Based on last season, if Walcott survives tomorrow morning is he still in danger of dropping Saturday morning, or is transfers out measured on a weekly basis?

Really liking West Ham's fixtures in the next 6 and when I read Jeanz's post about Payet vs Ayew, I have been tempted even more.

Here's what I have for now.

    McCarthy

    Koscielny - Cedric - Coates

    Hazard - Walcott* - Mane - Milner

    Kane(c) - Rooney (vc) - Wilson

    1 million in the bank.

Obviousy, Walcott to Payet gives me a much needed 1.5 for Rooney to Aguero straight swap.

If I do save the transfer however, I have another week of 'explosives' from Theo if he starts and time to assess the whole PL in general.

Also, I don't have a plan for Sanchez yet.

    1. AK ⭐

      Missed the bench

      Courtois* - Westwood - Huth - Saylor

really depends on how comfortable you are wally's game time. if you don't think he'll get a decent run, it makes sense to get payet in (particularly do to his favourable fixtures coming up).

        • 11 Years
        8 years, 10 months ago

I am as clueless as everyone on Theo. Ruth did make a good point, if he doesn't get games when Sanchez is out, how do you expect him to get games when he is fit?

I always wanted Sanchez to be my Arsenal attacker, but didn't expect him to come back so soon.

TM makes a good point. if Wally drops 0.1 you can't do the transfers as planned. Maybe keep a close eye on the price rise websites and make a call when you have to.

Sanchez isn't a definite but he's a possibility. Have various potential plans:

          - Get Gomis in for Wilson (hit this week)
          - Hazard to 9m / Rooney to Aguero
          - Hazard to Sanchez, Ivanovic to 5m, Rooney to Aguero
          - Hazard to Silva, Ivanovic to 6m, Rooney to Aguero

Either way it doesn't look like Hazard has much more time in my team 🙂

I want to try and not wildcard early but that's always a possibility too.

            The 4th looks very appealing.

Having said that, I think it's too early to rule Hazard out already. He's a guy who's scored at least 190 points in the 3 seasons he has played in the PL. Given how he has matured well and the season he's had last year, he's only going to grow on it.

Having said that, I do believe, that when Costa is on the field, it basically kills his goal threat, does have a better assist potential though.

I like to have a premium defender I stick with for the whole season. It was JT last year. In the long run, I reckon it's a beneficial move. I've gone the JT route this year as well, and added Koscielny because I didn't need to spend that much £ for the rest of the team. At some point one of the two will go though.

No, once in the league you stay until I removed. I just changed the league starting to GW2 for this week.

          Great.
Yes I will find place, first I had to join some mates leagues for a couple of months until they lose interest.

But doubt it Im still qualified when GW20 arrives.
Got a stunning 24 point this GW.

Hopefully the mid and forwards can actually do something this time around though 🙂

I am expecting around 2 clean sheets, rather hoping. Koscielny away at Palace, though Palace under Pardew have been immense at home, and Sunderland against Norwich, although Norwich looked very different from how they were 2 years back in the PL

Hey guys, please help me with my team :

    Fabianski
    Alderweireld - Cedric - Bellerin
Haz - Wally - Mane (vc) - Mahrez
    Kane (c) - Wilson - Rooney

Bench : Hennessey, Anya, Morgan, Turner

I've got 2.5 in the bank to try and get Kun in the next week.
I was really tempted to go with Mane as my captain for the GW. Your thoughts?

Bench and captains good to go? A (three-faced) coin toss between Sakho, Sanchez and Gomis, for captain.

    Mignolet
    Alderweireld, Cedric, Gomez
    Payet, Hazard, Sanchez (VC), Mahrez
    Sakho (C), Gomis, Aguero

    McCarthy; Azpli, Oxford, Westwood

Granted, it's not a fantastic looking team. I'm not entirely convinced by Gomis and Sakho in my forward line and Gomez and Oxford aren't long term picks. But it's a lineup structured around a friendly 6-7 weeks of fixtures and the cheap defenders should see some slight improvement in my TV.

That is a brilliant team! Wildcard?

I don't think Sakho (c) is necessary when you have both Payet and Sakho in there.

Just read that Demi said he'll stop posting if Sanchez doesn't start, and since he's the man of the lineups, I think Sanchez (c) is very tempting, but then again, it depends on how much you trust Demi.

      My order of preference:

      Sanchez
      Gomis
      Sakho

cheers AK. I'm very tempted but it's high risk. in Gomis and Sakho you know you will get 80mins plus...

I agree with you. I am a man of prudence though and I like to hedge my bets, especially in the beginning of the season. If WHU fail to score by any chance, that's trouble for the week.

    Myhil
    Azpi, gomez, cedric, (richards, oxford)
    Walcott, sanchez, ayew, payet (obertan)
    Kane, pelle, benteke (c)

I only have walcott because im assuming he'll start this week and needs to prove himself.
I have 2.5 in the bank. Slowing saving for aguero by the time weel 4 comes around.
Thoughts. I need a bit of help. This is from my wildcard by the way. Way off the pace gw1

    Definite moves:

    Rooney + Hazard > Aguero + Sanchez

To help finance, which should I choose?

    A) Walcott > Ayew/Payet
    B) Walcott + Pelle > Toure/Caz/Mata + Gomis

I feel like B is the better option until likely WC in GW9 but may well require a -8 hit over the weeks
