With a single goal in his last six league appearances, Alexis Sanchez’s debut season in the Premier League seems in danger of grinding to a halt. After serving up 12 strikes and seven assists in the opening 21 Gameweeks, the Chilean’s displays made him a must-have for Fantasy managers but, in spite of Arsenal’s late surge up the table, his recent output has been minimal.

There’s no disputing the fact that Sanchez’ downturn has coincided with the return to action of Mesut Ozil. The German has started each of the last seven Gameweeks and managed two goals and five assists over that period, whilst Olivier Giroud has developed a source of consistency which has harvested six strikes and a trio of assists in his previous eight outings.

Despite his price of 11.4 in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, Sanchez is still the third most popular midfielder – only Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling currently sit in more sides. With some of his 30% ownership starting to scour the market for alternatives, we delve into the data to asses his displays over the two time frames in order to ascertain just what has gone wrong.

    Should Di Maria start for United?

    In the match against Tottenham, United looked like they were actually playing Football. Mata, Carrick had a good game with Rooney as Forward and Fellaini as CAM. Young is in Form, and Blind and Herrera are also doing well.
    So does the inclusion of Di Maria spoil the balance of the team and should he start against Liverpool?

    I need Foster's replacement, but he needs to have a game in GW 33, as my other keeper is Panti.

    I've shortened myself to 3 options:

    A. Forster - most expensive; already have Clyne too; they still have sth to fight for
    B. Fabianski - may be good for saves points too; good fixtures and I do not have any SWA in my team
    C. Begovic - the cheapest one out of those 3; rotates nicely with Panti; nothing to fight for though

      I think city could be shite this weekend with doubt over the managers future and a loss to Barca and Burnley. I considered benching Silva for Austin

    Hey FFS familia.

    Given Wenger saved Bellerin for the CL game vs Monaco and he played well, whipping in several crosses throughout the night, do you think he will start vs Newcastle?

      It's all really up in the air. Depends on how knackered he is. FWIW. He seemed very much first choice till now.

      And to add to things, I think Debuchy is back training or something like that.

        I still think Bellerin would play. New (Away) and Liverpool (Home) in the next two.

        I would look to get him out for GW33 though as Arsenal do not play.

        Remember Wenger is very very careful with players returning from injuries. Debuchy will have several sub appearances before being back in the 11. We will get our cue then.

          Bellerin is first choice but Wenger not scared to rest him hence Chambers played v hammers, no need to rest for Newcastle therefore will prob play, need to go after that though, poor fixtures and Debuchy back sooner or later
