Fantasy Indian Premier League 2015

After the fun and frenzy of the cricket World Cup, I present to you the Fantasy IPL 2015. The tournament gets under way on the 8th of April and cricket and Fantasy sports fans in general can register for the Fantasy IPL game here. Upon doing so, you’ll be sent a verification email which you must click on to complete registration and create your team. Below is a list of the rules, including how scoring and transfers work, and at the end, you can find the code to join the FFScout league for the Fantasy IPL game.

THE RULES

SELECTING AN XI:

For Tournament Mode and Match Mode, you have 1 million Credits to build a squad of 11 players. Each player has been assigned roles (batsman, all-rounder, wicket keeper, bowler), and a price (ranging from 60,000 Credits to 110,000 Credits).

    • Squad Balance:
    • four or five batsmen.
    • At least one all-rounder.
    • Exactly one wicket keeper (you can pick variable role wicket keepers as batsmen)
    • At least two bowlers.
  • Team Spread: Not more than six players from any one ICC Cricket World Cup team.
  • Overseas Limit: You can pick a maximum of four overseas players in your squad.
  • Uncapped Quota: Your squad must have at least one uncapped player. An uncapped player is an Indian cricketer who has not played in any ODIs, Tests or T20 Internationals.
  • Once you have selected a squad, you can pick any one player from your XI to be the Power Player. Your Power Player earns you double points, so he can make a big difference to your score. Your XI will start earning points from the next match.
  • Remember, for Match Mode, you need to select a new XI for each match. You have to select your squad, and choose your Power Player before the first ball of a match is bowled. Winners will be declared for each match based on the points scored.

SCORING

Batting Points

  • Base Score: 1 point per run.
  • Impact Score: 2 points per six, -5 for a duck.
  • Milestone Bonus: 10 points for every 25 runs scored.
  • Pace Bonus: Runs Scored – Balls faced.

Bowling Points

  • Base Score: 20 points per wicket.
  • Impact Score: 1 point per dot ball, 20 points for a maiden over.

Fielding Points

  • Catch: 10 points.
  • Stumping: 15 points.
  • Direct Hit: 15 points.
  • Run Out: 10 points for each player involved.

Bonus Points

  • Player of the Match: 25 points.
  • Victory bonus: 5 points for victory in League Stage. 10 points for victory in Playoffs.
  • Milestone Bonus: 10 pointsfor the 2nd wicket, 10 points for each subsequent wicket.
  • Pace Bonus: 1.5 x Balls – Runs conceded. If it is positive, it is doubled.

CHANGING YOUR SQUAD

Substitutions

Before the tournament: Unlimited subs.

Match 1 to Match 56: 75 subs.

After Match 56 and before Qualifier 1: Unlimited subs.
Qualifier 1 to Final: 10 subs.

LOCK IN, POWER PLAYER & UNCAPPED SUBS

  • Teams are locked when the first ball of a match is bowled.
Changes made after the first ball of a match is bowled will not affect points earned in that match. So if you drop a player after the first ball of the match is bowled, he’ll still earn points for you in that match.
  • For the Daily Challenge, you can make unlimited substitutions till the first ball of the first match of the day is bowled. You cannot make any changes to your squad for that day after the first ball of the day is bowled.
  • You can change your Power Player as many times as you want. So remember to change it for every match.
  • Every match, you can bring in one uncapped player into the squad without it counting as a substitution. So, picking an uncapped player for each match is a great strategy.

STEALTH MODE

Every hotly contested league has a few crucial matches, when you’re making critical substitutions and trying to earn as many points as possible. In such cases, hiding your squad changes from opponents adds a massive strategic advantage.

Stealth Mode is a feature that lets you do exactly that. You can activate Stealth Mode in the Confirm Substitutions panel in the Change Squad page.

Once activated, other users will not be able to see your current squad. Instead, when they visit your page, they will see the squad and updated time for the previous match. There will be no indication that you are in Stealth Mode, it will simply look like you’ve made no changes since the previous match.

If you are in Stealth Mode, you can make any number of changes and none of them will be visible. Your new squad is revealed only after the next lock-in.

You can activate Stealth Mode for any five matches of your choice, from Match 2 onwards.

SCHEDULED SUBSTITUTIONS

There may be days on which you are unable to make substitutions because you may be travelling, stuck in a meeting or stranded on a desert island. In such situations, scheduling your substitutions beforehand is a big relief.

The Scheduled Substitutions feature lets you schedule changes one match in advance, by clicking on the “Schedule Substitutions” link on your home page. You can also review or cancel scheduled subs from your homepage.

You can only schedule subs for the match after the next one. So if the next match is Match 5, you can schedule squad changes for Match 6.

All Scheduled Substitutions for a match will be automatically performed after the lock-in of the previous match.

Warning: If you have subs scheduled for a match, you cannot make changes to your squad unless you cancel those scheduled subs.

