soton games but he just can't capitalise... Pelle will probably drop this week as well I'd say.. It's a tough one.

          Guess if Chadli looks out for a while could take an 8 point drop for Pelle --> Roo, Chadli --> Siggy as I don't have a (C) this week

            Hmm, wouldn't do that for -8 personally. Too big a risk, & could backfire greatly if Pelle manages even one goal. I think one hit would suffice, especially of Chadli is injured for sure

      Content would be the word for me, the last ITB my team crumbled to pieces & those of us w/o Aguero, Tadic or Sanchez were punished. It was the anomaly of all high scoring GW's.
      Now after this GW, many people left unscathed. Low penalty for players a little behind the curve, (i.e no Costa, Aguero, Sanchez, Baines) .

      Looking ahead to to Gw13, all of those I listed plus others templates have great fixtures & some have deadly home games, waiting to punish those of us w/o them. This could be United's limelight to push through 4 goals in one. The good teams, I feel, will be rewarded ten fold this w/e

      No offence, but it's impossible to answer than with limited information. Of course on the face of it we're gunna say Costa or Rooney. But that depends on what sacrifices you'd have to make in the rest of your team, how many hits etc.

      I say this to everyone, just post your squad, bank balance, and number of free transfers. Otherwise the answers you DO get to posts like this are completely meaningless and should be ignored

          Well, I'd probably be looking at replacing one of Forster or Bertrand as much as Pelle. Foster at £4.5m is too expensive as a backup keeper btw, at least with a medium priced guy like Forster. You could do Forster>Guzan/Krul at some point and rotate with Foster, whichever combo works best. Given you have 2 playing keepers, this probably isn't urgent though.

          Defence is fairly weak with 3 cheapos, I'd be looking at the likes of Azpil. Your midfield is strong though obv, Downing almost a too good 5th mid!

          Ideally you wanna do Pelle > Costa, but I don't know where you'd get the money. Would mean downgrading ADM but he has good fixtures coming up. So maybe you're gunna have to look at a mid-priced striker like Bony? Or you can hang on, sort out your other problems, and keep your eye on Giroud if he wins his place back?

          Sorry that's a bit all over the place, it's a tricky spot. But some food for thought....

          Tbh, you might have missed your chance to get Costa. Diame > Wanyama would have been the move, leaving you an extra £1.5m or so. Looks tough now, but not end of world don't think he's essential. And Siggy is great to have

        Hope we make the cut. # Fingers crossed

      Baines Azpi Chambers Hutton Clyne. I think my defence is solid going forward. Need to downgrade I think. Clye a bit of a luxury 3rd sub there. Though he's earned a rest 😆

        Indeed. 😆

        I suppose that's a bit overkill but I look at it as an excuse to let Moore rot and have Naylor as a handy 433 option or super sub.

        Still probably overkill eh. And I don't want to sell both of Clyne and Berty anyway.

        But then the question becomes Coleman or Azpi. 😯

        Has scary potential. Not sure about doubling up with Coleman though. Probably too much money spent at the back.

  12. WHY ALWAYS MESUT?

    9 years, 6 months ago

    Begovic - McCarthy
    Clyne - Chambers - Moore - Hutton - Dummett
    Fabregas - ADM - Sanchez - Downing - Boyd
    Aguero - Costa - Kane

    Got 3.1m ITB with 1 FT.

    What would you rather do:

    a) Spend it on an upgrade to Downing. Can do up to 9m (so long term possibly Walcott - maybe someone else in the short term).
    b) Spend it upgrading the defense. One of Clyne / Moore to Azpi.
    c) Take a hit and do a bit of both (assuming Downing is out injured).

      if u want to make a transfer..there is no good replacement for downing except siggy..so its either siggy or wait for me. Kane is on form so not a bad starter too if downing injuried.

      baines is injuried currently, u can still field 3 def this week so i do not see the immediate need to get a def. Besides azpi, u could do moore->taylor if u want and ride out his 5th yc if needed.

      nevertheless i will probably save a FT.

    Would like some advise on what to do with this lot:

    Guzan
    Baines* Dummett Azpi
    Chadli* Hazard Sanchez Downing*
    Costa Aguero Sakho*

    Bench: Foster Hutton, Moore, Obertan*

    A) Chadli / Sakho --> Siggy / Austin for -4pts

    B) Foster / Downing / Sakho --> Myhill / Siggy / Austin for -8pts

    C) Other suggestion?

      depending on injury situation u can make ur transfer accordingly. too early to plan...it could be any of the combinations that are out this gw.

    RMT please (1FT, 2.6 ITB):

    DDG. Gilks
    Jagielka, Bertrand, Oshea, Coloccini*, Duff*
    Fabregas, Sanchez, Siggy, Downing*, Marney
    Aguero, Costa, Austin

    Currently, the defense is in shambles and Downing is still a doubt.

    Will probably hold onto Pelle through the weekend hoping to see some tenacity vs a big team but should he falter, I'm thinking either Bony / Giroud / Jovetic ( order of preference ) through to the New Year.

      if u want bony..u should get him this very gw against palace..i will want to have the best fixtures to gain the most out of my transfer. Pelle has close to no chance of scoring against villa..so i would say its time to sell

        Odds are certainly in Bony's favor...I didn't mention earlier that I have 2 transfers in the bank and am prioritizing Ivan > Yun to fund Mane > Hazard for this next gameweek...

