The FPL line-up lessons we learned from Gameweek 5

We take our regular look back at the Premier League line-ups from the weekend just gone, analysing the systems and personnel used by the 20 top-flight clubs and seeing what lessons could be learned ahead of Gameweek 6.

The article has taken a slightly different format this week as we harness the use of the average position maps in our Members’ Area.

The figures in brackets given after each player name correspond to the numbered shirts in the position maps.

    Would you downgrade TAA to VVD if it meant you could upgrade Mane to Salah? Or is TAA + Mane the better option

      Salah isn't a real upgrade considering how good Mané really is.
      I'd stick with TAA and Mané. TAA will have more shots and assists and Mané will finish with at least the same points as Salah 😉

              Mount likely to only be out for the Liverpool game if there’s no ligament damage, as rumoured. Your squad is trying enough to bench him for that game then have him for Chelsea’s excellent fixture run.

        Ditched Salah for Son and Tammy...Thought it was a good idea since Che away next. Now realising that Salah will play vs Alonso and Sterling is much bigger risk than I thought.

    Everyone is thinking to sell Sterling but nobody saying why?
    I think he is playing way too wide. Last year he got lot of tap ins. I think sane was used as the wide man last year and since kdb is back, he runs the show forcing sterling to play like a traditional winger.
    When aguero plays, sterling even more ineffective. He is just too wide.
    Thoughts?

      I am thinking the same thing, glad im not the only one. In pre season someone posted an article postulating that sterling is less effective when played on the left especially with Bsilva on the right. I will give him at least one more week though.

    McGinn > Cantwell

    I could do Robo to Rico instead and not need the hit but I think the Soyuncu play is a better long term move.
