The ScoutCast – Episode 255 – Wilder

Wildcards are very much active among the ScoutCast crew, and while only three of us make this latest episode, all five are in play ahead of the Double Gameweeks.

Not surprisingly, our rebuilding programme dominates the discussion as Jonty and Andy join me to reveal our current squads and our chosen strategy leading into the remaining seven Gameweeks.

In an exhaustive and in-depth episode, the three of us also look back on the success of the Free Hit in Gameweek 31. Then we attempt to offer a balanced view on the variety of chip tactics from this point on, with a team-by-team analysis of the player targets to consider.

We fail miserably of course, with our own bias no doubt shining through, though the conclusion is an uplifting one: whatever your chosen route with the chips to Gameweek 38, we will all win out in the end.

Unless you don’t have your Wildcard and Free Hit, in which case you’re now consigned to spending the next two months behind the sofa and hate us all anyway.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Hi need help here on last few players, need 0.4 (if no price changes) to be able to get Kane with no hit.

    Ddg, Ryan
    Alonso, Lowton, Morgan, Mee*, Dunk
    Gross, Salah, Mahrez, Son, Wilian
    Auba, Kane, Barnes

    A. Mee to Tark, Dunk to Schooleto
    B. Mee to Tark, Morgan to Simpson/Chilwel
    C. Mee to Tark, Ryan to McCarthy
    D. Keep Mee, Dunk, Morgan, Ryan and get kane for hit.

    Thanks

      Choose 1) or 2)?

      1) Mustafi and Smalling
GW34: Mustafi and Auba -> Dunk and Lukaku

      2) Bailly and Dunk
GW34: Enough for Auba -> Lukaku + a backup-transfer it any injuries etc.

      DeGea (Ryan)
      Alonso/xxx/xxx (Morgan, Lowton)
      Salah/Mahrez/Son/Willian/Gudmundsson
      Auba/Vardy (Bar

No Lukaku at the moment. But if fear going without him.

    Auby or Lukaku

    Have Vardy and Barnes

      Auby.
Lukaku is a big fear this week but next week is a major doubt for scoring. think Auby balances it out with 2 very good fixtures

To break the monotony of template teams here's my gamble one. Thoughts appreciated:
    Cech (Ryan)
    Christenson Tark Lowton (Morgan Dunk)
    Sanchez Hazard Willian Mahrez (Matic)
    Auba Vardy Murray.

Money ITB so GW34 to do
Cech + Auba to Heaton + Kane or Lloyd's + Lukaku

    Thoughts?

Cover them and gamble elsewhere. In your case Hazard and Sanchez are decent differentials enough.

Swap your Chelsea defence to DdG or Smalling ?

don't like making transfer for keeper. Think cech is a liability. DeGea is worth the extra over him and no united defense will hurt your rank if they keep cleansheets in the doubles.
despite the article above, don't think hazard is worth it. I admit owning Willian but chelsea dont score big enough to own 2 of their mids. Sanachez hasn't produced points this year, too risky.

Also no salah is a no nooooooo

Sorry but it just doesn’t look good at all.

Sanchez - Awful pick, shadow of the player that he was at Arsenal.
Tark, lowton, Morgan, dunk - too many cheapies. Upgrade one or two to Utd defence etc.
No Salah - You have lost your head.

    A) Mustafi & Gudm/Barnes

i would guess the plan would be he goes back in with Vert in a back 4, or with Vert and sanchez in a back 5.
But hard to know until he builds fitness. I'd imagine him and sanchez will share minutes over the last games. Both too expensive to risk it imo

Wildcarders - how many pre planned moves are you scheduling in before dgw34?

Most of us will use 1 to replace auba

Is it worth getting in mustafi for arsenals next 2 and the swapping him for 34??

If I get him I still have 1m itb - but not sure it is sensible planning.. ...dont seem to be any more options tho unless I go for a saint or double up on burnley.....

    Ddg Ryan
    Alonso vert xxx Lowton morgan
    Salah mahrez son willian gros
    Auba vardy barnes

    Advice appreciated. Thanks

I only plan to use my 2 transfers to Kane if he appears to be on form. The worst thing would be if some of the guys we get on WC appear to not be nailed though, and with choosing guys like McCarthy, Smalling, Christensen and even Chillwell, that, sadly, is a possibility.

I don’t mind having one as contingency in case of injury or to free funds if Kane comes back

Planning transfers to a WC team seems like madness, just get the players you want now because you will need the transfers for injuries etc

I take the risk on 2 - Mustafi and Auba

Think I’m locked on this WC.

    DDG Ryan
    Alonso Smalling Lowton Morgan Stephens
    Mahrez Son Salah Willian Gross
    Vardy Auba Barnes

1.5 ITB for Lukaku or Kane in GW34.

    Any issues?

Other than I have Robertson instead of Stephens and have 2.3itb.... Mine is exactly the same with the same plan.

Literally the same as mine except I have Mustafi in place of Stephens and only 0.1 in the bank.

I decided I might gain more in the short term, then can downgrade one defender (probably Mustafi) to free up cash for Lukaku.

Where are you planning on finding the extra Kane cash?

Love it. My team except I'm going double Burnley DF with Mee instead of Stephens as I have him since GW 1.

What's you 2 FT plans for Kaku and Kane?

Solid... you think Smalling starts regularly ahead of Jones for the remainder of the season?

Smalling, Stephens, Willian, Son, Barnes all rotation risks in 34

Don't think there is anything to suggest Barnes will be at as much risk as the others.

Wood had just scored 4 goals in 2 games off the bench in 70 minutes of play ?

He didn't replace Barnes, they both played. Barnes scored in last 3 pre games.

Do you have a FH still? Auba to Kane/Lukaku is going to leave you light in 35

Why didn't Andy list out his WC team on the Scoutcast. Both Mark and Jonty did and they even read out Az's team. Had to kind of figure it out as the video went on.

What is his DF ? Alonso Vertonghen Fernandez and ??? ???

    Last 10 Gws

    Kane 48 points

    Son 67 points

    £4.4 cheaper..

Also with Salah the main captain shout these days,
Bar Gw37 is Kane really essential??

Not about chasing points, I know how good Kane is but also noticed spreading his funds around on Wildcard gives your a far better team
