Anyone think there is a strong chance that Ihneacheo or Sterling may start up top in place of Bony?

I'm tempted by Bony and hoping his price tag will mean he will get the nod but I feel a little uneasy about it...

I was considering Bony last night but you hit the nail on the head, he's not guaranteed to start, not sure he'd come in and bang them in anyway.

I wouldn't consider him in normal circumstances but their fixtures over the next 4 look quite appealing and no other striker's fixtures/ form appeal. (Got Vardy and Pelle already)

I think I'd much rather have someone like Costa/Lukaku for the next 4. I too, have Pelle/Vardy.

He's only played 643 mintues for City... Not exactly had a decent run in the first team since his move.

Yeah I've seen him miss a few to be fair. However at Swansea he was pretty lethal. Was the top goalscorer in prem during 2014

Ihneacheo can't play CL which means he can only play in the epl so that would make me cautious in buying Bony? May not get full games due to being rested now for champions league

Not really a silly excuse they had a back up striker in Bony then if Aguero got injured. Iheancheao cant play CL so Bony is the only striker they have available to play in it they might not risk him? Haedly a silly excuse 🙄

Not a bony owner, just astounded why people think he wont play.

He has to play a month, its hardly he needs to be rotated he will be fresh. If hes injured then Sterling will be up top in champs league, Simples 🙂

Sterling can play there yeah but if Silva is out longer than expected he will be needed in midfield no? Not saying its unwise to get Bony I just feel he is not going to play full 90mins and is a transfer out waiting to happen when Aguero returns

Hi all still undecided and need some advice on the following please as I'm now considering -8 hit :/..
    My team is
    Myhill - ruddy
    Francis - Williams - Richards - Muniesa - Kolarov
    Sánchez - mahrez - Westwood - coutinho - Payet
    Martial - aguero - vardy

1 Ft. With aguero out its aguero to..
    A. Pele
    B. Sturridge
    C. Costa
    D. Kane
    E. Bony
    F. Kdb and Pele -4 (coutinho aguero out)
    G. Kdb mane sturridge -8 ( coutinho mahrez aguero out)
    H. Kdb bellerin Pele -8 ( coutinho aguero Francis out)

Is coutinho the right mid to rid if taking a hit? Fixtures are bad but klopp effect...

    Thanks

This is my reasoning. 2 assists and I'm making profit already plus price rises plus a city and Southampton player for next few. Only concern will he have the same goal threat without Silva or aguero around hmm.

Ok, let's get this straight. Bony will play upfront because Silva is out in midfield and potentially Yaya too. Therefore Sterling will have to be in midfield as there's no other real options.

    What should I do?

    A) Gomez ----> Bertrand/Bellerin (-4)
    B) Play Nyom(Has ARS and is doubtful)/Francis(mci)

Doing would help me longer term as I would have to get rid of Gomez any way soon.

If you can get the price rise for bellerin it could be worth it. I can see arsenal and city scoring atleast 2 each so that leave 1 point for each. If bellerin kept a clean sheet minus your 4 equals 2 points before possible bonus and attacking threat with price rise and longevity for purchase team, it looks like a win.

But those factors have to play out of course. I don't normally like hits for defenders but finished didnt have other pressing issues I may have considered this

I'm trying to decide the same. Kind of want to get bellerin in before he rises but not sure about the hit.

Also relying on Davies to start along with Francis

    4. Mr Pink
      • 10 Years

I'm hovering the finger over the button for the same move myself, and will probably get Bellerin and give myself one more week to decide between cedric and bertrand for Jenkinson.

My two bench defenders are Gomez and Francis, and if Kolarov is out... I can see City putting a few behind Bournemouth even without Silva and Aguero. KDB could do well in Silva's role, and apart from last GW it is not like they needed Kun for the goals so far this season.

    In a pretty tough league with some nice cash prices. Currently 6th, and just used my wildcard;

    Begovic / Butland
    Dawson, Bellerin, Cedric, Francis, Martin,
Mahrez, Mata, Mane, De Bruyne, Sanchez,
    Pelle, Vardy, Ayoze.

My biggest concern is De Bruyne and not having cash for Aguero when his back.
The players above me in the league all have Sanchez, Mahrez and Payet.
    Thoughts?

Help much needed. Climbed to the top of 2 private leagues I care about thanks to persistence on Kun, Sanchez, plus some luck. I don't wanna take a lot of hits and drop in the rankings..

Already did Sagna to Dawson (probably silly to have done before the internationals)

    Butland, McCarthy

    Kolarov, Cedric, Dawson, Richards, Gomez

    Ayew, Sanchez, Hazard, Mahrez, Payet

    Ighalo, Aguero, Jerome

I have to (-4) and do Aguero out ??? in

Most likely Pelle if he is not injured tonight. That will leave me without City attacking (possibly without any if Kolarov can't play) cover.

    Advice appreciated..

Your call of course, just giving my thought. It is likely he will play, but I doubt for a full 90 and he could end up being rotated if he doesn't play well.

bony will play, people who say he wont are either sterling owners hoping he will be upfront when he wont with silva out

and non bony owners who have already transferred in flavour of the week pelle and hoping bony wont play.