        Team would be:

        Krul

        Baines Coleman Clyne Wisdom Yun

        Oscar ADM Hazard Siggy Lampard

        Costa Berahino Pelle

        Forster & Clyne ➡ Guzan & Azpi leaves me 0.0 in the bank at present....If Pelle goes down in price and i lose 0.1 in valuein him i will still be able to afford my Guzan / Aspi move yeah ❓

    Sanchez - Fabregas - Chadli - Tadic - Boyd
    Pelle - Welbeck - Aguero

    Im thinking Tadic, Welbeck, Pelle -> Sigurdsson/Downing, Costa, Berahino/Sakho/Austin for -4. Next week I can work on the defence with 0.8itb.

      Woah, yeah, that backline is shaping up great TFF. Midfield also in good form.
      Now, my one worry would be lack of AdM or Rooney. I feel either one would better your team tenfold.
      I think an investment up tome would be urgent after this GW.

      Sup TFF. Was shocked at the front line til you corrected but still...

      Don't really love the 2 budget picks...but i can see why you've done it - Hazard Fab more nailed on than Costa over the busy period. But Kane could see the odd benching as well though seems nailed on for now.

      What were your transfers? Kane in i'm assuming.

        Haha yep I know going with that frontline is risky but I do have that extra 1 million in the bank in case Kane doesn't come good. My transfers this week were Tadic and Pelle to Hazard and Kane (-4) . With the fixtures to follow and the vast improvement in Hazard's stats, I think he will be border line essential (although I hate that term!) in the weeks to come 🙂

        How're you doing this season? 🙂

          Ah the ol Pelle/Tadic > Hazard/Kane combo. Hazard's been knocking on the door for weeks, was considering AdM > Hazard this week but had to be for a hit, so I held off. Not sure what to do now with AdM & Hazard. my 2 big hitters in mid are AdM and Sanchez.

          I'm doing okay mate. Removed my link cos I noticed ML rivals were in the FFS league...was wondering how they got so good. Got up to dizzying heights of 4k last week (dizzying for me at least), dropped to 6k with 41 this week.

          But 2 FTs to mull over...

        Nice, thats the one I'm receiving 🙂

        Its a really tight trade, given that Yaya is away at ACON in January, and Navas should get more game time as a result (and has been playing well). Gerrard's set pieces are always a given as well. It was a tough call but I think it was right for both sides with our respective teams.

      Probably A. But sorry, not too clued in on long term prospects of Haidara.

      I feel Gerrard will start to see the odd benching soon.

        Haidara has poor fixtures and is as good as a free agent to me really.

    Aight boys, it was a tough GW for me but managed to get 48 points. So what’s the status on baines and chadli?

    Fabianski / Jakupov
    Clyne Bertrand Baines* / wisdom moore
    Fab ADM Cadli* Oscar / Boyd
    Aguero Pelle Austin
    1FT and 0.3 itb

    Have feeling that Soton would beat city, I am defo changing Cadli to Siggy. Is it worth it changing Baines/Bertrand to Naylor?

    Cheers boys

      yes Chadders to Siggy looks good, would wait with Baines though unless he is confirmed out for long

    Forster
    Baines - Clyne - Chambers
    Fabregas - Sanchez - Siggy - Chadli
    Aguero - Pelle - Sakho

    McCarthy Downing Wisdom Moore

    Had a poor GW with Downing, Moore, Baines, Chadli and Sakho out!

    I'll probably ship Forster for Guzan and the other may be:

    a) Clyne --> Naylor/Azpi/Caulker

    b) Pelle --> Bony

    Would love to get Rooney/Costa for Pelle but not sure the best way for it.

    People's thoughts greatly appreciated!

        Yeah, got rid of welbeck. He had the funds to get Baines so prob used that for Roonpig.

    It seems to be pretty calm and full of helpful posters around these parts right about now so would you all mind helping me out with this dilemma?

    Forster (McCarthy)
    Clyne Chambers Cresswell
    Fabregas Hazard Siggy Yaya (Mane)
    Welbeck Costa Sakho
    2FT, 0.4 ITB

    I think I need to really commit to that power 5 in midfield and I think doing a move like Mane, Welbeck and Clyne/Cresswell > Yun, Kane, Sanchez -4 would accomplish that. Any thoughts?

      I like the Mane and Welbeck exits and think Clyne is a season keeper, but that depends on when you bought him. Not sold on Kane just yet as Spurs also have Everton and Chelsea next...could you stick with Sakho and still afford Sanchez?

        The last line confused me a little bit? With the proposed transfer I could stick with Clyne (whom I got in preseason) and if you arent sold on Kane then I was also considering Ayoze instead...perhaps even ahead of the Spurs man. Do you think thats a good move to make though? Or do you have any other suggestions?

      did you confuse Yun with Kun? 🙂

      No plans for Kun? Yaya Welbs > Siggy Kun surely?

        I already own Siggy and my price range if I were to Yaya and Welbeck > Kun and ______ would be a 5.4 mid

          shit sorry missed that, my bad. Probably have to look at the Hull mid at that price range, or someone that rotates well with Mane.

          Given you would have 4 bighitters with Aguero and the added captaincy option, I think it would be a good trade. Most have 4 bighitters anyway, and I think that's quite key

          4 of Hazard/Sanchez/AdM/Fab/Costa/Aguero

            Hmm thanks for this definitely something to think about, i'm now looking at Bolasie for 5.4
