We head to the Emirates this evening as Gameweek 3 comes to its conclusion with a head-to-head between two of last season’s top six. Despite scoring just twice so far, Arsenal have offered a significant threat in the final third – although they’ve played only two matches, Arsene Wenger’s side still sit joint-top for shots inside the box, firing 32 close-range attempts.

Liverpool arrive in London in impressive defensive form, though. The Reds have registered back-to-back shut-puts this season and chalked up eight clean sheets away from home in 2014/15 – joint-top with West Brom. With three very favourable home fixtures in the following four, Fantasy managers will be keeping a keen eye on the Merseysiders’ main men at both ends of the pitch.

Given that Arsenal are missing both Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker, Christian Benteke owners will be hopeful of another goal for the Belgian, after he opened his account against Bournemouth last Monday evening.

      Do you have any of them already? Kolarov due to rise today.. so if you don't have any of them yet Kolarov is the better pick... He is cheaper and just scored well this past weekend so by the end of the week more people will transfer him in than they will Kompany..

    Should have buried the game in the first half but I'll definitely take a point. Arsenal were much better in the second half. Up the reds, good start to the season. 🙂

    So what I learnt (and suspected which is why I WC'd Benteke and Giroud)

    - Benteke is class but needs to settle a bit still
    - As soon as Liverpool are pressured they move deeper
    - Even if Liverpool go slightly deep, Benteke is nullified.
    - Giroud is a bit lazy
    - Liverpool defence is very good

      Between Alderweireld and cedric for me. Wanna keep cedric especially if he might play as wing back but concerned about possible price fall. fplstatistics have cedric at 89% and alder only at around 50%
