Sky Sports Focus

We now switch to focus on the Sky Sports Fantasy game and take a look back at the weekend action before preparing you for the forthcoming Gameweek.

We’ll examine the recent run of Man of the Match (MoTM) awards, the bonus point beneficiaries, transfer trends and Watchlist, before moving on to the Scout team and our future plans.

Gameweek 30 Man of the Match Awards

These were the players who caught the eye of the Sky Sports reporters and earned an extra five points as a result.

FixtureMoTM

Watford vs West BromSalomon Rondon
Swansea vs West HamKi Sung-yueng
Tottenham Hotspur vs HuddersfieldSon Heung-min
Southampton vs StokeKurt Zouma
Leicester vs BournemouthSimon Francis
Liverpool vs NewcastleAlex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Brighton vs ArsenalGlenn Murray
Man City vs ChelseaDavid Silva
Crystal Palace vs Man UnitedNemanja Matic

Another big week for differential picks. Nemanja Matic was the only real exception, with 17% ownership, but the rest are all found in fewer than 5.5% of squads.

A few players have now thrown their hat into the ring for the restricted Gameweek 32 that looms.

Simon Francis, Salomon Rondon, Kurt Zouma and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will all be expected to feature and may be worth a punt for those with more transfers than the average.

Gameweek 30 Bonus Points

Let’s take a look at any player to earn 40 points or more in bonus for the season

Watchlist

Here I aim to highlight a few differential players with low ownership who I think could be good options for the coming six weeks.

Three specific price brackets will be used to cater for our available budgets.

The players will evolve with fixtures and form, and offer Fantasy managers a nudge in the right direction.

Notes

Another slight jump in rank, with the star of the show undoubtedly the cheapest asset in my team – Mike van der Hoorn – whose headed goal earned him (and me) nine points.

In fact, my defence is carrying my team at the moment, with Loris Karius and Ben Davies also picking up nine apiece.

Theo Walcott continues to toil, but I feel I have to keep him as a differential captain this week and then as a starter in the Gameweek 32 void. I’ll reassess after that.

You may have noticed a certain Belgian striker sneak his way into my team on Monday at the expense of Christen Eriksen.

I wasn’t expecting much to come of this move, but with Crystal Palace having four games to Spurs’ one, I felt I would go with the gamble.

Surprisingly, it’s already gone some way to working out, with Christen Benteke earning me ten points as captain from his first match.

I’ll continue to look for differentials and gambles as I move forward in a bid to cheer something other than Mohamed Salah points every week.

Captain Plan

Sat 10th – Walcott (BHA)
Sun 11th – Kane (bou)
Mon 12th – De Bruyne (stk)

Chip planning... I have all of them...

    WC 32 or 33.
    FH 35
    TC in DGW

    When do I bench boost...?

Need to use my 2 FT's to get GW31 Players I think 😀

If u have Gomez, would u let him go or hope that he plays GW31?
If ditching and he plays, its one less player for GW31.
Or take a risk and hope he plays.

      Another owner here.
Hoping he plays. I'm already only fielding 7 or 8, I'm not wasting transfers on Gomez.

Will be interesting who Klopp picks against Man U. Does he go for 19 yr old Arnold who has played in last 4 or the slightly older Gomez. This will dictate my gw31 thinking

    Hello community!

    Current team:
    DDG Speroni
    VVD Schindler Kenny Alonso Ogbonna
    Salah Shaqiri Son Mahrez RLC
    Firmino Wilson Kane

    2 FTs and 1.6 ITB

    A) DDG & RLC => Lössl & Walcott (both have a good fixture this week and will play on 31)
    B) Son => Silva (have 2 frees for next week)

A would give me 8 players (or 9 if Kenny plays) for GW 31 with one FT to make that 9 (10) next week. Got exact cash to do this.
B would give me 7 (or 8 if Kenny plays).

    Will wildcard week 32.

    Which option do you prefer?

What would you do? Plan is wildcard GW32, bench boost GW34, free hit GW35. 1FT, 0.0 ITB.

    A. Save FT (easier fund distibution for GW31)
    B. Duffy > Schindler
    C. Sterling > Walcott/Sigurdsson/? (don't mind risking Sterling)

    De Gea
    Otamendi, van Dijk, Chilwell
De Bruyne, Salah(v), Sterling, Shaqiri, Pritchard
    Kane(c), Firmino
    (Elliot, Wilson, Duffy, Kenny)

Same choice as me! Went with Ogbonna with Mee to sub in if he doesn't play ... TBH I don't fancy either to get a CS but the implied odds of a clean sheet (check the HT) was slightly higher for Ogbonna

1FT for this week, using to prep for BGW31.

    A) Elliot > Pickford
    B) Elliot > Lossl
    C) Ogbonna > Schindler
    D) Sell Sterling, forget the defence

If I get a keeper I'll play them over DDG this week. I already have Coleman and Walcott, no HUD players:

    DDG
    Coleman, Vertonghen, Mee
    Salah, Sterling, Walcott, Mili, Richarlison
    Kane, Firmino

Subs: Elliot; Wilson, Ogbonna, Robertson (repost, old article)

Got 2 responses on last article - but cheekily hoping for a couple more!

I think I have joined the camp that thinks if Sterling plays it won't be the majority of the match and if he doesnt play I have an abysmal bench so leaning even closer to shipping him for a GW31 player (planning to WC in GW32).

    Sterling to
    A) Wally
    B) Siggy
    C) Mahrez (and have 1 less in GW31)
    D) Hope Sterling plays and use FT to fix defence (Fernandez > ?)

Can someone who has compared the stats help me out!

    Current team:

    DDG
    Alonso, VVD, Fernandez
    Salah, Hazard, Shaq, Sterling*
