Seems like everybody's got a price,
I wonder how they sleep at night
    When the sale comes first
    And the truth comes second.
Just stop for a minute and smile

    Why is everybody so serious?
    Acting so damn mysterious?
Got your shades on your eyes
    And your heels so high
That you can't even have a good time

I'm pretty Sure Josè is going to sign Stones in january or in july, which would explain the signing of Djilobodji, he has experience, he's a fine CB that's not world class and is not going to demand to be a starter(also, he's not being paid much).

He could have bought Garay for 18M euros but didn't. That makes me think that they're still confident that they can sign Stones within the next 12 months.

Like Arsenal, they have one functining striker, a great midfield and a suspect defence, and a manager prone to beliveing his own legend. Might turn it around, might not.

Well clearly Root was being facetious, but I would say...

I never agree with doubling up on defenders from the same team, but I'm sure Liverpool will still offer you more clean sheets than most, if not all, 4.5 defenders.

I'm also not a big fan of playing an expensive keeper. I'd rather a 4.5M rotation, but it's all personal choice.

I currently have Gomez, so I'd rather keep him. However, if your secondary keeper is non-playing (or McCarthy and he loses his spot), then you have a more difficult decision... Or you need to make 2 FTs to chance to a 4.5M rotation, which is never desirable for keeper transfers.

Don't think Cresswell is particularly assured of clean sheets. I'd personally downgrade Migs to Myhil or Butland (but the former carries a measure of rotation risk with the signing of Lindegaard).

    De Gea

    Darmian - Smalling - Blind - Shaw

    Carrick - Schneiderlin

    Mata - Rooney - Depay

    Martial

Could be a lot worse, think we'll be okay this season. Have to hope LvG figures out how to get us firing. Lets not talk about what happens once players start getting injured....

And that is fair. But there is an allowance for him being rusty what with limited game time. He's a much better player than just a 433 or CAM, an opinion LVG has managed to propagate about him.

Yup - feel that Rooney is a problem and I hate saying that given all the goals he's scored for us.

Need to move Mata central and get a proper winger on the right. Also our players need permission to go past players because right now we always seem to be instructed to cut inside.

He flopped but it was the beginning of Man City as we know them now.
They went from a totally poor side whose star player was craig bellamy to the richest side in a short time it was knowing they were coming for united that madethat one good.

Deadline day was created to serve sky and the tv companies.
Have a big day of transfers and adverts every 5 minutes.
Advertisers pay a fortune to get air time. Sky rake in cash .
Uefa set the rules and get their cut in return. Every years "the biggest ever".
Its like the x factor. Its all just a money making gimmick.

Enjoyed this summary from a Spurs fan (on BBC):
"Chairman Daniel Levy, the so-called shrewd negotiator, catastrophically misjudged a market flush with TV cash. Teams no longer have to cave in because they just don’t need the money. Another window, yet another missed opportunity. Today’s desperate Berahino or bust shambles obscures concerns that Spurs’ overhaul of scouting and recruitment failed to find alternatives. The club site’s pathetic attempt to solve the problem by reclassifying Heung-Min Son as a striker did not play well with frustrated and furious fans"
