Battling through traffic, illness and technical glitches, the Scoutcast crew emerge triumphant to discuss the key issues affecting Fantasy Football managers in Gameweek 9 and beyond.

After being stuck in motorway congestion a cold-ridden Az dropped by to join David, Andy and I just in time to answer the community’s questions about why none of us own assets from Arsenal. This is particularly head-scratching given the Gunners have scored more goals than any other side over the last four Gameweeks.

We also shake our heads in disbelief at why so many Fantasy managers are ignoring Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, who is proving to be well worth his premium price tag this term.

Liverpool’s injury list and patchy form of some of their top players ahead of a fine run of games also come under scrutiny.

Elsewhere, David invents ‘the courteous brag’ as he details how he was the only member of the crew not to be entranced by Tottenham’s misfiring striker Harry Kane in Gameweek 8.

Gameweek 9 differentials and clean sheet prospects also get an airing and we finish off with Andy putting the rest of our transfer plans to shame with a typically audacious set of moves.

    So noone knows anything about Salah. How come some regular guy is not a brother or a friend of the Liverpool's physio and we don't know the situation already. Why doesn't it work that way?

      My work colleague's wife's brother's friend of a friend knows a guy who owns a Chinese takeaway where one of Liverpool's physios frequents occasionally. I'll ask him to ask her to ask her to ask him if they have heard any definitive news.

    Apps tell me cap Hazard. My brain says cap Salah. I also have little Aguero running out there leading the Scout poll, but Fantasy Fix says he's one of my lowest performing players. Gut still says Mo, but my gut has puked out few captain returns last few weeks. ??

    1. Aguero in for Kane for Burnley (mainly because I still have my WC + can move back to Kane around GW 15 if need be when their fixtures turn).

    Am i crazy for considering Mane, Kane > Sterling, Aguero (-4)? Will leave me with no L'pool for the moment but will get Robbo next week for Tripps. Liverpool haven't really been scoring for fun of late and I can see City putting at least a few in the back of the net against Burnley.

      I've exactly same plans not sure yet. Imo Mane wont play, why risk him against Hud when you have Sturridge, Shaqiri even Lallana covering.

      Kane could haul, Aguero might be subbed again around 60mins. Sterling also rotation risk. KdB also option.

      TV 104.5 SV 102.2 - so almost exactly same as you. Hazards going nowhere and he is my biggest point riser 0.8.
      To be honest I feel SV doesn’t benefit me until gw26-32 when I use my 2nd WC and go shopping for expensive products.

      TV 104.9 (including Maddi from last night), SV 102.5. Depending on when you got the players the SV growth should generally be half of the TV growth, im my experience.

      I think so. He always scores a point every 17 minutes or so. The type you can fill a space in your side and forget. People say he is not performing so far. He will.

      Very poor xG, his xA isn't bad but for 9.3m you want more than assists.

      I really think if Salah or Mane has been on better form Firmino would have much higher points total, can't get an assist if nobody can score. But still, for cost, I don't see the value there.

      I know coverage is a concept people buy into, but if Vardy is better than Firmino and Sterling is better than Salah then why wouldn't you do that and have no Pool attackers?

      Firmino seems to thrive off of good interplay with Liv mids. Only players to miss game from thumb injury in the past 4-5 years are goal keepers, so Mane starts & Mo starts, Firmino has a great chance of performing against Huddersfield.

    B) After GW10, Rui -> Ryan (another great stretch, worse team)
    C) Now go Rui -> Ryan (same as above but Ryan slightly better fixtures GW9/10 but Wolves better than BHA)
    D) After GW10, Rui -> Schmeichel (great fixtures but fewer, premium price)

    Have 2.4 ITB so even after Trippier -> Robbo and Fraser -> Maddison, have enough for Schmeichel and ~0.5 ITB left to upgrade Callum Wilson when fixtures turn.

        Wow just took a closer look, definitely Rui+Fab. Any reason not to wait until whichever week (GW10 or 11) I would first start Fab? Balancing injury risk vs price risk.
