Versus – Coleman and Baines

In retrospect, it seems that a lacklustre defeat at Watford in Gameweek 15 has been the making of Everton’s season.

Since that 3-2 loss at Vicarage Road, the Toffees have finally clicked under Ronald Koeman, chalking up five wins and a draw in the subsequent seven league fixtures.

The Dutchman’s decision to roll out a wing-back system has been key to their recent ascent.

Everton have chalked up four clean sheets in the last five Gameweeks, bringing both Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines onto our radars as the Merseysiders offer the perfect combination of form and fixtures for the foreseeable future.

Identically priced in Fantasy Premier League at 5.6 apiece, and with clashes against Stoke, Bournemouth, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, West Brom and Hull City over the next seven Gameweeks, we assess the Toffees duo’s recent displays as we look for the most appealing route into Koeman’s much-improved rearguard.

    Randolph
    Baines, Alonso, Walker
    San(c)hez, Eriksen, Antonio, Davies
    Ibra, Costa, Kane

    Jaku, McCauley, Holgate, Fletcher

Does my bench look right? Playing Davies over McCauley while he's still nailed...Gueye on a flight back to Liverpool probably as I write this.

Yes agreed, but for the sake of an already won Cup game, coming cold of the bench just seems a bit unnecessary, even for him to collect the cash, when maybe chance of an injury might be slightly higher.

    Giroud Hate is Overrated

    real head ache for Wenger

    - Arsene Loves Giroud
Giroud Proved that again to Arsene by his performances off the bench and the start he got in recent games when The perennial Injured just like always got injured again.

But he knows Sanchez wants to play upfront and he sees him in that role and With Wally and Welbeck back they are more dangerous with them than Giroud but there will be times when No one will score and he will look towards Giroud to again rescue her
Giroud will not like that bench role again with those performances so he now has Big decision to make Wenger if Giroud keep hi form which is very likely .

Will mean Giroud leaving eventually if he does not start and Then Wenger will have no one to look To to see How to get a goal on those times they can't walk the ball in the goal.

    Wenger headache starts

Giroud is a very average 1st choice striker for a team of Arsenals caliber to rely on....

Can't tell how important part of the first team he has been to Arsenal in the last few years when Wenger should have signed a wOrld class striker but he didnt and the guy has literally scored a good amount of goals always on his part.

The mentality of the Club and Players and Injuries are keeping Arsenal down not the Striker who played upfront for them ...Yes he is slow don't do tricks n ol
Ppl always remember bad things about him is the problem.

              Randolph

both are good options until the end of the season.Really like Randolph's price and West ham having signed Fonte should improve in Defence plus he also make saves too.

looks a good move if you don't have Lukaku already.

Which players with a blank do you keep/bench in the blank?

The ones with that don't blank in 28 or the ones with most value tied in

The perfect draw for me would be
    Sutton/Leeds v Man u
    Spurs v Lincoln
    Arsenal v Middlesbrough
    Chelsea v Man City

Already have 2 Spurs and had planned on bringing Walker in as well. Should I be holding off on that transfer now?

    Coleman instead maybe?

No. Blank weeks are still a good number of weeks away. You'd miss out on all the Walker potential hauls in the meantime

I think it's important to remember most people will be struggling to field a team come Gameweek 26 and the overall average will be pretty low.

Agreed. It's a good opportunity to get the jump on some close ML rivals

    Dear Mr Wenger,

Following your FA cup win, please reinstate Walcott on the wing and Sanchez up front. Thank you.

    Sincerely
