Please use this article to post your Rate My Team (RMT) queries and any questions regarding team selection and our panel will join the discussion to provide input on as many as possible.

The surgery will open run from 9pm until 11pm.

Here’s some quick house rules to read before you post:

  • Please do not spam post – we will scan the pages and try to address as many queries as possible. Spamming your post will get them removed so please be patient.

    Gutted I've missed the timings, would have really appreciated some advice from the best fantasy brains in the planet.

    been reading all other RMT's and taking notes on all advice
    feel like i have good blance for first few gameweeks

    Mignolet / Ruddy

    Clyne / Azi. / Kosc. / Cedric / O Shea

    Ozil/ Hazard/ Milner / Larsson / Wanyama

    Pelle/ Wilson/ Rooney

    Any advice?
    i would like to play depay but is it wasteful having two utd attacking players?

      Would be concerned about double Liverpool at the back.

      I'd downgrade Mignolet - cheap keepers and save points seems better value .

      I also don't usually double up on attacking players early in the season.

      Stick with Rooney and see how depay gets on before drafting him in.

    RMT - Finally settled on what I think is a plan...

    Schmeichel / Butland
    Azpi. / Mert. / Cedric / Mings / 4.0
    Hazard / Sterling / Hendo / Wally / Bentaleb
    Pelle / Rooney / Wilson

    Plan is Wilson > Sakho week 1 (1 itb)
    Then save up FT to downgrade Sterling and do Rooney > Aguero for week 4

    Some concerns about upgrading Walcott to Sanchez and no Utd cover from week 4 onwards, but you cant have everything.

      I'd do the following:

      Mertesacher to 4.5
      4.0 to 4.5
      then I know others may not agree but I'd have Silva and Ozil over Walcott and Sterling myself, feel free to disagree on this though.

        I've been chopping and changing between Silva/Sterling and Ozil/Caz/Wally actually. Those are the two I've not really settled on.

        Perhaps I'll wait til after the Community Shield at the weekend...

        Depends on the time period. Given Aguero's absence sterling may have more attacking potential initially.

    EXPLANATIONS: I know I dont have Aguero, Sanchez and Hazard but I believe that my team is flexible enough to bring them in if needed (when they are ready/have big hauls for hazard). Not going to rotate my keepers as the Foxes have good fixtures barring Spurs and Arsenal (save points). I am aware I have Saylor, I need that 0.5 as I want Henderson>Ritchie / Sakho>Deeney however you see it. Will be my bench folder as O'Shea covers Cedric,Azpi and Kosc well till GW 6. Likewise, I am aware I have Surman instead of Wanyama (Price changes), not really concern with it as its my bench folder.

      Ruddy/Butland give you good rotation option. Im not entirely convinced with palace defence. Padrew is not really known for his clean sheets.

      Rooney concern is with me as well. He hasn't shown any FPL worthyness on tour so far. Been largely disappointing if im frank enough. You could probably move do Rooney-> Giroud/Kane and Move bentaleb to young, will probably give you both United and Spurs cover or doubling up on Arsenal as they have great fixtures. you could use that cash on Milner/Defense as well if you dont want a 5th Mid rotation option

      You could also Walcott -> Ozil ( Frankly walcott at this stage is an expensive punt) Ozil has shown great form on preseason and looks like this could be his season. Money saved again can be on the 4th/5th mid or defence.

    Hi folks.

    Aguero in.

    No throw away 4.5 midfielder because there's uncertainty over Agueros fitness but I don't feel like my team is suffering from this.

    How do you rate it?

      not entirely convinced with united display so far, mata might be risky, but i think you have enough cover.

      Bojan, Sakho dont really yell FPL points, but i get the sacrifices we need to make for aguero and they are regular starters.

      Apart from that, i think thats pretty good.

      Walcott's a massive risk for me. Not many arse mids you can rely on starting. If you can afford alexi then get him imho

          He'll prob come off the bench the first few games actually as no real pre season. You will know more after the Charity Shield this weekend. Sterling is a solid shout i think

    My question is that I have £1m ITB. I can't see a significant upgrade in any position for £1m apart from Cedric Soares for Jenkinson so is it worth keeping the £1m for future transfers?

        Yeah I've got 2 plans, but one involves losing rooney and Milner, and the other involves losing Mata and downgrading 2 defenders to the bargain basement!! If Rooney starts scoring straight out of the gate I will have a tricky decision on my hands...

      Borus is not a secure starter. Too much cash invested in defence - downgrade and invest in attack. Also three United, and Three ARS is OVERKILL! Get rid of either Mata or Depay, or both. Also get rid of one of Walcott and Ramsey, maybe bring in Sterling, or Mane, and use cash to upgrade Ighalo.

    -I am playing 4-3-3 formation.
    -I need nailed on 4.0 def. is taylor nailed on?

      Guzan will be late due to his involvement in the Gold Cup. Which means you will be forced to play Butland (LIV, tot) which looks terrible for returns.

      Having a 4.0 def means you will most probably have to play Taylor each GW, and he is not a guaranteed starter yet. Also Newcastle defence was pretty week last term. Not much has improved.

      You can do Silva -> Sterling and use the money to upgrade defence. Don't expect any returns from Cattermole and Barry.

      Downgrade Giroud - his place is in danger from Walcott. Use the cash to upgrade MID. Sakho is a great pick for your 4-3-3 and frees out a lot of cash.

    Looking at playing a 3-5-2, 3-4-3 switch

    Not too sure about mid and forward line is it too risky?

      You have invested too much in defence. Especially in GKs. I would look into a cheaper GK combo.

      CPL fixtures are pretty tough. Woulds steer clear for the time being. Mitrovic is too much of isk imo. Cisse is the first choice fwd. Berahino's fixtures are also terrible. Which means your attack is too weak.

      Downgrade Defence - Upgrade Attack imo.

      Take your point but GK only 9.5 for pairing against new idea of 9m not too sure if the benefit is enough.

      Defence with Alderweirld playing after GW1 Change Lukaku after GW 2 possibly with Rooney for Kun + 1 any better

    RMT please.

    I am unsure on Benteke as he might not fit quite well in the team. If I am to take him out, who should I bring in? Of course that would mean an instant swap A.Ayew for Milner.

    Is benching Ivan for GW2 wise?

    Also is a Man City DEF i.e. Mangala a better pick than Mertesacker?

    Currently the plan is to rotate Wilson and Jurado. I really wanted Ritchie in my team but couldn't fit him in unless I got a cheap 5th midfielder who is not a secure starter.
