Last minute checks on the World Cup team.

Are there any glaring mistakes here? Ljajic, Meza, Inui and Pouraliganji potential changes needed? Are there better options at the price points.

Probably need a goalkeeper that isn't playing the same day as well, tempted to do Coutinho to Paulinho to upgrade to a 5.5 keeper or downgrade Kimmich:

    Caballero - Uzoho

    Kimmich - Meunier - Pouraliganji - Pavard - Varela

    Coutinho - Rodriguez - Ljajic - Meza - Inui

    Suarez - Griezmann - Lukaku

Caballero -> Schmeichel, and if you really want an argentinian def - Tagliafico

Schmeichel plays same day too is the only issue. Then again not really sure what I'm expecting from Nigeria

Right, forgot about that. Then I would do Caballero to El Kajoui. Morocco are solid and it saves you 0.5m to do Pouraliganji to Tagliafico

I'd actually be interested in hearing peoples thoughts on Meza. He was touted the other day as a good pick but I don't know a huge amount about him

I’m following the herd. Talks of him being a good quick dribbliler playing in an hopefully attacking Argentina side with decent fixtures at 5.5m.

“I think it’s this one” draft, part 718172827
    RMT:
    Muslera Uzoho
    Danilo Godin Meunier Mojica Dalsgaard
    Eriksen James Carrasco Cueva AlDawsari
    Cavani Lukaku Werner

Solid? Dislike not having Brazil but I’ve decided that Werner > Jesus and prefer Eriksen and James to any of the mids.

          Don't see why he wouldn't.
TAA is his only competition really, if they keep Walker as part of the back three, which is how they've played in all the friendlies.

There's an argument for heavy rotation against Belgium if both teams are through, but I doubt it to be honest.

Any reason why Fabianski is the expected starting keeper for Poland rather than Szczesny? I would have thought it would be the Champions League semi-finalist rather than the keeper of a relegated team!

    1. Atimis
      • 7 Years
      5 years, 10 months ago

LOL, you even watch PL? Fabianski was one of the best GKs in PL while Szczesny played 50/50 with Buffon.

Yes, I do. Thanks for the 'tude. I'm aware of how decent Fabianski is but I also realise how much playing for a major team like Juve counts, as well as being chosen to be the man who steps into the shoes of one of the greatest keepers ever.
