Two Gameweeks down and already the dilemmas are building; the siren song of the Wildcard button is calling.

Failing big hitters are the major bone of contention as Jonty, Andy and Luke join me for the second ScoutCast of the season.

We give our verdicts on Spurs talisman Harry Kane, while also assessing the fall-out from Manchester City and, in particular, the shot-shy Kevin De Bruyne.

Driven by another round of community questions, we also chew over The Pogba vs Mkhitaryan debate and the big Bournemouth bail out, before previewing Gameweek 3.

Oh, and after his ten point return on the Aaron Mooy investment, we wrestle to prevent Jonty dropping his name into the conversation at every opportunity. I think I counted two. That’s a win for everyone involved.

        I reckon he'll get 15+ this season and probably provide similar returns to Defoe's tally last season, so could be value. He's been underwhelming at times but he seems to be enjoying his football again

    Leaves 1.3 ITB, I know midfield looks a bit light but that is a sacrifice you have to make when you have Alonso, got a bit of flexibility to upgrade if need be.

        Reassuring that others have similar, never WC this early before but disastrous start, players were dropping and the ones I wanted were rising so would have been about a mil swing & potentially unaffordable if I waited.

    Why are some people here cray cray? Kane sucks, gotta go. Salah is out. KDB forget it he is the worst. Seriously people? Who cares about your GW2 score? And don't even start feeding me that BS about you being able to adequately jump on and off bandwagons. Never happens consistently. Just get the proven assets and be patient. I am almost embarrassed to be writing this.

      I think we saw last season that sitting on "proven" assets for too long saw you miss other heavy hitters who accelerated in price. The landscape changed somewhat.

      I held Hazard through a bad spell and it nearly murdered me while Alli/Eriksen delivered.

      Sometimes you have to jump off a quality proven asset. I do agree that GW2 is too early though, of course but the temptation to jump as soon as doubts crop up is understandable.

      It takes willpower when prices are so volatile.

        I "cracked" and did KdB > Eriksen to beat the price rise. Its more a longterm move anyway plus I really need the 0.5 for the rest of the team

      Hysteria takes over and I've been guilty of it in the past. "Insanity is doing the same thing expecting different results".

      Last year I was taking hits to switch Sanchez to Ibra. This year I'm sitting tight and focussing on information rather than early green arrows.

      I'm quite stunned at the number of wildcards that are floating around. Surely things couldn't have been that bad to wildcard before the window has even closed.

      Me? I admit to doing KDB to Mhki with one of my two free transfers this week, but that was due more to my hand being forced on having to correct my Iwobi punt and wanting to play more in the Ramsey/Antonio range than the Mooy/Atsu range for that transfer.

      I think most people are getting rid of KDB because they don't think he's worth his price tag, Eriksen will prob match or outscore KDB and is 0.5 cheaper. Spurs fixtures also appeal and Man City have been disappointing

          Is Hegazi good for the season? I'm on a wildcard and not sure if I want both Foster and Hegazi. Last year I wildcarded early and got Foster after a few early cleanies and ignored Mcauley who was already around 4.7. Foster barely kept a cleanie after my wildcard and Mcauley just kept scoring. Don't want to make the same mistake again but worried Hegazi will lose his place.

              Low in my opinion. he is a defender and been hovering around mid 90s on FPL stats for awhile now. I think you can get another day of information before having to make a call.

              That said, I do think that is ultimately the right call to make but would be good to hold off until you have confirmation he isn't injured from the pressers

              Why are both choices a double up? I think you want one Spurs mid and one MU mid. Then take the striker of your choice, or both.

            Is lukaku --> kane on a ft a stupid move? I really like his captaincy factor this gw and I dont fancy uniteds schedule from gw5 and onwards.. Looking at the players stats kane is superior in everything upset goals scored.. :/. Could opt for both but i really narrows down the third striker option...
