Using FFS data and tools to find the best De Bruyne replacement for Gameweek 20

Just when Fantasy Premier League managers thought they could breathe and relax after Double Gameweek 19, many of us now have injury problems to solve.

Ahead of Tuesday’s deadline, Kevin De Bruyne (£11.9m) has been ruled out for “four to six weeks” with a muscular injury and needs replacing.

When these sorts of developments occur, there is a fantastic opportunity for Fantasy managers. With everyone going in a different direction from a common player all at once, the potential for green arrows goes up – if you can make the right choice. And, because Gameweeks 20 to 23 take place in a span of 14 days, the FPL landscape is going to change very quickly.

Accordingly, I have gone over some De Bruyne replacements to help you make the right choice ahead of Gameweek 20. As this uses extensive data from the Fantasy Football Scout Premium Members Area, only those with a valid subscription can access it in full.

I'm tempted to move to a front three, having played a five man midfield for a number of weeks now. Who would you consider putting up front alongside Kane and Bamford?

    a) DCL
    b) Ings
    c) Antonio
    d) Martial
    e) Cavani

Honestly I like them all apart from Martial, think they could all be good options. Going on immediate fixtures though I'd probably say DCL or Cavani

Do we think Salah falls with a new set of early transfers being made?

Unfortunately don't think there will be much of a bus (Dier last on bench!)

Only 3 CS in the last 10 of this fixture, and they've all been Pool. 2-1 is a very common result.

I am from their next door neighbor with open border, who understands the language and culture. So, I know about it as well, but thought it had diluted among educated and modern Indian youths. Maybe the attacks before the election and recent tension has escalated it again.

It doesn't exist amongst general people.
But as soon as it's about Cricket political issues pop up.

I am aware of this to some extent as I am a Nepalese. Like I mentioned above, it must have escalated after the Pulwama incident? With the strength you have in the cricket team, you should actually root for having a cricket match to feel good and get the nation united? 😉

Whenever these games happen they bring some political issues around it IMHO.
Yeah India are a strong cricketing power atm.
Basically my problem isn't about Cricket at all 😀

Hence I said above, for me whenever it can be avoided should be avoided.

True story: Back in 2003 I was arrested by a bent cop on a bus going from Kathmandu to Delhi after he saw my Muslim-looking surname on my passport (I'm a UK citizen). Accused me of being Al Qaeda. After hours of checking with a CIA database he eventually released me on the grounds of being too old to be a terrorist. I felt like saying, 'How dare you! I could be a suicide bomber with 20 failed missions behind me!' I didn't though - I paid a ten quid bribe and carried on.

    Thoughts? Need to start 3:

    A) Soucek, Smith-Rowe and Wilson
    B) Kane, Smith-Rowe and Wilson (-4)
    C) Kane, Soucek and Wilson (-4)

Basically trying to decide whether to take -4 to get Kane in for Vardy now or whether to wait for next week.

I think he's the 2nd best C option this week. But I'm not gonna do it. It's just foolish to go against Bruno (c) this week imo.

That's a tough one! I'd probably go with Coufal for assist potential in that particular matchup with Palace.

      A. Really need to play a 7+ defender every week or it's not worth having them

copy and paste; still not decided

    Here's my team;

    Meslier

    Robbo/Dias/Justin/Coufal/Johnson

    Salah/Fernandes/Soucek/Raphinha/Romeu

    Vardy/Firmino/Bamford

    Current options I'm looking at:

    Vardy + Firmino + Raphinha > Kane + Watkins + Barnes (-4), bench Coufal

or Firmino + Raphinha > Watkins + Barnes (free), bench Vardy and play Coufal, replace Vardy next GW with better info on his injury. Bench would be weak though

You wld rather dallas over robbo or coufal. 7m is too much for a defender rn and robbo has not been proving the value the last five gameweeks. What makes you think he can even get a cleanie vs son and kane. Coufal wld be pinned back with zaha back for crystal palace.

Thanks. I’ll reassess Robbo on gw25 wildcard until then I’m more than ok playing him.

So, with both first choice Saints fullbacks out of the game, are arsenal attackers becoming more attractive for this GW? Previously was thinking to bench Saka, now in doubt. So the question, which one to bench from this lot:
    Saka, Rashford, Ziyech, Lacazette, Antonio?

    2)Also thinking TAA & Vardy & Soucek > Cancelo & Kane & Gund -8 ( have exact funds)

    Would give me
    Ederson/Martinez
    Cancelo/Coufal/Justin/Dallas/Mitchell
    Son/Bruno/Salah/*Gund or Soucek/Anquissa
    Bamford/Antonio/Kane
