Dugout Discussion – Man United vs Leicester

All eyes will be on Old Trafford from two o’clock as Manchester United endeavour to prevent Leicester City from securing the title. The Red Devils have won four of their previous five matches and still harbour aspirations of snatching a top-four berth, while the Foxes require a solitary victory in their remaining trio of fixtures to claim the crown.

Man United were far from a dominant attacking force during their last four outings, ranking joint-tenth for goals (four), joint-fourth-bottom for attempts (44) and fifth-bottom for shots inside the box. That being said, Louis van Gaal’s outfit chart top for clean sheets (12) and bottom for goals conceded (seven) in home encounters, so a solitary strike could well be enough to earn their fourth 1-0 win in five showdowns at Old Trafford.

Aside from notching nine goals in their previous four match-ups, Leicester also tallied five more big chances (16) than any other team. Investors in Man United’s rearguard might be concerned that only Arsenal have amassed more goals in road clashes than Claudio Ranieri’s troupe (32 to 31), while no team has racked up more big chances (46). The Red Devils certainly have their work cut out trying to breach a defence that places bottom for goals conceded (eight) since Gameweek 19.

I feel like Liverpool should be punished. By constantly fielding second string teams in the PL they've affected the relegation battle.

This definitely isn't just an overreaction to FPL points losses.

I think Wolves were punished for it a few years ago.

What are all you with Robles doing in GW37? Just going to play Darlow or bring someone else in?

Also have Firmino, Coutinho should I be replacing one of them for a hit for GW 37?

Although GW34 worked out okay for us WC/BBers.. From the GW33 damage, to the GW35 rotation, to GW36 rotation, and the -4s and -8s in between to sort it out going into GW37... It's safe to say the idea was a fail.

It's affected non-WC players just as much from what I can see in my mini-leagues

Agreed. Nearly all the players we thought we'd need have caused headaches.
Not gained much on less organised players who WC'd and BB on random weeks.

Wasn't he that guy playing for Man Utd when Darmian was the best defender in the world?

      Rojo (2) Sakho (0) Alli ( 0) KDB (0) > PVA (2) Cresswell (6) Lanzini (3) Hazard (?) -12

Looking good, should break even and work out as 4 FT's bringing in 4 doublers. Chuffed with that. Roll on the double 🙂
