Dugout Discussion – Spurs vs Chelsea

After Aaron Mooy fired Huddersfield to victory over Newcastle, we make our way to Wembley as Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea go head-to-head in Sunday’s final fixture.

A victory for Spurs today would set a new club record of 15 successive home league wins, yet their record in competitive matches at Wembley – two wins, one draw and seven losses – is anything but convincing.

Subject to over 164,000 transfers out last week, Harry Kane has now gone 11 Premier League matches in August without finding the net.

Yet Kane was still the second most captained player for Gameweek 2, handed the armband by 526,000+ FPL managers as he looks to recover from last Sunday’s blank at Newcastle.

Both Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli plundered the points at St James’ Park to put Kane in the shade.

They also combined for both goals in the corresponding fixture last season, with Eriksen supplying assists for Alli’s pair of strikes in a 2-0 home win over the champions.

For Chelsea, Alvaro Morata is handed his first start after emerging from the bench to bag a goal and assist in last week’s shock home loss to Burnley.

But there’s no Eden Hazard as he fails to recover from an ankle injury in time for the Wembley encounter.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

With Pedro coming back Morata looking good and hazard on the way.

Chelsea due for a successful defence of the title?

Morata looked awful today. Was entirely anonymous and missed a sitter. Hold play left a lot to be desired.

Wasn't that bad? It was a completely free header. Centre of the goal. Not ahead of him. Not behind him. Pace on the cross. Easiest header a striker could ask for. Missed by plenty, not even close.

Yeah think so too. Ramsey will be behind Alexis, Lacazette and Özil in points scored. I can see Mkhi being second after Lukaku in Man U.

Thing is, Hegazi is not a sure starter :/

Already have Schindler. Doubling up seems like an overkill. Could go for a Watford defender like Britos but their schedule doesn't look that great. Such a shame I am 0.1 M short for Mkhi if I buy a 5.0 defender like Dawson or Jones..

Really don't know what to do now :p

    Repost, no replies last time.

Pending tomorrow's game, what do you guys think about doing Quaner + David Silva -> Chicharito + Tadic/Redmond for a -4? Need to do them both before the Chicharito price rise to be able to afford it. Would mean I can play three up front which'd be nice. However I wouldn't have any City coverage.

    Hart
    Bertrand / Ake / Cedric
    DeBruyne / Salah / Richie / Mooy
    Kane / Lukaku / Gabbiadini

    Elliot / Mee / Carroll / Long
