Well last night really ruined the wildcard Ive been working on for 4 weeks, and basicly my whole season. Got very little motivation to start over now with only 2 days til deadline, but this is what Ive come up with:

    A) +1.1 ITB
    FOSTER - Ryan
    Duffy - Cathcart - Valery - Doherty - VERTONGHEN
    Sterling - Son - Eriksen - Mane - JOTA
    LACAZETTE - Deeney - Jimenez

    or

    B)
    LLORIS - Ryan
    Duffy - Cathcart - Valery - Doherty - JONNY
    Sterling - Son - Eriksen - Mane - DEULOFEU
    AGUERO - Deeney - Jimenez

B would mean doubble Wolves defence and that I cant start Lloris against Hudds which feels like 6p on the bench. With A I can play Vertonghen against Hudds.

    Ant thoughts appriciated. Thanks!

Cash not being an issue, which 2 defenders would you pick for GW35 and 36? I'm looking at:

    A) Vertonghen/Toby/Trippier (HUD, mcy, BHA)
    B) Laporte (crp, TOT, manu)
    C) Duffy (CAR, BOU, wol, tot)
    D) SOU defender (WOL, new, wat)

Some SGWer worth picking over them?

Looks solid and pretty similar to mine (see below). Perhaps plan a route back to Salah in 36 - think you need to find another 0.7m - Laporte downgrade would be my suggestion as I don't fancy many clean sheets in their next few games.

    (Captain) on GW35:

    C) Spurs: Son/Eriksen?

Kun is probably your man then - hard fixtures dont rly mean much to him. Just need City to find their form - been so sluggish recently. Need to get Sane/KDB back on the pitch imo

Assuming Kane is ruled out for a while, how do people view Spurs' attacking options?

For me it makes Son a no-brainer, as he'll likely be playing up top and he has a great record when doing so.

That being said, I do expect their xG to decrease with Kane out, and with no Kane to meet those Eriksen crosses, does that lessen Eriksen as an option?

    1. wernerhedgehog
      • 6 Years
      5 years, 26 days ago

The 4 games Kane was out:

Son: 3 goals in 3, scored every game
      Eriksen: 2 assists 1 goal in 4.

        Son 8.7 ppg 😯
        Eriksen 6 ppg

Which is obviously decent...but worth noting the fixtures were ful, WAT, NEW, LEI, so pretty accommodating.

Surely people are realising now that activating your wildcard with the intention of filling up with DGW players, is a bad idea at this stage.

You need several SGW players. The likes of triple Liverpool, Vardy, Hazard etc.
I find it incredibly unlikely Son, Sterling, aguero etc will even start this week - nor will
They even start both the doubles.

6 games in three weeks is intense for any team. Even one with the depth of City

    1. TOPCAT1960
      • 7 Years
      5 years, 26 days ago

Sterling is the only one in that group I am considering as a DGW player. You are right... how many times have we seen this happen, you fill your team with players that have two fixtures in a GW, to be then disappointed by the selections when the players minutes are reduced sometimes to cameo 1 pointers.

On balance though, this is the business end of the season and teams need there big players to perform. Kane injury has put a spanner into FPL players WC teams i would imagine and adds to the intrigue of the game. Don't you just love it !!

The Doubles has come at the wrong time this season.
For the first time, in a very long time.
We have four English teams still in the CL. They’re all going all out for the CL games.

The result last night has reinforced the need to wait and see what the second leg results are - before deciding which teams to even fill up with.
Hell, even Man Utd might be the best option for the doubles - as I can’t see them progressing past Barca

Guess I'll be going into gw34(BB 35) with this WC team with 5m itb.

    Ryan - Foster
    Duffy - Dunk - Laporte - TAA - Doherty
    Mane - Son - Eriksen - Jota - JWP
    Kun - Deeney - Jiminez

gw 35: Ryan to Lloris and maybe Dunk to Valery (-4)

    Thoughts?

Am I the only one not convinced by Aguero?

Doesn't look sharp, minutes could be reduced and think City will struggle in their next 3. Prefer to go with Vardy then switch to Laca/Auba next week.

    1. Whats the Mata?
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Laca/Auba aren't nailed. Emery himself said he'll rotate his strikers accordingly, plus their record in away games which they have plenty.

City are going for the title and the only player in City to have played more mins when fit more than Kun is Ederson.

Plus with Kane out, he looks like the only premium fwd worth considering

      1. Mweene
        • 10 Years
        5 years, 26 days ago

Fitting him in means downgrading elsewhere though.

I want my 15 to be as strong as possible if I'm using bench boost and Aguero doesn't convince me enough to pay that price.

Vardy (c) for me this week as he has the form, the fixture and is nailed.

          • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Why do you have to downgrade?
If you're on a WC I don't think anyone will have any money issues as Kane isn't an option any more

          1. Mweene
            • 10 Years
            5 years, 26 days ago

Because I want strong players in my 15 to make use of bench boost.

Might as well play triple cap instead if you're going to use it for guff like Brighton and Southampton players.

You forget DGW players are like crack to people here. Even if they are complete tripe like Brighton or Southampton players.

Ripping up your team for DGW players has backfired massively before, especially when you get players who are likely to be rested.

Same here. Thinking of keeping Vardy in the mix for a couple of games.

    Who would you choose?

    B. Vardy
    C. Deeney

Tough call. Vardy and Leicester are in such good form at the moment. He'll surely get a full runout for his 2 games. Probably not much fewer minutes than the others, and 2 very good fixtures.

    Latest WC, any good?

    Lloris,
    Laporte, Duffy, Trent,
    Salah, Sterling, Eriksen, Son C,
    Vardy, Jimmy, Troy

    Foster, Jota, Doherty, Valery.

Will look at a Kun without Sterling later?

      Nice team 🙂
I'm not convinced by Salah though.

To be fair Mane has not looked good past two games, so bit of coin flip.
Lucky in having high TV salah don’t detract much.

I like it. Not sure on sterling and son at this stage.
Might only start one PL game in the next three

Son got me good points last time Harry was out.
Will look at team with Kun later but either is a risk with fixture pile up?

    Morning dzzz, thoughts here?

    Foster • XXX
    Doherty • Duffy • Kola • Valery • XXX
    Sterling • Pogba • Son • Jwp • XXX
    Jimenez • Kun • XXX

    A: Ryan + Dunk ( >> holebas in gw35) + Deulefeu + Auba
    B: Ryan + Trippier + Mané/Eriksen + Murray (>> Deeney in gw35)
    C: LLoris + Dunk + Mane/Eriksen + Murray (>> deeney in gw35)
    D: Gunn + Dunk (>> holebas gw35) + Deulofeu + Auba

The plan is to do Sterling > Salah in gw36 regardless

        but why?
I like having 3 brighton for this week but wouldn't want any GW 35. Brighton have good fixtures GW 36. Soton also have better fixture GW 36.
