Dugout Discussion – Man City vs Newcastle

Saturday ends at the Etihad Stadium where Manchester City bid to recover from their defeat at Anfield with three points over Newcastle United.

In Fantasy terms we have three of the top seven captain picks on show in the City attack.

Sergio Aguero leads the way with 581,000+ (10.3%) backers who will hope that he can deliver on an incredible record against the Magpies.

The Argentinian averages a goal or assist every 31 minutes against Newcastle in home matches, though he has just a single goal in his last four Gameweeks.

Kevin De Bruyne sports 178,000 armbands (3.1%) as he goes into the game with three assists in his last five; his last goal came back in Gameweek 18.

Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling – who was surprisingly sold by 108,000 ahead of Gameweek 24 – has the support of 152,000 managers as he bids to add to his tally of nine goals on home turf.

        2 transfers, plan is Ageuro to Firmino and either Richarlison or Lingard to Mahrez - but probs after City play West Brom. So got a transfer to play with this week. Although if Kun does similar against West Brom will be hard to sell!

          What the heck is going on with BPS system ?? Mahrez was on 3 bonus points at the end of the game. I am just checking now and it seems like he will barely get 1 point !!
          I just can't understand how this points system works at times...giving false illusions to players !!

            The bonus points are revised after 90mins; for example, points for the 'winning goal' can't be awarded until the game is finished. In that case, Vardy got them and therefore moved to 3 bonus pts.

            Same here but not complaining as things have gone well over previous 13 weeks (With just a couple of red arrows).
            25 points (With first -4 for weeks) but I still have Kane (c), salah, firmino, alli and hopefully TAA to play. Stood at 38k but that will change dramatically tonight no doubt. C'mon Harry make my day again.

          Hi.....not seen it mentioned elsewhere today.

          During the utd bur match earlier DDG got to 2 saves very early. Around the 60th minute Mee had a looping header which almost caught out Mr de Gea and he pushed it over from beneath the bar. Burnley got a corner. Mr De Gea didn't receive a save accreditation for this. I presumed he would.

          It was an attempt on target and DDG took action to prevent it going in.

          Will FPL retrospectively alter this? is it just missed? I only ask as it would a) give Dave a save point and b) potentially give him a bonus point too.

          Can I query it with FPL??
          Anyone else see this??

            I think if DDG hasn't been given an extra save point & more BAPs by now, it is very unlikely to bump up before the points update. I'd be delighted, but not betting on it.
