Aubameyang continues to defy Christmas rotation threat

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.5m) continues to defy the Christmas rotation as he starts his tenth Premier League match in a row against Brighton.

The Arsenal forward even played the full 90 minutes as the Gunners lost to Tottenham in the recent EFL Cup quarter-final.

Unai Emery has decided to go with the big guns up top again as Alexandre Lacazette (£9.5m) also earns a start.

Meanwhile, Lucas Torreira (£5.2m) returns to central midfield after earning a rest against Burnley, while Laurent Koscielny (£5.4m) gets back into the side alongside Sokratis Papastathopoulos (£5.1m).

Mathew Ryan (£4.5m) plays in goal with his Asian Cup departure with Australia looming large, while Shane Duffy (£4.6m) returns from a three-game ban to replace the suspended Lewis Dunk (£4.5m).

Jurgen Locadia (£5.3m) gets another start on the wing at Anthony Knockaert‘s (£5.4m) expense, with Glenn Murray (£6.5m) coming back in, as expected.

      Tough one because the City mids and Alonso could so easily start firing again. I’d keep Sane because he’s cheaper so maybe A but personally I’m keeping Alonso.

    Feel like going for Martial over Pogba this week was a case of over thinking it. Pogba is more nailed and was always likely to have the biggest up turn in form from Mourinho leaving.It was unlucky Martial missing out today but I do feel like Pogba is the better option now.

    Pressure on Danny Ings to show up tomorrow to claw some of the Pogba points back as Martial being cheaper allowed me to get Ings.

    Sadly it would now take a hit to switch over from Martial to Pogba...

        I was weighing up Pogba and Rashford (with Masuaku) and instead went for Martial and Ings (with Fraser).

        Only positive at this stage is AWB’s bench points coming on so if Ings does something I’m probably ok for this week at least.

      Not over thinking it. Martial was ill - couldn't predict that.

      Pogba is THE nailed-on option, and have to agree he's a great pick, but I don't think Martial was a bad pick.

        Yeah the illness was definitely unlucky.

        To be honest virtually as soon as I clicked confirm transfers I wished I’d gone for Pogba - I think he was the obvious pick whereas Martial is the “clever” pick.
