Never really toyed with the idea of Payet out, BUT Payet out for Lanzini is the enabler!

    DDG - Darlow

    Bellerin - Sakho - Delaney - Gabriel - Simpson

    Sanchez - Lanzini - KdB - Cout/Firm - Mahrez

    Aguero - Lukaku - Kane

The way my plan is layed out I have the cash and no reason not to go Payet in GW36 (I'm waiting for the fixtures), but Lanzini is my fall back that I will be happy to jump on if rises cause me to miss out somehow. I looked at getting Lanzini in now but it's too much trouble navigating the blank with the players I want.

My final conundrum! Please help. I can't fit Mitrovic in my front 3 because I'm deadset on punting Pelle, just cause. Looking for Newcastle cover.

    A) Wijnaldum + Darmian (I know Darmian is a risk here but I also have DDG and won't be tooo hurt if he misses 60 for 1 game)

    B) Townsend + Smalling (I haven't got much love for Townsend, and this might force me to bring in Lanzini over Payet for GW36)

    1. Postman Ty
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 2 months ago

*it will definitely force Lanzini over Payet, but I can then do Cresswell over Reid with the spare change so overall not bad.

If you have to then A

      1. Postman Ty
        • 9 Years

I think psychologically I have to since I'll cry when Pelle inevitably hits double figures in the next 3 weeks straight. If I keep him he will probably go on one of his typical barren runs but it's a risk I want to take.

        Cheers.

        1. Postman Ty

Currently looking to play him for 34-35-36-37, so the only unfavourable one will be away to Liverpool (given that Swansea at home for the double easily trumps the downfall of City at home)

      2. Postman Ty
        • 9 Years

In my heart I agree but they fit the price point to fill that 5th mid spot and with the double/no blanks they're an easy choice for me.

    2. Zoostation
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 2 months ago

My concerns with Sakho and Gabriel are that you have two defenders that may not get the full 90.

Anyway you can get one of Clyne or Bellerin in? Maybe Smalling?

Ditch Mahrez for Lanzini and Kane for a DGW to free up funds?

      1. Ravager
        • 9 Years
        8 years, 2 months ago

Major issue is funds honestly...really hesitant to get Kane out since he's been consistent. But I'll definitely look into it..
        Is Moreno nailed on?

        1. Zoostation
          • 9 Years

No, Sakho is the better play IMO.

        2. Polo
          • 9 Years
          8 years, 2 months ago

Pretty much, only other left back in the squad is Smith, a kid who Klopp has had plenty of chances to play and never does. Unless Clyne or Flannagan switch sides he's pretty nailed. His recent blanks were due to a niggle not being dropped if that's worrying you

        3. Postman Ty
          • 9 Years
          8 years, 2 months ago

Moreno isn't nailed at all, at least he shouldn't be. For the sake of my other Pool cover I hope Flanny plays.

Kane will probably do well the rest of the season but I don't see him getting any (maybe 1) huge hauls so the risk shouldn't be big, especially if you get in a doubler and have funds to secure the rest of the team.

          1. Ravager
            • 9 Years
            8 years, 2 months ago

See. One side says Sakho is the most 'nailed' option but he still isn't secure. Clyne the best bet then?

            1. Postman Ty
              • 9 Years
              8 years, 2 months ago

It's a coin toss at this point honestly. I would say probably Clyne since he's only been rested the one game. If Skrtel does get any more minutes, which he may well not, then only Klopp will know who's getting replaced.

              1. Ravager
                • 9 Years

                Then going to keep Sakho

I'm thinking about going with KDB this GW and then switch to Ozil next GW.

It seems a waste of FT though.

Anyone are considering to swap Mahrez+Kane to KDB+Mitrovic ?

It looks good for double on Gw34, but not well for Gw33.

KdB can have a great 33. Newcastle has no option but go for it. Mahrez may not score in the 1-0. Kane is up against a motivated Utd.

        Short of money 🙁

But ok with Jags pick. Jonty convinced me.

Coming back in 36. After ARS lei WAT blank and the FA Cup replay. Most likely will come in for KdB.

Martial is definitely a "home" type of player so GW34 seems like a perfect fit.
Aston Villa "defence" is a joke too.

But MU doesn't even score a lot of goals these days. Do we really want Martial then?

Not for me, spurs away this week is the clincher, that and the blank in 35 really takes the shine off the, admittedly great double

Barkley and Gabriel, simply because of the extra double

Lanzini & Bellerin as both are better players than the other two.

Have I got the lineup right for this week?

    DDG
    Kos, Ward, Sakho
    Mahrez, Bolasie, Cout, Payet
    Luk, Kun, Kane

    Darlow, Ozil, Simpson, Gabriel

    Thanks!