I picked only 1 player from city for a few reasons

              Kompany returning from injury
Yaya has been out a few games from hamstring
              Silva out
              Agustin out
              Kolarov feeling burnt out

I figured Bertrand might get more freedom to move forward in comparison to Cedric who will be occupied by schlupp. Dawson plays Sunderland at home but I noticed west brom get clean sheets away from home more often.

Lens is out, so Sunderland have zero attack.

Hey folks I've 2 points to bring up -

    1. Why are people transferring out mahrez after he's rested once by ranieri?(his form is >10 for the other games he's played )

    2. I'm thinking of getting Costa based on the same rationale that I brought in Kun and Alexis on- form is temporary, class is permanent and he's playing in a class team going through a rough patch that is inevitably going to up turn any game week! And it could well start this weekend and that's why I'm gettin Costa in. Appreciate pelle is playing well but Costa should get better service and has easier fixtures and is a better player in general.

    Thoughts ?

Should I bring in Bellerin for a hit?

Rising tonight possibly. I want him as a long term option but not sure if I should wait until I can do it for free or not.
Rest of defence is kola (inj) nyom (inj) Dawson Davies (rotation?) and Francis.
If kola and nyom are injured and Davies doesn't play I'll be a man down. Any advice ?

Belle will generate lots of points, but not sure if on the next GW. So ideally, I will not take a hit on him. Avoiding the price rise is relevant only if you do not have much to spare. It also obviously depends on who you will replace him with (Nyom may rise, Kola may drop if injury is found to be a long one).

Have a feeling out of the ones you've stated only Kola may not play.

Doos - what's your take on Costa?

As a Chelsea fan, I'm still reluctant but Villa (H) is as tasty as it gets, given how many they've conceded centrally and Costa/Chelsea having a point to prove, can't be a bad Aguero replacement, can it?

    (I own Pelle/Vardy)

I'm no Doos but I can anwer behalf of him. Costa hasn't done anything worth a mention yet. He is literally no show in his stats tables

but he if you ask me. I think he is best Aguero replacement despite no form. He have had three weeks to train and get back to fit and he will surely want to prove a point.

He doesn't appear in that one as he isn't firing blanks (though he's not really firing at all)

    Bit off topic.

India has over 1.2 billion citizen but still there isn't any notable footballer in major european leagues. Is it because everyone is playing cricket there or what?

I guess the same goes for China with an even bigger population

India loves cricket but hasn't yet produced a world class fast bowler.
We're just not physically built for hard hard stuff.
We prefer to be engineers and accountants.
But I believe if there's extensive investment in Football in India like there is with cricket, India could produce a few good players.

but statistically I would have thought that there would have been atleast 1-2 Indian footballer in major leagues. Even my small country population of 5 million has produced 2 ucl winners in past two decades

Population has got nothing to do with the development of the sport. Does your country have cricketes or hockey players or tennis players?

Ice hockey is the most popular sport here by distance.

Conditions for playing football here isn't much better than in India.
Winter is cold 6-7 months long and basically football can be played outside 4-5 months per year if we are lucky. Still we have decent pro footballers in Europe.

        * India has produced quite a few world class fast bowler.

        to name a few:

        Srinath, Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan

Lot of issues. Weather plays a part along with the infrastructure for football and lack of popularity of the sport.

I think China falls into the same category.

Yup. Everyone was playing cricket. Hockey is pretty dead now. Tennis and Football on the rise in the last 10 years. Also, no proper academys or places to develop football. Sports always takes the backseat in India I am afraid. We are too busy working 6 days a week

1.2 billion citizens, but more than 1 billion of those are trying to get 3 meals a day. We can't produce world class athletes unless we've got basic nutritional infrastructure (and following on from that, then comes passion for the sport, training facilities, funding, etc).

I notice that Costa's net transfers in per day are in the positive, whereas earlier in the week he was being transferred out a lot. Must be a direct result of people selling Aguero and having loads of funds, so splashing out on someone who hasn't shown any signs of repaying them.

Kane (LIV, bou, AVL, ars) or Lukaku (MUN, ars, SUN, whu) for the next four?

hasn't been demonstrating the form, but would pay off handsomely if he explodes.
I'm thinking Costa - really real differential

Might as well get lukaku in if on wildcard; only a couple of gameweeks until their fixtures perk up

        But for who? Costa?
I think its just matter of time when he will be back. Got good rest and training after the international break. He will be banging them soon.

I have to admit, I am considering him for Aguero. Big risk, because we have no idea how he is gonna play on his return, but Mourinho needs him. Jose, praised the way he played against Arsenal; he will be relying on him (Falcao did nothing to help the cause in the interim) to help turn things around. Problem is he could easily find himself sent off under extra referee scrutiny.

I'd pick Lukaku ahead of Costa. I currently have Lukaku and no Vardy, but don't want to bring in another Leicester player when their fixtures don't look good for too long.

LEI have very good games coming up i think. It might get harder after GW13. Also thei are good for their value.
The thing is that u will never know with Lukaku. He can go crazy but also everton have so many other potential scorers.
I think i will go with costa and see how he does and if fails then get Kun for him when he is back.
