Walcott fit to start for Everton while Pellegrini rings the changes

Everton take on rock-bottom West Ham United in the penultimate match of Gameweek 5, with kick-off at Goodison Park at 16:00 BST.

Theo Walcott (£6.7m) was the second-most-sold Fantasy Premier League player of this round, with over a third of his owners ditching the Everton winger after he picked up an injury in the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town a fortnight ago.

Walcott, however, has won his race to be fit for this afternoon’s match, along with defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye (£4.9m).

Richarlison (£6.6m), still the most-owned Everton outfield player in FPL despite his recent ban, sits out the last match of his suspension, while the injured Seamus Coleman (£5.3m) joins the lengthy list of players unavailable to Marco Silva for this afternoon’s encounter.

Jonjoe Kenny (£4.3m) – who recorded a clean sheet and an assist in this fixture last season – comes into the Everton starting XI in place of Coleman, with Tom Davies (£5.4m) making way for Gueye in the double-pivot.

Everton have yet to keep a clean sheet this season, but Jordan Pickford (£5.4m) remains the fourth-most-popular goalkeeper in FPL in spite of this.

Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) is the most-owned player on show on either side at Goodison, with the Austrian having scored both of West Ham’s Premier League goals this season.

The Hammers’ poor defensive record of ten goals conceded and no clean sheets has influenced over half a million FPL managers’ selections between the sticks: 70.8% of Lukasz Fabianski‘s (£4.5m) owners have benched the Polish shot-stopper this week.

Manuel Pellegrini has made six changes to the side that lost 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers two weeks ago, including the recall of Pablo Zabaleta (£4.3m) and Arthur Masuaku (£4.5m) at full-back.

Pellegrini has seemingly switched from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3, with Mark Noble (£4.9m), Declan Rice (£4.4m) and Pedro Obiang (£4.4m) the all-new central midfield three. The injured Jack Wilshere (£4.9m) is among those to make way.

Andriy Yarmolenko (£6.8m) gets his first Premier League start in a front three alongside Felipe Anderson (£6.9m) and Arnautovic.

Everton XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Digne, Zouma, Holgate, Kenny; Schneiderlin, Gueye; Calvert-Lewin, Sigurdsson, Walcott; Tosun.

West Ham United XI (4-3-3): Fabianski; Zabaleta, Balbuena, Diop, Masuaku; Noble, Rice, Obiang; Yarmolenko, Arnautovic, Felipe Anderson

Time to move Pedro on, I’m leaning towards Rich but Maddison is really making a case for himself. What are people’s opinions,

    A Rich
    B Maddison
    C Other, if so who?

Arsenal can’t defend whatsoever so would always back a team to score vs them (Arsenal fan)

The fixtures do favour Maddison but Rich seems good for a goal against anyone, he bagged 2 for Brazil the other day..

Rich could score points in any game. Everton have the potential to lose by 4 to Arsenal but pick up a few goals in the process. A bit Martinez right now.

It’s more long term I’m looking at, Rich could definitely bag a decent amount of goals, I just think Maddison has been playing really well without anyone making to much of a fuss of him.

Gutted I bottled Salah to Hazard on Saturday morning... but at least I now have 2 FTs to play with:

    A) Walcott/Arnie to Fraser/Zaha
    B) Walcott/Arnie/B Silva to Fraser/Zaha/D Silva (-4)
    C) Walcott/Arnie/B Silva to Fraser/Vardy/Richarlison (-4)

    Pickford,
    Mendy, Robertson, Alonso, Wan-Bissaka
    Salah, Mane, B Silva, Walcott,
    Kun, Arnie.

    Subs: Stek, Bennett, Stephens, Ings.

    Zaha Aguero Auba

I wanna get rid of a lot of players. Pickford, Peltier,Walcott to Richarlinson, Cairney as he will probably drop tonight, Kante and Auba. I'll maybe will get rid of Zaha and Robertson thanks to fixtures too.

    4.5 (Stekelenburg)

I will transfer out all my bench players. But there is still 3-4 transfers in the starting 11 that I wanna do (pickford, walcott, Auba, maybe zaha). The goal is to get rid of Auba and get in Hazard. Cairney will drop tonight also.

After hovering over Salah > Hazard all of last week and deciding against it yesterday morning, I've just made 1 of 2 FT's.
Myki > Fraser leaving me 2m ITB.

I removed Mané last night and I'm having slight regrets because I think he's been amazing value (compared to Salah) so far this season.

You've missed one price rise already though and you can afford to wait a day or two now, so see what happens midweek.

A little bit of a laugh I am having, but my point is lets not take teams for granted.
Cardiff and lyon will both be up for these
Pep I suspect has caged Mendy to savage the Frenchmen in midweek

i know we're not great but his man to man record is pretty good. Check his Iceland vs Argentina role in the World Cup...

Definitely keeping. Great performance yesterday but more importantly his stats were excellent. In previous weeks he played well but never really looked like getting points. Yesterday he had 4 shots (3 of them in the box) and 5 chances created.

    Aguero - flagged

Did Mkhi -> Fraser last night so 1 ft and £1.5m itb

Depending on whether he'll be out next game Arnie to Mitro could be on cards for -4. I was doing that swap anyway due to fixture shift and I think Mitro is outperforming Arnie. West Ham have really struggled until today and I think Arnie will be surviving off of penalties and scraps.

Magic winger puts sane out of a job, poor defender.
The other answer is a tactical removal from squad, horses for courses to negate any threat from Fulham and allow sane to play
      Delph was excellent
      Pep rotation starts
      Yes I was there

Fan favourite, goal for new dad, excellent on the one touch and move with dilva and bilva
However crowd frustrated by his refusal to take on defensive responsibilities, waving of arms at other people and not anticipating Fulham attacks.
He looked low on confidence and rusty
Many thought pep got subs all wrong- Sane should have been brought off for sane to get applause ,Zink for Delphi and foden for injured kun as game was won
          But he is the boss

Thank you very much. I thought he looked much sharper than he has done of recent. He was looking so good it times last year it'd be nice to see him return to form and get some game time. Lad needs his confidence back.

Yes pep is tough- not subbing to personal applause would have been good
Every corner he took was chanted.
Didn't have last year's swagger, needs time ,I don't think he can play in same team as Mendy
Good squad - kun the only FPL potential

Into the top 6k so obviously happy about that. Would just like opinion on whether I should use wildcard to get rid of some dead wood, ie Speroni, Pickford, Duffy and Mkhitaryan or just ride it out. Used my FT to get in Fraser.

    Pickford Speroni

    Mendy Alonso VVD Duffy Bennett

    Hazard Mkhitaryan Mane Neves Fraser

    Aguero Arnautovic Mitrovic

      -4 for mkhi
Duffy and pickford are ones u can make in the next 2 weeks if no1 else gets injured for u.
Speroni is a 2nd keeper who u wont need bar when u play bench boost so worry about him in April