You can also choose to activate Stealth Mode along with your Scheduled Substitutions.

The Scheduled Substitutions feature can be used any number of times.

In Match Mode, you choose a new squad for each match. You can make unlimited changes to this squad and the Power Player till the first ball of the match is bowled.

The code to join the FFS league is 17538.

I’d be happy to help with potential starting elevens and if you need help scouting Indian players.

Punjab has 2 games coming up close to each other. Dunno if I should plan on bringing Maxwell in for those.

He showed glimpses of form today. Is he back then?

I don't have many transfers left to play with. So could only get McCullum for the CSK games coming up or Maxwell.

So if I get Mccullum for the game tomorrow then I would be locked out of Maxwell as Punjab have their game between the 2 CSK games and I'll be maxed out on overseas spots.

Rival leading at the moment and has Maxwell(though may drop him to buy RCB boys tomorrow).

What do I do? McCullum or Maxwell?

    Help please. 🙁

IMO you can stick with Maxwell.
      Pros:
Under Less pressure with nothing to play for
Advantage of bowling an over or 2 if they stick with same lineup
      May save a transfer
      Cons:
BMac always has a higher % ownership. A big performance can really pull you down.

McCullum is playing at Chennai and Raipur, both are not batsmen friendly.
Maxwell plays at Mohali which is more batting friendly.

      I'd go with Miller though.

      ATB 🙂

going with Raina as PP i guess just like AB was due a big knock Raina too has to deliver a big inning, thinking today will be his day.

Raina (PP), BMac, Negi, Ashwin n Hooda.

No point in adding RR players as they play too just one match after this one and that too next saturday.

Seems like everyone had a good weekend! Well done boys, the FFS League on the edge of the top 50 now and keep it going Perch!

Yeah, another great weekend. AB pp was special . Hoping for a big opening partnership , with no Henriques in my team.

Maxwell (PP) taking a punt on him. As per cricinfo preview "Glenn Maxwell has hit 14 sixes in two games against Sunrisers at a strike rate of 212.30. It's the most sixes he has hit against any one team in T20s"

Ha , yes have moved up from around 69 k after first week or so . PPs been good last 2 weeks and a couple of differentials .

AB pp yesterday was divine ( his batting too)

Forgotten who you are Bun, remind me please ?

That's it. 1 or 2 correct PP's can make a huge difference. I went Henriques PP as he seems like a differential in this game.

AB's inning was beautiful. Didn't even seem to break sweat, just swatted everything away.

One more can't hurt. (I was setting up multiple fantasy teams at the time)

Ugh. In EPL i have dropped from 3k to 20k since Christmas. At least had Kun (c) and Silva this weekend.

2nd year for me in IPL, been watching most years. Plenty of time to go 8 PP chances after this game. RCB v SRH could be huge.

Bravo did this 2 or 3 years ago didn't he. Was purple cap i think. That dismissal of Kohli was one of the best things i've ever seen. Yep. Play it easy Moises bat for 8-10 and let people hit around you, then step it up. Shikar was great to start, just seems like him and a few others starting to get tired. It's a long Tourney.

After losing Trott he would be perfect as someone with experience as well. I guess it depends on the dressing room issues from before. Mind you Strauss has already proved he will do what he wants!

Not getting my hopes up on a KP recall mind, still remember Strauss calling him a 'ctnu' live on air during a game 😆

            Banter! 😀

Yeah, I'm not getting my hopes up either. I'll just keep watching Root try and drag us out of situations!

    Heriques PP has been glorius.

Rival not going for him has been a major help as well. 😀

      Got Warner as well.

Points galore. Closing in on 700 points for this match.

Still 700 odd points off him after this game I think.

Lost ground yesterday with him going AB PP and me with Gayle PP. 🙁

But gonna give it a real go in the last few games with differential PP.

All mind games between us now. We both keep changing our PP till the very last moment trying to outfox each other. 😀

Nail biting finish coming up in my ML.

Motm ? Should be Warner surely? But Henriques got to be in with a chance surely

      Yeah , prob Warner

      Warner I think.

1 more wicket for henriques would have probably tilted it in his favour.

Reckon its Warner unless Henriques pulls off some Bravo/Du Plessis kinda catches.

Kings XI have nothing to lose . Think they should open with Miller.
Comes in every game with no hope left

Bring Maxwell in in the Russel type role

He likes a few balls to play himself in . Every game so far they have been so far behind he has had to try and attack from ball one , to his detriment

Kinda the same for Bailey. The top order has let them down hugely.

It was between Henriques or Miller , didnt make a difference really at the end.

Already Have Iyer, Z Khan, BMac And Raina for tmoz but feel I need one more out of Bravo or Duminy who would you go for can only have one ?

    1. KING KOUNDER

Bravo mate, but see the pitch, if its a belter and DD bat first then Duminy.
If CSK bat first, Bravo, he is bowling well at the end.

this. But I would go Bravo even if batting second
